Chapter 30
CHAPTER
THIRTY
WESLEY
“What the fuck did you do to the weed?” I swing my gaze to Sylas, slowly blinking as I try to clear my head.
He gapes at me, eyes wide. “Nothing!” he shouts.
“Clearly, you laced it with something, because we’re tripping really fucking hard right now,” I growl.
“Sylas!” Jasper snaps. “I fucking told you not to fuck with us anymore!”
“I didn’t!” he argues. “We smoked regular fucking weed. I didn’t do anything to it.”
“Someone must have laced our drinks, then.” Jasper scrubs his face, letting out a frustrated growl.
“No one laced your drinks.” Nola’s voice snaps all our attention forward.
I rub at my eyes, trying to clear my vision, to make this hallucination disappear, but when I blink again, she’s still standing there, naked, her pale skin on display.
“Fuck. Me,” I whisper, my heart starting to race, my cock thickening to the point it’s nearly painful. She is really here.
My eyes fall to the body on the ground, brows pulling together. I look at the girl with her neck sliced open, blood pooling around her head.
“You killed her,” I state, lifting my eyes back up to Nola.
“I did.” The smile she gives me is full of pure pride and accomplishment.
“Why?” Sylas asks.
Her happy expression melts off her face as confusion takes its place. “Did you not listen to anything I just said?” she questions. “I gave this big, long, profound speech professing my love and devotion to the three of you, and none of it clicked?”
“Excuse us if it’s going to take some fucking time to process what’s going on,” Jasper growls. “This…” he holds up the piece of paper Nola gave him. “These names. They’re the names of the victims of the Butterfly Killer.”
“Yes.” Nola nods.
“Let me see that.” I snatch it from Jasper and read over all the names. But towards the bottom, there’s new names we’ve never heard of. “These are new.”
“I know. They’re the girls I killed tonight. The ones I saw you with while you were partying on Bourbon Street. Work, huh?” Her hands land on her hips as she glares at the three of us. “It’s not nice to lie. That shit hurts my feelings.”
“Sorry?” Jasper says, but it comes out more like a question. He’s confused. We all are. I have no fucking clue what’s going on. I have so many questions.
She’s standing there naked, with blood on her hands, her perfect tits on display, and that cunt… fuck me, she’s so fucking sexy.
“You should be!” she shouts. “To find out my boyfriends lied so they could go hook up with other girls is fucked up. Just so you know.”
“Boyfriends?” My brows rise.
“Yes. Boyfriends.” She nods.
“We’re not your boyfriends,” Jasper replies sternly.
“Uh, yeah, you are. Keep up,” she corrects. “I told you. You’re mine. I’m yours. There is no other option.”
“Holy fuck,” Sylas huffs out a laugh of disbelief. “She’s fucking crazy.” He says it with so much joy, I can’t help but smile.
I want to say none of this is real, that we’re just tripping hardcore right now. But I saw her with my own eyes. She killed that girl. And she didn’t even blink.
“Let me get this straight,” Jasper cuts in. “You’re saying you’re the one who killed all these girls, not the Butterfly Killer?”
“No, I’m saying I am the Butterfly Killer,” she replies, sounding tired and slightly annoyed that she has to keep repeating this. “And I killed every single name on that list.”
“Why?” Jasper asks.
“Because,” I say, a slow, sinister smile curling my lips as everything starts to click into place. “You heard what she said. She wanted to prove to us that she wasn’t the sweet, innocent girl we always believed she was.”
“Thank you.” She gestures towards me. “Someone’s getting it.
” She crosses her arms over her chest, pushing up her perky tits.
“I’m kind of disappointed. I worked hard on this reveal, and now the whole vibe is ruined.
I’m telling you that I love you. That I’m yours.
I killed all of these people to prove to you that I’m devoted to you three.
And I’m starting to feel like that’s not enough. What else do you want me to do?”
Jasper looks at me, then to Sylas. The poor guy’s brain is working in overdrive, not sure what to do.
He’s convinced himself for years that Nola would never be ours, not in the way we wanted. And here she is, proving him wrong, proving us all wrong.
He might not know how to handle this, but I do.
Getting to my feet, I watch as her eyes flick over to mine. Her pupils dilate, her breathing starting to come in quick, heavy pants as I slowly stalk toward her.
“What are you doing?” Jasper asks.
Without looking away from my Little Rabbit, I answer him, “I’m done holding back.”
“Do not touch her!” Jasper demands.
“Sorry, man,” Sylas says. “But he’s right. There’s no reason to be apart anymore. And honestly, I don’t think I could even if I wanted to.”
“Fuck’s sake!” Jasper growls.
I feel like a fucking kid on Christmas morning, ready to rip apart the wrapping and play with my new toy. I’ve dreamed of sinking my claws into this woman, amongst other things, for too fucking long.
I stop just in front, looming over her. She tilts her head back, her wide eyes staring up at me with longing, uncertainty, and something else.
It’s hope. It’s the same emotion that she stabbed into my heart like doctors do to patients who go into cardiac arrest to bring them back to life.
She licks her lips, the movement catching my attention.
A low, rumbling, possessive growl rattles in my chest. My hand reaches up to brush along the same lip her tongue just glided across, making it glisten oh-so temptingly.
She sucks in a sharp breath as a shiver runs through her body so violently at my touch alone that it has a sinister smile slowly curving my lips upward.
“Who are you?” I murmur, more to myself, but she answers anyway.
“I’m your Little Rabbit,” she whispers back.
And fuck me if it doesn’t set off something primal deep inside me.
“Yeah, you are,” I agree. “You’ve always been ours, haven’t you?
You’ve always been this sick little freak underneath that good girl persona.
You had us all fooled.” Leaning down, I bring my lips to her ear.
Her breathing was coming in quick pants, but suddenly stops altogether, holding her breath while hanging on to my every word.
“Show us, Nola. Show us how much you want us. Show us how wrong we were about you. Let us see who really hides underneath.”
“Okay,” she breathes out, quick to agree. But I’m not sure if she knows exactly what she’s agreeing to.
I know I should give her a chance to rethink her decision, but honestly, I don’t want her to.
I’ve been looking for this opening, waiting for this chance to say ‘fuck it all’ and finally take this woman as mine. No more looming in the shadows, no more fucking meaningless women to satiate the demon inside me.
He wants Nola, always has, always fucking will.
“Are you sure this is what you want?” Jasper asks, and I swing a murderous glare his way. Is he for fucking real right now? She is literally telling us she does, and this asshole has to go and try to make her question it. Fucking hell.
“Fuck off,” I snarl.
He stares back at me with a deadly stare.
“Before we fucking touch her, I want to make sure she understands what she’s getting into!
” he snaps, his eyes darting back to Nola.
“When it comes to sex, we’re not nice people, Nola.
We’re not going to ‘make love’ to you. We’re not gonna whisper in your ear how perfect you are, that you’re so pretty or amazing, and blah blah fucking blah,” Jasper sneers mockingly.
“I know,” she says, without hesitation, not an ounce of uncertainty in her voice. “I’ve seen how you can be with my own eyes. You’re not going to scare me away, Jasper, so stop trying.”
Gripping her face, I bring her attention back to me.
Leaning in, I get close enough that our lips just barely brush.
“Safe word is Butterfly. Be grateful you even get one, because no one ever has, understood?” She nods firmly once.
“Then get on your fucking knees,” I snarl, taking in the aroused excitement shining in her eyes.
“I said,” I snap when she doesn’t move fast enough.
“Get to your fucking knees!” I grab her shoulders, roughly shoving her downward, and she cries out so prettily when her knees crash into the ground.
“Wesley,” Jasper barks.
“Shut the fuck up,” I snap back. “She has a safe word. She can use it any fucking time. Unless she says it, I don’t wanna hear anything else from you.”
Bringing my attention back to my Little Rabbit, I grab a handful of her hair. She whimpers as I yank her head back, the sound going right to my fucking balls. She looks so fucking beautiful on her knees like this, her breasts heaving with every breath she takes, her eyes wide with want.
“Please,” she whimpers.
“Please, what?” I ask.
“Let me go.”
I cock my head to the side. Let her go? What game is she playing at?
“You heard her,” Jasper says demandingly.
“I said shut the fuck up,” I snarl, not pulling my attention away from Nola.
She didn’t say the safe word, and I doubt she’d change her mind this early after all she did. No. My Little Rabbit is playing a game. A game I fucking love.
“You want me to stop.” She nods her head quickly. I grip her chin tightly, making her gasp. Pressing my fingers into her jaw, I force her to open nice and wide for me. “Too fucking bad. I don’t want to let you go, Nola. I just fucking got you.”
Holding her face with one hand and a handful of her hair with the other, I yank her forward, bringing the tip of my cock to her lips.
With a cruel chuckle, I grin. “Can’t beg me to stop when your throat is filled with my cock,” I tease. And then I’m thrusting forward, forcing her to take my entire length, hitting the back of her throat.
I moan as soon as her hot, wet mouth engulfs my cock, and at the sounds of her choking as she tries to swallow around me.
