24. In The Deep Of Night

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

IN THE DEEP OF NIGHT

COLSEN

“I’ll go shower in Mack’s bathroom. I don’t want to wake Taryn.” I tell my two best friends.

“Where is Mack, by the way?” Nash asks.

Tucker’s smile gives me a hint even before he explains. “Hookup. Don’t even ask me which cheerleader’s room he was sneaking into.”

“He’s having a hot boy summer.” I chuckle. “I wouldn’t judge him anyway, but after dating Gen for years, I don’t blame him for going a little wild.”

Nash shakes his head. “Do you know what I don’t get?

Mack can be a bit of a diva when you don’t know him.

But under all that cocky chirping, he’s a great guy.

Our opponents hate him because he’s one of the greatest wingers in the entire NCAA and he gets under their skin with his constant chirping.

But I would never want anyone else by my side.

He has our backs. I trust him on and off the ice.

What did someone awesome like him see in Gen? ”

“Their families socialized all the time.” Tucker explains. “They grew up together. Dating must have felt natural.”

Nash doesn’t look convinced. “Yeah, as natural as dating a Venus flytrap. Gen isn’t ugly, but she makes a poisonous snake look cuddly.”

I don’t disagree. “I’m glad Mack wised up, eventually. His bathroom comes in handy right now, though. I don’t want to leave Taryn alone for too long.”

“Yeah, I hear you.” Tucker claps my shoulder. “Do you mind if I bring Baety’s bed into your room? I would like to sleep with our girl too tonight.”

“Sure. Nash was joining too, though, right? I know it’s a big bed, but it might not be big enough for all of us.” I muse.

To my surprise, Nash offers to sleep on the floor. “I don’t care if I’m on the bed. I just want to be in the room. If I think that we could have lost her tonight.” He shudders, and I know the feeling.

“Thank fuck we got there at the right time. And Taryn fought hard. But we need to do something to make sure she’s safe.”

“I agree.” Nash nods. “Do you guys think those messages are really from Gen?”

“To be honest, judging by what Taryn said, it makes the most sense.” Tucker muses.

I shake my head. “Yeah. I can see Gen blackmailing and taunting someone, but would she go as far as a physical attack?”

“There’s that saying about a woman scorned.” Tucker offers. “Jealousy is a powerful motivation. Gen feels threatened by Taryn’s dancing skills, and she thinks Mack is into her. I think she’s psychotic enough to snap.”

“I want to speak to Jodie,” Nash says. “See if she managed to sneak a look at Gen’s phone. If it’s her, so help me God, there’s going to be another murder.”

I understand where Nash is coming from, but I caution him. “Don’t do anything rash without discussing it with us first. We have to work together to keep our girl safe.”

Nash nods. “If you had told me a month ago that I would feel relieved that Taryn didn’t choose just one of us, I would have thought you’d had too many concussions.”

“Ha,” I chuckle. “It took kicking your ass to make you see that we weren’t rivals for Taryn’s heart. That her happiness is more important than our egos.” Tucker is really rubbing off on me, I swear.

“It’s true. And I know I was jaded after my ex-teammates sided with our coach to stay on his good side. But I didn’t know that falling for the same woman could also get me two best friends. Thank you for kicking my ass, dude. I needed it.”

Tucker’s loud yawn breaks the intensity of the moment. “You two can braid each other’s hair tomorrow. Go wash your sweaty asses. I’ll get Baety and I’ll see you in bed.”

He’s right. Taryn isn’t the only one who’s beat now that the adrenaline of our eventful night is wearing off. “Right. So, are you good speaking to Jodie? Or do you need me to come with you?” I ask Nash.

“Nah, I can handle it. If you can, you should keep an eye on Taryn. I didn’t want to scare her, but the least time she spends alone, the better until we figure out who’s stalking her.”

“Ok. Protecting her is going to be hard if we can’t be seen with her. I wish they hadn’t decided on that no fraternization rule.” I bite out.

Tucker stops on his way to his room. “Yeah, about that. I’m gonna speak to Coach tomorrow after practice.

I’ll explain the situation and see what he thinks we can do to keep Taryn safe and avoid getting her in trouble with Carole and Lexi.

Of course I won’t say anything about the murder in Hemlock Beach. ”

“Don’t you think Coach will rip you a new one?” Nash asks.

“I know Coach Harrison looks scary.” Tucker reassures him. “But believe me, he’s on our side. And as long as we perform on the ice and don’t do anything stupid, he’s gonna have our backs.”

I agree with Tucker. “It’s a good idea. I trust our coach, too. In the meantime, I’ll keep an eye on Taryn whenever she isn’t rehearsing. I’ll do it from a distance if I have to.”

“Like a stalker?” Tucker chuckles.

It’s funny, but I don’t want to give him the satisfaction, so I flip him off before turning on my heels and heading to Mack’s room.

TUCKER

The comforter moves, uncovering my feet. That’s what wakes me up.

When I blink a couple of times to shake off the last remnants of sleep, I realize that outside is still dark.

“Mmm.” Taryn’s soft moan echoes in the room as she squirms between me and Colsen.

Once my eyes adjust to the semi-obscurity of the bedroom, I notice a huge bulge in the middle of the bed. That’s what moved the comforter enough to uncover my feet.

Taryn moans again, still asleep, and I sit up, alarmed.

But it doesn’t take long to see the cause of those soft sounds.

Nash has abandoned his spot on the food at the foot of the bed and has climbed between Taryn’s legs.

Judging by his position, I think I know exactly what he’s doing.

“Dude.” I lift the comforter and roll my eyes at the sight of Nash’s shoulders wedged between our girl’s thighs.

He’s eating Taryn out and I must admit I’m a little mad that I didn’t think about it before he did.

“What are you doing?” I know it’s an obvious question, but I’m seriously bummed that he got this excellent idea first.

Nash lifts his face from Taryn’s sweet pussy. “What does it look like I’m doing? I woke up, and I was starving for my girl.”

“Nash?” Taryn shifts from her spot, her back arched as her eyes flutter open. “Why did you stop?”

He chuckles. “Sorry, Trouble. I didn’t mean to wake you just yet. I was just answering Tuck’s dumb questions.”

“Hey!” I protest.

The sweetest little smile tugs on Taryn’s lips. “Normally I would be mad for being woken up, but this feels so good.”

My competitiveness rears its head. “I can make you feel good too. Can I join?”

She nods, her smile widening.

I lean down to kiss her, but Taryn covers her mouth with the back of her forearm. “Maybe I should go brush my teeth.”

“I couldn’t care less, baby.” I take her bottom lip between my teeth and she surrounds my neck with her arms.

Like most men, I always wake up hard. But this is next level. My cock throbs in my boxer briefs and I need more.

Another moan escapes Taryn’s lips as I lift Colsen’s t-shirt off her head and my hand closes over the perfect globe of one of her tits.

I massage the soft flesh, rubbing the pad of my thumb over the stiff peak of her nipple.

Her breath grows more labored with every passing second, and I know she’s close to bursting point by the way the muscles in her stomach tense up.

“Oh, God.” She gasps as I take her nipple into my mouth.

Taryn’s body shakes as her orgasm washes over her as I keep kissing all over her chest while Nash licks and sucks on her perfect pussy.

“Fuck, you taste so good.” He lifts his head, running his tongue over his swollen lips.

I lose my shit. “I want to taste her, too.” I scoot down and Nash doesn’t complain. He makes room for me.

“Tucker, babe,” Taryn squirms. “I’m so sensitive now. I don’t know if I can…”

“I want just a little taste. I’ll be gentle, I promise.”

Just as I said, I brush my lips over her pussy, avoiding her clit. My tongue finds a spot on the lower half of her slit and I take her silky skin into my mouth. I suck gently; she’s so wet and her sweet, slightly tangy flavor invades my tastebuds.

I keep the contact light, teasing, swapping sides when I worry it might be too much. I totally ignore her clit, focusing on the smooth skin of her lower lips.

My plan works, and the indirect pressure makes Taryn want more.

“That feels… oh.”

I keep working on her the same way, slow and relentless.

Nash has taken my place by her side, and he’s holding her in his arms, raining kisses down her neck and chest while I tease her into another orgasm.

This one is intense. I know by the way her moans stop, and she writhes between me and Nash.

When I sit up, my lower face is drenched in Taryn’s sweet pleasure.

I crawl up to kiss her, covering her body with mine.

“That was fucking hot,” Colsen says from Taryn’s side.

His voice is still heavy with sleep, but his gaze is focused on us.

“Good morning, Colsen.” Taryn whispers, and I shift, allowing her to get close enough to kiss him.

“Morning, pretty girl.” He murmurs against her mouth.

Things always heat up fast between Taryn and Colsen, and within seconds of kissing him, our girl ends up on top of my best friend.

I wouldn’t know if he pulled her up, or she climbed onto him, but she’s straddling his hips as their kiss deepens.

If anyone had ever told me that I would love the sight of the woman I love with someone else, I would have thought they were crazy.

But this is the thing: Colsen is my best friend in the whole world, and Nash has become someone I trust and care about just as much. Sharing Taryn wouldn’t be possible with anyone else than these two men who I trust with my life.

“I love waking up to your sweet voice,” Colsen says, dragging his fingers down Taryn’s arms. “I’m just a little jealous that Tucker and Nash got their mouths on you.”
