Chapter 32
Chapter Thirty-Two
I walk back around to the front of the house; the car pulls up beside me. Tobias gets out of the car with the baby nestled in his arms, still fast asleep. Theo then grabs some things from the boot.
“Why didn’t you go inside?” asks Tobias, coming over to me. He passes me my son and I hold him close to my chest.
“It feels strange being back here,” I answer him truthfully. I feel him nod before kissing my cheek.
“We stopped on the way here, but we couldn’t get much with nothing being open.
But Theo gets some formula and nappies. It will have to do till morning and then we can go get a car seat and some other stuff for him,” he says, pulling me into him.
I breathe in his scent, finding comfort in him.
Theo comes around the car with some bags clutched in his hand.
“Come on, let’s go inside,” Theo says, pecking me on the lips as he strides past. I follow them inside. Walking in, I’m hit with a sense of Déjà vu. I haven’t been in here for months, but it still feels like home. The place was a mess, though.
Everything is covered in dust and smells like it has had no windows opened for a while.
Theo strolls into the kitchen. He flicks the kettle on and places the bags on the counter.
I walked in behind him, and he is reading the back of a formula tin like he is about to mix some complicated science experiment.
It doesn’t take him long before he place a few scoops inside the bottle and adds water to it before shaking it.
He heats the bottle using a bowl and water from the kettle.
Tobias makes us all coffee, and I sit on the stool watching them.
Everything feels different, not in a bad way, just different.
I never pictured them being father’s or myself a mother.
Yet watching them now, I can see the excitement they are trying to hide.
I stare down at our baby, his hypnotic green eyes now open and staring back at me, his lips making kissing lips as he sucks them together.
Tobias sits a steaming mug of coffee in front of me before grabbing a bag of nappies and opening it.
He pulls one out, examining it and turning it around like he is trying to figure out how it works.
I sometimes forget they aren’t from this time period or that they haven’t had to deal with babies before.
Holding my hand out for it, he hands it to me.
I lay my son down on the bench still wrapped in my shirt, his little arms and legs stretching out as he yawns.
Tobias watches as I put the nappy on him.
When I’m done, I almost laugh when I realize Theo, too, has stopped and was watching intently, forgetting what it is he’s doing.
“Seems easy enough,” Tobias says with a nod. He sucks his fingers making frustrated noises. Theo hands me the bottle and I pick him back up. He drinks down the formula hungrily, gulping it down.
“What are we going to name him?” I ask, realizing we can’t just keep calling him baby. They both seem to think.
“I don’t know, what do you want to call him?” asks Tobias.
“I don’t know, what about Thaddeus” I suggest. They both seem to think for a second before nodding.
“Yes, Thaddeus has a ring to it,” Theo said. Tobias nods in agreement.
“Have either of you called your mother to let her know?” They both shake their heads and Tobias growls. It’s clear he still isn’t happy with his mother and I running off but staring down at Thaddeus it is all worth it, every miserable second of it.
“I will call her tomorrow; she is with dad and I don’t think it would be a good idea ringing right now. He isn’t in a good mindset at the moment,” Theo answers.
When he finishes drinking down his bottle, Theo holds his arms out and I gently placed him in them, Theo rubs his back softly placing him over his shoulder and kissing the side of his tiny head.
Tobias moves behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, his warmth making me yawn. I’m exhausted mentally and physically.
“Why don’t we get some sleep, you may be a vampire but you're still half witch,” Tobias says, kissing my neck. I lean back into him, his lips on my skin making me moan softly.
“Or we could not sleep,” he said, thrusting his hips into me. His erection presses into my back, making me realize just how much I have missed being with them.
“I can’t, what if she comes back,” I say, my eyes darting to Thaddeus in panic.
“Get some sleep, I’ll watch him, Imogen. I won’t let anyone take our son,” Theo says, watching me.
“We already called the council on the way here. They’ve sent people out looking for her.
We can deal with it tomorrow, for now let’s get some sleep,” Tobias whispers into my neck.
I reluctantly follow him upstairs. Theo follows too with Thaddeus in his arms. I strip my clothes off, heading for the shower.
Turning the taps on and standing under the steady stream, the blood staining my skin washes down the drain.
Tobias steps into the shower and I glance back in panic, worried.
“He is fine, I promise. Theo won’t let any harm come to him,” Tobias says, grabbing the loofah and soap.
I lean against him, resting my face into the crook of his neck.
The steam is heating up the room. Tobias washes me, never letting his fingers linger too long as he rubs the loofa over body.
His scent fills up the room as I feel my gums tingle.
“Will it always be like this?” I ask him.
“What do you mean?” He kisses my head.
“The hunger, will it go away?” He grips my chin, forcing my eyes to meet his.
“You might have to ask Theo that; he would know more, but it will get easier, I promise”
I nod before his fingers are on the back of my neck. He pulls me against him, kissing me desperately. His tongue playing with mine as a new sensation rolls over me. Lust.
I grip onto him, moaning into his mouth.
He chuckles slightly before gripping my hips and lifting me against the wall.
I feel his erection below me before he slowly buries himself inside me.
He stops briefly, letting me adjust to his size.
I push my hips against him wanting him to move; he didn’t need to be told twice as he slams into me, making him groan loudly as he sucks and nips at my skin.
My nails dig in his back as I felt my stomach tighten, my arousal building to an insurmountable level.
His lips go to mine as his tongue plunges into my mouth.
I moan loudly, loving the feel of him so deep inside me.
When I’m sitting on the edge of my orgasm, Tobias shifts slightly offering me his neck, I don’t hesitate as I sink my fangs into him.
I felt him moan loudly at the feeling of me feeding off him, before my walls clenched around him, my orgasm rushing through me, my pussy pulsating as I ride out the high.
My fangs leave Tobias as I feel him still inside me.
Having reached his own. He kisses me and my arms tightened around his neck.
His hands squeeze my ass before he lifts me slightly, letting himself slip out of me.
“God, I missed you,” he mumbles against my lips. My head snaps to look at the door when I hear Theo clear his throat. The baby is no longer in his arms. I look at him panicked before he shakes his head.
“He is asleep, I can see him from here. I promise, Imogen, he is safe here.” I nod, not really believing he is safe until I know she is dead. Tobias hops out of the shower, wrapping a towel around himself. He kisses Theo’s shoulder on his way past coming back into the bedroom.
Theo leans against the door watching me. I raise an eyebrow at him.
“Well, are you going to get in?”
His face lights up and a smirk forms on his lips. I open the shower door, and he pulls his shirt off over his head. I am slammed against the shower wall with a thud. My legs wrap around his waist as he crushes his lips against mine. The soft cries of the baby coming to my ears make me freeze.
“He is fine, Imogen, I have him,” Tobias sings out, obviously feeling my hesitation through the bond. I relax and feel Theo nipping at my skin, his teeth grazing my flesh, his erection pressing against my clit. Making me moan into his mouth.
