Epilogue

Skull

After making Isla come a few more times, I get dressed and slide on my cut, turning into the enforcer that I am for this club. I leave her in bed with Angel guarding the door and meet with Bones outside the shed, where we have Daisy tied up.

“You fucker!” she screams when she sees us. “Let me go! You shouldn’t have had that bitch playing mother for my fucking kid. She got what she deserved.”

“Your kid? The one that you don’t want?” I fire back, clenching my teeth.

“I’m not ready to be a mother yet, but one day I will be. And no fucking other woman is going to be taking my place,” she cries, makeup all over her face.

“You hearing this bitch?” Bones growls, his jaw tense.

“Blade did some research on you,” I mutter, glancing behind me to see Ghost step into the room. “You ran to another MC, didn’t you? What did you tell them?”

She smirks, her blue eyes turning colder. “They’ll come looking for me. Their president made me his old lady. They have better taste than all of you.”

“Insanity MC?” Bones guesses, sharing a look with me. “They’re back together? Or is it another MC that’s desperate enough to take you in?”

She laughs. “You’ll find out soon, don’t you worry. And don’t even think about bringing any more women around my child.”

I lean forward and look into her eyes. “Our daughter will never know about you. I’m deleting all traces. She will think that my woman is her mother. She won’t know any different. Meanwhile, you’ll be rotting in the ground somewhere. Fuck you, Daisy. I’ll see you in hell.”

We turn around and walk out of the shed, while Ghost steps up to her. Bones rests his arm on my shoulder. We don’t like hurting women, but sometimes there’s no other option.

Her screams stop by the time we make it back to the clubhouse.

“All good, brother?” Angel asks, and I nod, telling him he can go back to bed now.

When I step back into my bedroom, Isla has Natalia in her arms, smiling down at her. “You are such a beautiful girl, you know that? I’m going to love you so much. You’ll never know what it’s like to grow up without the love of a mother.”

Layla is sitting in the corner of the room, watching over the two of them.

I have no regrets.

My daughter will have a wonderful-fucking-life.

Just like her mother.

Ghost

After calling for cleanup with Daisy’s dead body, I head back to my room in the clubhouse and get in the shower, washing myself clean.

I had my own issues with Daisy, and I don’t give a fuck that she’s gone.

Everyone is better off without her. I don’t want Xanthe to have to look at her ever again, especially with how upset she got after she knew Daisy gave me that blow job back when Haze needed me to do him a favor.

That reminds me, he still owes me a marker for that.

Sliding beneath the sheets naked, I pull my woman against me.

My woman.

It was such a long time coming. I fought my attraction to her, and for a while there, I was content to stalk and protect her from afar.

But once I let her in, she was in.

As the hitman for the Serpents of Chaos MC, I’m not afraid of anything. I’ve taken countless lives, and I’ve looked the Grim Reaper in the face and laughed.

But that was before I had something to lose.

Breathing in the coconut smell of her hair, I close my eyes and hope that one day karma doesn’t come for me.

I may be fucked up, and my hands might be dripping in blood, but the woman next to me?

She’s all things good.

She’s sweet and kind.

She doesn’t even like killing bugs.

It’s easy to see why I tried to stay away, but it’s even easier to see why I couldn’t.
