CHAPTER THREE
The smell of cinnamon filled the penthouse as I slid another piece of French toast onto the platter.
Monday mornings usually started with business.
Today started with breakfast. I stood barefoot in the kitchen wearing nothing but a pair of black boxers while bacon sizzled in one pan and scrambled eggs cooked in another.
My phone rested against the backsplash on speaker.
"So, it's confirmed?"
"Yeah. The lease was converted to month-to-month six months ago."
"Good."
I flipped another slice of French toast.
"I want the termination notice on his door today."
"You got it."
"And his job?"
A light chuckle came through the speaker.
"He won't be clocking in today."
"Bet."
I reached over and turned the burner down.
"I appreciate it."
"Anything else?"
"Nah."
I ended the call and set my phone on the counter just as I heard soft footsteps behind me.
When I looked up, Kaior was standing in the kitchen wearing one of my black T-shirts that stopped halfway down her thighs.
Her bonnet sat a little crooked on her head, and sleep was still written all over her face.
The second her eyes landed on the stove, she smiled. "Something smells good."
I couldn't help smiling back.
"Mornin'."
"Mornin'."
She walked over and wrapped her arms around my waist from behind before resting her cheek against my back.
"You been up long?"
"'Bout an hour."
"Mmm."
She stayed there for a second without saying anything. I laid my hand over hers.
"You sleep alright?"
"I did thanks to you."
I looked over my shoulder at her.
"I aim to please."
She laughed under her breath and shook her head. "You really think highly of yourself, don't you?"
"I don't think." I slid another piece of French toast onto her plate. "I know."
I turned around in her arms and brushed my thumb across her cheek.
"You gotta work today?"
She shook her head.
"No."
"No?"
"I'm off."
A grin spread across my face.
"Perfect."
"Why?"
"Cause I got plans for you."
She raised an eyebrow.
"What kinda plans?"
I leaned down and kissed her forehead before turning back toward the stove.
"The kind that start with breakfast."
She smiled and leaned against the island, watching me finish cooking. I transferred the bacon onto a paper towel-lined plate, scooped the eggs onto another, then stacked the last few slices of French toast on top of the pile. I wiped my hands on the dish towel before turning to face her.
"I hope you're hungry."
A smile spread across her face. She moved close enough for her fingertips to graze my chest, slowly rubbing over my tattooed skin.
"I am," she said softly. "But I'd like to start with an appetizer first."
Kaior licked my chest, trailing down my six pack and past my belly button.
She sunk down to her knees and pulled my dick out of my boxers.
I groaned, my head falling back as her warm mouth wrapped around my dick.
She licked and sucked, her tongue swirling around the head, her hand pumping my shaft in rhythm.
I let out a slow breath, savoring the feeling of her mouth on me.
Kaior had me standing on my tippy toes. My left hand rested on top of her head and my right hand held onto the counter. I didn't guide her, didn't need to. She knew what she was doing and what she was doing to me.
I gritted my teeth, trying to hold back my nut that was threatening to bust. But Kaior wasn't having it.
She increased her pace, her hand moving faster, her mouth taking me deeper.
Each lick, each suck, sent jolts of pleasure straight to my core.
Her rhythm was perfect. I could feel the heat building, my breath coming in short gasps.
I looked down at her, her eyes locked onto mine, and it was almost too much for me to handle.
I could feel the pressure twisting in my lower belly. When the tip of my dick started hitting the back of her throat, that was it. I was done for and she knew that shit too.
“Fuck bae, I’m ‘bouta nut.”
I let out a low growl, my body tensing as I busted a nut in her mouth. Kaior didn't pull back, didn't stop. She kept sucking on me. When the last wave finally subsided, I was left panting.
“Shit girl!”
"You taste like sin, you know that?"
“Then I guess sin looks good on us.”
Kaior stood up with a smug smile plastered across her face, her braces flashing as she grinned. She leaned in, her lips brushing against my ear.
"I aim to please," she whispered before stepping away and washing her hands in the sink.
After she turned the water off, she dried her hands on the towel beside the sink.
"Let's eat."
I looked over at the plates sitting on the island and laughed. "Girl, you done damn near made our breakfast cold."
She shrugged.
"It was worth it."
"It definitely was."
She grinned, picked up one of the plates, and handed me the other.
"I'll forgive you this time."
"You better."
I followed her over to the dining table, carrying my plate while she grabbed the syrup and orange juice on her way. She set everything in the middle before taking the seat across from me.
I picked up my fork.
"Go 'head."
She cut off a piece of French toast, dipped it into the syrup, and took a bite. Her eyes got big and she slowly lowered her fork.
"Oh..."
"What?"
"This is good."
"I know."
"No, seriously."
She took another bite before pointing her fork at me and shaking her head. "I didn't know you could cook."
"There ain't much I can't do."
She laughed.
"I see."
I took a bite of my own food and leaned back in my chair. For the next few minutes, we ate in comfortable silence. The only sounds filling the penthouse were our forks tapping against our plates and the occasional clink of our glasses as we reached for the orange juice.
Kaior looked up from her plate and smiled. "I've been meaning to ask you something."
I looked over at her.
"What are these plans you got for me today?"
A grin spread across my face.
"You'll see."
She laughed and pointed her fork at me.
"There you go."
"What?"
"You always do that."
"Do what?"
"Give me half an answer."
I chuckled.
"I gave you a whole answer."
"No, you didn't."
"I said you'll see."
She shook her head, smiling to herself.
"See? That's exactly what I'm talking about."
I reached for my glass of orange juice.
"Patience looks good on you."
"It better."
"It does."
She narrowed her eyes at me.
"You really ain't gone tell me?"
"Nope."
She sighed dramatically before taking another bite of her French toast. "I can't stand you."
I laughed.
"That's alright."
"Why?"
"'Cause I know you gone be smiling when we get there."
She smiled and finished the last bite of her breakfast while I cleared our plates from the table. Whatever I had planned for today, she'd find out soon enough.
