8. Chapter Eight #2

With a singular circle to her clit, I murmured into her mouth.

“A blessing to fill this naughty cunt of yours. To ensure it needs nothing else and satisfy your never-ending hunger. In hopes this blessing may keep such lecherous thoughts at bay and allow you to be one with the goddess this Wintersdark.”

My blessing took like ink to flesh. My magic spread across her sensitive skin and filled in her veins.

Little snowflakes sparkled against her skin as I sank my blessing into her much like how I sank my fingers into her eager opening.

So warm, and wet, and hungry for me. Trouble.

Melrose St. Augustine, you are trouble. I didn’t want her seeking out pleasure from others.

I had no right to do it, and yet not even the reason at the back of my mind could sway me.

I filled her with my blessing before slipping my fingers from her.

Her cheeks toasted into a deep crimson as my magic spread her as wide as her cunt would allow.

Then with a twirl of my fingers, my troublemaker bucked in my lap as magic fucked that delicious cunt.

“Keida,” she gasped.

“That blessing will last you a while,” I murmured, twirling my fingers again to force it to fuck her faster. It was long and firm, much like a icicle, pressing into that sweet spot where I’d found it earlier Her thighs trembled. “May this keep you out of trouble.”

“Oooooh,” she laughed sheepishly, trying and failing to look smug as her body gave in.

Her eyes rolled back in her head and mouth dropped open.

I grabbed her by the chin, pulling that mouth to mine.

Madness. You are…Trouble. I swallowed more of her moans.

My lips retreated, lingering but not closing in. She chased my kiss hungrily.

“I suspect you’ll be a very naughty girl tomorrow too, won’t you?” My voice came out rough, cracked in the middle.

“The worst,” she panted.

“I look forward to blessing you then,” I growled. My teeth bit down on her lower lip, fingers finding those precious nipples. Melrose bucked again, being helplessly fucked into oblivion. And as she found her release, she slapped a hand over her mouth to muffle her shriek.

Goddess what have I done.

I should have felt shame for what I did. I should have felt condemnation for casting such wicked magic on her. I should have regretted it. But I could do nothing but revel in it as she sank with a satiated groan.

I can’t have you, Trouble, and this is cruel. I was being cruel to us both as I stroked her skin mindlessly and kissed her sloppily.

Thankfully for me, before I could damn myself more, there was a tell-tale sound of knuckles against the outside of the confessional. “The Hierophant Rex has returned.”

“Fuck,” Melrose hissed and I mentally screamed like a goat.

We rushed to stand. After a few fumbled fingers, I snapped back to my senses and enchanted the fabric.

With a fluid motion of my hands, our clothes floated through the air and crept up our bodies.

Despite the wobble in my thighs or the labored breathing coming from her, we managed to clean up and step out of the confessional booth mere seconds before Leonardo rounded the bend of the cathedral.

“There you both are!” He chuckled, throwing his free hand up in the air. A healer stayed on his hip as he walked with a cane. Melrose’s eyes widened and she rushed to meet her father. He dragged her into a tight hug. “Rosebud, it’s just a walking stick.”

“Are you alright?” She stepped back out of his embrace to study him. I lingered an arm’s length from the pair, hoping not to intrude on a family moment…again.

“I’m fine, but I think this is a good sign from Our Lady that I am long overdue for a sabbatical.”

“Sir?” I blurted out, blinking rapidly.

“I think I’ll go visit the pools down the mountain?

The queen has approved my leave, and the others of the Order are aware that you are standing in for the time being.

I think it’s time this old goat gets a day off, don’t you agree, Melrose?

You’ve only been begging me for one for the last four years. ”

Melrose chuckled weakly, swiping tears off her face. “Yes! But I would have preferred you’d take it during a more opportune time? And because you wanted to, not because you chipped a hoof.”

“Bah!” Leonardo huffed, flippantly waving a hand at his daughter. “Stop fussing over me and check in on our dinner, will you? I am set to leave in the morning, so I’ll need a heavy meal and a snack for the road if you don’t mind, Rosebud.”

Melrose rolled her eyes but grabbed her father by the arm. In a move that was so natural, it was like breathing, he leaned into her and eyes fluttered closed as she pressed a kiss to his temple. “I love you, Papa.”

“Love you to the moon and back, Rosebud.”

Melrose slipped away without another word, headed deep into the belly of the building to check the kitchens.

The cathedral was awarded a few cooks and two scullery maids to keep the clerics fed and the cathedral full of meals for anyone in need.

It did afford the Hierophant Rex a few luxuries, like being able to request road snacks and pastries whenever he wanted them.

Which was another reason the man’s robes were always full of food.

“Sir?” I murmured, peaking up at him as the healer left us. They bowed their head and dipped to a comfortable distance. A ‘I’m not allowed to hear this conversation’ sized distance. “Is everything alright?”

He exhaled heavily, his gaze falling to the stone by my feet. “The goddess gave me a vision while I was being fussed over by the healers. An abandoned temple beyond the castle walls. A cold, barren place under the moonlight. She wishes for me to examine it.”

“Sir, I should—”

“This is for me and me alone, Keida,” he spoke softly, but the tone was clear.

I was not to counter him. I bowed my head.

With a soft pat to my shoulder, I lifted my gaze to him once more.

“Our Lady also urged upon me to spend time with my wife’s grave, an activity I do not feel Melrose would want to partake in.

Which is why I lied about the pools. Melrose hates them, says they make her fur too sticky and the heat makes her dizzy.

I knew if I spoke of them, she would not press to come along.

This means your duties will not only be to the church in my absence, Keida. ”

“Sir?” I scoffed, hands folded into the small of my back.

“As a personal request from me, I would like you to keep an eye on Melrose. Keep her close.”

Oh no. I swallowed the lump in my throat. “She’ll never leave my sight, sir.”

“Good…” he trailed off, finally looking at me and it forced me back a step. Oh shit, does he know? He continued, “There are those who would see my absence from this place as a chance to usurp me.”

“Sir,” I blurted out, heart racing. “I would never.”

Leonardo chuckled, shaking his head, “I do not mean you, Keida. My apologies for poor tone. I mean, there are those who use Our Lady’s loving nature as a guise. It makes their hunger for power seem noble in a sense. Like they’re doing the kingdom a service by showing the world who we truly are.”

I eyed him, dumbfounded. Who we truly are? What is he implying? And how does that impact Melrose? I spoke softly, “What are you implying, sir?”

“That I trust you have Melrose’s best interest at heart,” he chuckled softly, putting a hand to my shoulder. It was the first time he flat-out lied to me. I could read through it from a mile away. He worried, but of what I couldn’t say. Instead, I bowed my head again.

“I guarantee, Melrose will be here, bemoaning my iron fist and awaiting you patiently upon your return.”

Leonardo grinned widely, clicking his cane against the stone floor. “That’s what I like to hear. Now, let us feast!”

Who worries you, sir? Goddess, I prayed, watch over him.
