Chapter 43 Jax

Istepped outside in my worn out work boots and closed the door behind me. I walked to the gate as my boots imprinted the dirt with each step. I fought off my internal demons, my darkness wanted to consume me, my demons sensing the hunt like serpents.

“Who the fuck are you?” Vadon spat as he shouted. I could smell the alcohol seeping from his pores. How did he drive here? I have no idea.

“You need to leave, and now.” I sternly pointed to his pretty little white Cadillac.

“I won’t be doing shit!” Vadon spat on the ground next to me. I tried to keep my composure. My jaw ticked, irritation building like a gas leak. “Tell that whore to get out here,” Vadon shouted, swaying back and forth intoxicated.

“I won’t be doing that, Vadon,” I sucked my teeth, looking calmly at this joke of a man.

“Oh, no?” Vadon asked, smirking and inebriated. “How do you know my name, and who the fuck are you?”

I took an aggressive step toward him. “I know plenty about you.” I cocked my head.

He laughed. “You don’t know shit!” He started taking a step back as I towered over him. His fear excited my demons.

“I’ll tell you what I do know. I know that you’re a spoon-fed bitch boy, who feels like a man when he throws women around.

I know you’re the piece of shit who abandoned his child for months.

” I took another step forward as hate spewed out of every word like a dagger.

“I also know you’re the city boy who couldn’t make my girl come. ”

Vadon’s eyes were bloodshot. “What the fuck did you just say?”

Did I touch a soft spot? I was pleased. “You heard me, piece of shit! Leave, and don’t ever bother my family again!” I said, squeezing my knuckles to keep my demons from ravishing his soul before me. I turned to leave, feeling the darkness slither inside me, waiting to be beckoned.

“So, you’re fucking my wife are you? She’s always been a slut. Doesn’t surprise me she’s spread her legs for a lowlife cowboy like you.”

I swiftly shifted toward Vadon before he could even blink.

I grabbed him by his collared fuckboy shirt, finally coming face to face with the coward who tried to break my little light.

“Go back to the city so you can suck your daddy’s dick.

” I spat, throwing him into the desert sand like the filth he is.

I shook off the evil coursing through my veins as it seeped thickly into my pumping blood.

Murder tasted sweet on my tongue, and my hunger was becoming relentless.

I attempted to walk back into the house and was fuming as my secrets wanted to make their mark, seething with rampage.

Vadon had the drunk-mortal audacity to try and charge at me.

I moved swiftly and he nearly knocked himself out.

It was too easy and he was too drunk. It wouldn’t have been a fair fight.

He laid there, dazed. I put my boot on his throat, choking him until his face turned blue.

Taking my .44 caliber out from my waist, I cocked it, shoving it into Vadon’s mouth.

His eyes bulged from his face. I heard screams from inside the house, and I looked down at him in pure disgust.

“Faye is mine, always was. If you ever call her anything derogatory again or if you ever lay a fucking finger on my girl, I will fucking end you, do you understand?” My eyes were visibly wicked, black as night.

Vadon gazed at me in complete terror as he struggled for air.

A wicked smile spread across my face. “By the way, thanks for keeping my spot warm, buddy.” I shoved the barrel into his throat and he choked on it.

It was music to my ears as Vadon’s face turned red and blue.

“This is exactly how Faye looks while she’s sucking my cock.

Funny isn’t it?” Vadon struggled to breathe.

“The only bitch I see on their knees is you, city boy. I think I’ll go back inside now and finish my dinner with your wife.

I’ll make sure to tell Birdie you said hello.

” I sucked my teeth, tipping my hat at him as I lifted my heavy boot from his throat, spitting on him like the scum he was.

I took my barrel out from his mouth as he choked on his spit, desperate for any kind of air.

Pop and the guys walked out, helping lift Vadon up.

“It’s best you get out of here, boy. You’re in a den full of wolves.” Bjorn cocked his shotgun, and the Grimwood boys circled him, letting him know he was a target.

Vadon stumbled to his vehicle, defeated. “Is this what you left me for? A wannabe cowboy?” Vadon yelled from his vehicle. This motherfucker really had a death wish, and I’d be the one to gladly give it to him.

Faye stepped outside with Rocky before I could intervene. If only looks could kill. Rocky looked like she wanted to peck out his eyes.

“No, Vadon, I left you for me!” Faye shouted from the porch.

Vadon stared at all of us on the porch, with venomous anger. “I gave you everything, things this man never could!” he shouted from his vehicle as I laughed, amused.

“You never gave me safety and you never gave me peace!” Faye struck Vadon with her words, rendering him speechless, as he slammed his door and drove off in a drunken scurry.
