Epilogue

EPILOGUE

I cast my eyes to the window and watch as Callum pushes Gray on the swing, piercing blue eyes alight with glee, ink black hair dancing with the breeze as he squeals with excitement.

He is eighteen months, I never thought I wanted another baby after Callum, but that was before him. Before the one who turned my world upside down but in the best way possible.

The one who was always going to be forbidden, but yet, I couldn't stay away and neither could he.

My shoulders lift and fall with relief, my eyes soften, fingers curling around the edge of the worktop.

I made peace with the way my life was going until he came into it like a wrecking ball.

"Is this everything you wanted, baby?" Ezra's arms wrap around my waist as he buries his face between my head and shoulder, before his lips press against my neck. I smile, a soft laugh escaping as I glance my eyes down to where his hand rests against my stomach, a gold platinum ring wrapped around his finger and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world.

"This is so much more," I finally lift my head and turn to look at him as his hand sweeps up my side, gripping my chin and lifting my lips to meet his.

"Good," he smirks before his tongue sinks past my lips, dancing with mine.

I finally got my happily ever after.

With my son's best friend.
