Chapter Three
Someone bumped the menacing Dom from behind, enough to loosen his hold for her to be able to jerk away from him and run.
“Dammit. Get back here,” he bellowed over the heads of the people between him and the woman, who was putting more space between them every second.
Mina rushed fearfully through the crowd, dodging the hands that reached out to grab her. She turned and looked behind her and ran into a giant wall of muscle.
“Whoa, pet. Easy.”
“No ... no. Please let me go,” she said and kept looking behind her for the first Dom that had held her captive.
“No can do.”
“This has to be the woman Blake was talking about. Jesus, she’s a pretty little thing, isn’t she? Look at her eyes. I’ve never seen a shade of blue like that. It’s almost violet.”
She looked from one man to the other and then over her shoulder. One of the men reached out and placed his hand on top of her head.
“What’s your name, sweetheart?” Koa asked softly.
“It’s ... T ... Mina. Please let me go.”
“Mina, my name is Koa, and this guy is Jon. We’re here to help you.”
That made her pause and turn her attention toward them. “How...?”
“Blake called us. He was very concerned for you.”
Her breath released in a sigh, and the tension in her shoulders eased a bit. Oh, thank God. Blake had been the friendly bartender. He’d tried to get her away from the man who had grabbed her.
“Can you help me find my dad?” she asked.
Koa wrapped an arm around her waist. “How about we go sit and get comfortable?”
“You won’t try to take my clothes off, will you?”
Jon snorted and then laughed. “As much as I’d like just that, I don’t want to scare you any more than you already are.”
Her shoulders relaxed a bit, and she quit frantically looking over her shoulder.
For some reason, they both settled her down and made her calm.
Even though one held onto her arm and steered her toward a corner with a sofa and a large chair, and the other’s hand sat low on her back, she didn’t feel threatened.
She tensed again as they pulled her down on the sofa with one man on her side, and the other pulled up and sat on the sofa table in front of her, bracketing her legs with his.
The one called Jon sat in front of her and laid a hand on her knee.
She could feel the heat of his hand through the thin fabric of her skirt.
“Why don’t you tell us why you’re here?”
Mina looked from one to the other, bit down on her bottom lip, and fisted her hands in her lap. “I’m looking for my dad...”
“Start from the very beginning, pet. How did you come to be here?” Koa asked.
“I received a note and a ticket and was told to come here. I guess it’s a special thing because Stacy at the desk called it a golden ticket.”
Jon’s eyebrows rose.
A frown puckered between Koa’s brows. “All right, go on.”
“It was from my father.”
Jon glanced at Koa. “Like your real father?”
“Well, yes. He’s not my stepfather.”
Koa grunted and controlled the smile that pulled at his lips. “Your father asked you to meet him here? The TSC?”
She looked at Koa, confused.
“TSC stands for The Sanctuary Club.”
She nodded. “Yes, he even gave me directions.”
The guys shared another look.
“Why did you have to meet him?” Jon asked.
“I haven’t seen him in over five years.”
Koa frowned. “Why?”
She froze. She could feel a blush overtake her face. “We lost my mom a while ago. My dad was very heartbroken. He loved her very much. I look like her, and he says it’s hard to be around me because of that.”
Jon smiled. “She must have been very beautiful.”
“She was. Besides the hair and eyes, I don’t think we look a lot alike. I think it’s an excuse for my father to stay away from me.”
“Why do you say that?” Koa asked.
“Because I’m not beautiful like her. Not at all.”
“We think you’re gorgeous,” Jon said and squeezed her knee.
Mina shook her head and tried to pull her hand from Koa’s grip. “Don’t.”
“Don’t what, pet?” Koa curved an arm around her.
“You don’t have to say things like that. I just want to find my dad.”
“We’ll deal with that shit later,” Koa replied. “He’s not here.”
“You don’t know that,” she cried out softly.
Jon gripped her fists and leaned forward, invading her personal space.
“Yes, baby, we do know. After Blake told us your story, we had Stacy look through the log of everyone who’s been here in the last month for your father’s name.
No one fits the description you gave him, either.
And I would say the majority of people here are regulars, and Koa and I know all of them. ”
She blinked back her tears and sniffed. “But why would he do that?” she asked.
“I don’t know. Would someone else have done this?” Jon asked.
She tore her eyes from theirs and scanned the area, and her thoughts rambled through her head too fast for her to think. She shook her head. “I don’t think so. Why would...”
She knew both Jon and Koa had heard her pained gasp and had followed her gaze, seeing two women staring at them and laughing. When they caught the guys looking at them, they turned and rushed off.
Mina’s head dropped.
Jon cupped her jaw and raised her head. “You know those women?”
She swallowed the emotion that wanted to overwhelm her at that moment. “I-I work with them.”
“I’ve seen them here before,” Jon growled. “Teresa and Karina.”
Koa snorted. “Yeah, they have tried to get our attention on numerous occasions.”
She wiped her tears of mortification from her face and started to pull away from them. “I’m very sorry I disrupted things. If you let me up, I’d like to leave.”
“Not until you tell us why they would do this?”
She shrugged as she tried to hold herself together until she got home.
What a cruel thing for them to do. They knew how much she missed her dad and how long it had been since she’d seen him.
They’d always been mean, but this went way too far, and she didn’t know how she should handle them at the store where they worked together.
She wanted to scream at them but knew it would just amuse them more.
“Listen, I really need to...”
Jon tightened his grip. “You need to settle back, baby. You’re not leaving until we get our answers.”
“I don’t know.” She burst out and then leaned back against the sofa cushion and looked down at her lap. “I don’t know,” she said softly.
Koa covered her hands with one of his and gently squeezed. “Where do you work?”
She shook her head.
“You should answer him right now, pet,” Jon growled as he pressed his legs together to entrap hers further. “You could be put over one of our laps.”
She gasped as her head flew up. “Did you just say ... did you mean you’d spank me? You can’t do that. For God’s sake, I’m an adult, and I don’t know you.” She became even more determined to leave. “I think I should just leave.”
“Do you really want to run from us before we get to know each other? Give us a chance,” Jon murmured.
“I’m sorry, what? I don’t understand.”
Koa laid a hand on her arm and gently rubbed his thumb back and forth, trying to soothe her. “We’re attracted to you, pet, and we think you’re attracted to us also.”
She stared at him.
“Tell me if I’m wrong?” he asked.
How could she not be attracted to them? They were the most handsome men she’d ever seen in her life. She shook her head. “No, you’re not wrong.”
“Good,” he said in relief. “We really want to get to know you.”
She looked back and forth between the two. Both were handsome and muscular. Both of them had dark hair, but Koa was darker, both in hair and skin tone. He had coffee-colored brown eyes, while the one called Jon had forest green eyes.
Koa chuckled. “Look at her wide-eyed innocence, Jon. I suspect she probably had a blush across her face since she came in through the door. She’s also trying really hard not to look around the room to see what’s going on.
Jesus, her nipples tightened further when you mentioned a spanking. I think our little sub likes the idea.”
She gasped, shook her head, and placed her hands over her breasts.
“Hands down,” Jon demanded as he pulled her hands away from her chest. “Don’t ever hide from us.”
“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked in shock. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been touched, and these two men had their hands on her since they met several minutes ago. One of their hands was slowly caressing one of her thighs while the other man gently cupped her breast.
“We’re touching you, and you can’t tell us you don’t like it because we can tell you do,” Jon said. “Don’t be afraid, baby. Everything is going to be okay.”
Jon glanced at his partner before he went on.
“We need to tell you right now, there are two things you can say. You can say ‘yellow’ if you’re getting overwhelmed.
We’ll stop and talk about it. Or you can say ‘red’ if you want us to stop everything, and we’ll make sure you get home, but that would be the end.
The last thing we want is for you to be afraid or feel pain, but we also need a woman who’s willing to put herself in our hands.
We know this is all of a sudden, and we know you didn’t come here looking for a relationship, but both Koa and I know what we want.
We’ll gain your trust as we go along. Just know we would never hurt you. Do you understand?”
She exhaled and her chest tightened at the thought of never seeing them again, which was ridiculous.
She didn’t belong there. The place and the men were so far out of her comprehension, she almost felt like she was dreaming.
She felt their hands on her, and it was a feeling she had craved for so long she didn’t want it ever to end. But she didn’t belong here.
Something in her stomach tightened painfully when she suddenly realized she didn’t belong anywhere.
Koa held onto her hand for a moment. “Nothing is going to happen tonight. But can you give us a bit of information to get to know you and vice versa?”
She didn’t understand why she felt she had to follow their commands, or why they made her feel things she’d only read about, but it just felt right. She nodded and reluctantly set her hands into her lap. “Yes, I ... think so.”
Jon nodded his approval. “Now explain and tell us why these women would do this.”
Her eyes slid away from them. “Well, I think it—”
Jon held up a hand. “Before you continue, you might be interested in knowing we punish little subs that lie, and we’ll definitely know if you’re lying to us.”
She snapped her mouth closed and looked down at her lap.
“Do you like the idea of a spanking, baby?” Koa asked and grinned.
She continued to stare down at her hands in her lap. “I don’t know. I’ve never been spanked.”
Koa reached over and gently rubbed the back of his hand over one of her nipples. They both chuckled when she gasped and jerked.
“Your body is telling us you would like to find out.”
Mina’s hand came up and caught Koa’s and tried to pull it away from her breasts.
“Don’t. Put your hands in your lap and keep them there no matter what,” Koa growled. A smile curved his lips when she immediately dropped her hands.
“You’re a good little sub, aren’t you?”
Mina’s eyes flew to Jon and then back to her lap.
“No, I’m sorry. I’m not a sub. I don’t even know what that means.
I was just here to...” Her words stuttered to a stop, and her eyes widened, and she gasped when the fingers that had been caressing her nipple took it between two of his fingers and pinched. Lightly at first.
He watched her carefully as he upped the tension. He wanted to see her pain limit. He was surprised and pleased when it was higher than he would have guessed. He let up the pressure when she gasped, and her hands flew to his.
“Hands in your lap. We don’t want to tell you again,” Jon said in full Dom mode.
Her hands dropped immediately.
Jon leaned forward and cupped her chin to raise her head. He needed to see her pretty eyes when he talked to her.
“A sub is a man or woman who gets pleasure from helping others.” He smiled at her dawning awareness. “You enjoy making people happy, right?” He waited for her nod. “Do you like when someone else is in charge?”
Her eyes moved to see Koa as he continued to play with her nipple.
“Eyes on me, sweetheart,” Jon murmured.
Her eyes flew back to his. He smiled.
“I think she likes her breasts touched,” Koa murmured huskily.
Jon watched as she tried valiantly to stem the tears in her eyes. Embarrassment vied with curiosity, confusion, and lastly passion.
“Jesus, you are so fucking beautiful,” Jon whispered.
“No...”
Jon nodded his head. “Yes, and we don’t like hearing our sub talk bad about herself.”
“Stop saying that. I’m not your sub.”
“The way Koa looks and the way I feel, you’re going to be.”
“What? You can’t just...”
“We can, and we will, precious,” Koa inserted. “I guarantee we’ll take good care of you, and you will love every minute of it.”
She tried to move or turn her head toward Koa when he spoke, only to have Jon firm his grip on her face. Something sparked in her eyes as they flew back to Jon.
Jon looked surprised and pleased. “She’s got some spunk in her. She’s going to be fun.”
Koa leaned and placed a kiss on her shoulder. His fingers never left her breast. “I think she’s exactly what we’ve been looking for.”
“I agree.”
“What about what I want?” Mina asked, unable to hide the tremor in her voice. “You can’t keep me here against my will.”
