Chapter 30

CHAPTER

THIRTY

FOR THE FIRST time, Elijah wished he didn’t have work. The past two weeks had gone surprisingly well for speeding up their dating situation. Elijah learned she preferred wings with blue cheese over fancy dinner dates, watching football over reality television, and her king bed over his queen.

Which was no complaint on his end because it meant she slept over more often than not.

Georgia was curled up in his bed, and all he wanted was to strip off his clothes and climb back in with her. Watching her sleep like some creep, he sat on the mattress. She rolled over to her side, and her eyes fluttered open.

“Good morning,” she greeted him with a scratchy voice.

He leaned over and kissed her forehead. “Good morning, Peach.”

“Why do you have clothes on?” She pouted, and he got it. Going to work was low on the priority list for him too, especially with her naked.

Elijah brushed some of her blond hair out of her face. “I have work today, but in forty-eight hours, I’m yours.”

When she sat up, the blanket fell off her body. Elijah bit his knuckles. Her body and her curves made his mouth water, made his dick hard. His hand reached out to touch her, but she swatted him away.

Georgia pointed at him. “You have to get to the station, so I need to get dressed.”

“Or…” Elijah stood and took a few steps back, so he wasn’t tempted to blow off work just so he could touch her. “You can stay here as long as you want and lock up when you leave.”

Her beautiful eyes widened with surprise. “Are you sure? What if I stay here all day, and sleep here at night?”

“I’m okay with that as long as you send me pictures throughout the day.”

She licked her lower lip. “You did say I could read the new James Patterson book.”

His heart raced at her being in his home all day, but it wasn’t panic. Nope. Elijah loved the idea of her here, invading his space, making her mark.

Georgia had him wrapped around her finger.

“Do not dog-ear the pages and make sure you don’t lose my spot in the book.” Elijah couldn’t control himself and went back to her as she lay in the bed. “I’ll be home in two days. Sunday morning, I expect to come home and find you naked in my bed.”

She tapped her chin as if she were contemplating her options. “That’s two days. I’ll need to go home at some point. Text me when you are about to leave the station, and I’ll come back.”

Now the idea of her staying in his bed all weekend waiting for him had manifested itself. He wanted her in his home.

“Did you have other plans?”

She laughed, rolling her eyes. “No, but that’s beside the point. Like you, I have laundry and upkeep at my place. I can’t be naked in your bed all weekend.”

“What if I give you my spare key? Then you can do whatever you need to do, but you sleep here on Saturday night, so I come home to you in my bed?”

Georgia looped her arms around his neck. “You realize you just offered to give me a key to your house?”

“Yes.” He kissed her throat. “Because I’m compromising. Isn’t this a part of being in a relationship?”

His phone rang, making them pull apart. Probably for the best because when he stood and saw the clock, it was seven-fifteen in the morning, and he had to be at the station in fifteen minutes. When he pulled his phone out of his back pocket, it was Nash calling.

“What’s up?” Elijah answered the call.

“Any chance you won’t strangle me if I’m a little late?” his friend asked, and he heard the whisper of a woman in the background.

Elijah wanted to be a dick, but he did have Nash’s little sister naked in bed.

“How late is a little late?”

“Fifteen minutes, twenty tops.”

That wasn’t too bad. “Fine, anything after eight, you are cleaning all the trucks.”

Nash promised, and then they hung up.

“Was that my brother?” Georgia asked, swinging her legs off the side of the bed. “At some point, we’re going to need to tell him we’re dating.”

True, but Elijah figured they had time. Dating wasn’t marriage. It could wait.

“We will, but I have to run so we can talk about it later,” Elijah gave her a quick kiss. “I’ll put the extra key on the table.”

Sure, he didn’t feel like going to work, but knowing Georgia was going to be in his bed when his shift was over made him smile.

“HE WENT FROM take it slow to giving you a key?” Sophie sat on the couch at Georgia’s house, skeptical about the change in Elijah, but Georgia wasn’t.

She sat next to her best friend. “Yes, and we’re going to talk about how to tell Nash.”

Sophie made a face as if she had bitten into a lemon. “Like he has any right to be mad. The fact his dick hasn’t fallen off with all the sex he has is a mystery to me.”

No matter how many times Sophie brought up Nash’s sex life, it always made her cringe.

“He’s still my brother.”

Sophie ignored the sentiment. “Fine, but this is about you and Elijah. And can we go back to the fact he gave you a key? Seriously, he used to fuck people who didn’t even live in Landmere, and now he’s basically moving you into his house. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this.”

“But as you said, this is about Elijah and me.”

“You’re right, and I will support you.” Sophie paused. “I just don’t want you to get hurt. Hearts are basically popping out of your eyes when you talk about him.”

Georgia tried to hide her smile. “Is that a bad thing?”

Her offhand comment made Sophie sit straight up. “Hold up. Do you love him?”

Fiddling with the throw blanket Georgia had resting over her legs, she didn’t make eye contact.

Love was a serious commitment, and this was her first experience with it.

Though without any doubt or hesitation, Georgia loved Elijah.

It wasn’t about how sexy he was or how he made her toes curl with orgasms. It was so much more.

She loved his sarcasm, how seriously he took every decision he made, how his smiles were earned, not freely given, and how they just clicked.

Elijah Barnett was a complex man, and she was in love with him.

“You love him.” Sophie was pushing for confirmation.

Georgia finally looked at her. “Yes, I love him. Before you tell me it’s too soon, I’ve known him for six months, and even if it was less time, it shouldn’t matter. Elijah is the one for me.”

“This is a lot of information.”

Giving her friend some time to digest, she went into the kitchen to grab them some water. When she came back into the living room, Sophie pointed at the couch for Georgia to sit.

“You realize if he is the one,” Sophie took a break to take a gulp of her drink, “you’ll never know what sex is like with someone else.”

“Why is that a bad thing if Elijah is a god in bed?”

Sophie nodded. “You’re right. I guess I’m a bit envious that your first is also your last, you know?”

Georgia watched her friend closely, noticing her hands were shaking. “Are you okay?”

“I’m actually really tired. This first month back to school is kicking my butt. Do you mind if I head home?”

“Sophie, what’s wrong?”

Her friend let out a long breath. “I don’t want to talk about it. Ever, actually. I’m sorry.”

Jumping over to her, Georgia gave Sophie a big hug. “I am here for you, no matter what.”

“It’s not something I want or should talk about,” she said, as if she were holding back tears. “I’m fine. Just hearing you found the one, and Elijah was your first and hopefully your last, just got me all up in my feels. I’ll call you tomorrow, promise.”

Georgia nodded, dropping her arms. Once she left, she wondered what the heck happened to upset Sophie.

SUNDAY FINALLY ARRIVED. Elijah took a quick shower at the station after his shift, and hauled ass back to his house, giving an Irish goodbye a whole new meaning.

He smiled, ear to ear, when he saw Georgia’s car parked in his driveway.

That little minx was there, and she didn’t send one single picture.

Elijah unlocked his door, kicking it shut behind him, and glanced around. His peach was nowhere to be seen.

Taking the steps two at a time, he burst into his bedroom and stopped as soon as he saw her. Georgia had the covers pulled up under her chin. She was on her side, and it appeared she was sleeping.

Fuck, was she naked?

He stripped out of his clothes and crawled into bed next to her. His arm slid around her, and hell yes, she wasn’t wearing anything. Elijah battled with himself for all of ten seconds before he decided to wake her up.

Slipping under the blanket, he moved between her thighs and heard her mumble. He smirked, loving how he was about to have her wake up to coming all over his face.

As quietly as he could manage, he spread her legs apart, and her breath hitched. Not wasting a second, his mouth covered her pussy, licking and sucking on her before moving to her clit.

“Elijah,” she moaned, her hips shaking.

His tongue flattened against her clit, giving her all the pressure she craved. Fuck, how did she always taste so good?

Georgia gasped. “Oh my god!”

He thrusted two fingers into her drenched core. “I got done a little early, so I wanted to surprise you.”

Her hands gripped his hair. “This feels, oh god, like the best, the best surprise.”

Elijah’s cock was so hard, it hurt. “Tell me when you are about to come so I can fuck you and feel you spasm around me.”

“I’m already close,” she whimpered.

Elijah didn’t need any more instructions. He climbed over her and lined his cock to her entrance. Quickly, he pushed into her and groaned.

“Peach, you are so fucking tight.” Elijah’s one hand gripped her thigh as he pounded into her, hard and deliberate.

Damn it, he was close already, and he’s only been inside her for a minute.

His other hand went to her clit, his palm covered her nerves, moving in a circle. “I need to feel you come, please baby.”

Recklessly, he fucked her as if his life depended on it.

Her hips ground against his, and his orgasm built, tingles creeping up his back.

He closed his eyes, tilting his head back, recalling all of the metrics for work, like assembly time and gallons per minute.

Anything to distract himself so he didn’t come.

Georgia’s pussy squeezed his cock, and he dropped his head to watch her. As she orgasmed, her mouth fell open, and she cried out his name.

That was it for him as he came inside her, his body going tight as he orgasmed.

Nothing was better than Georgia.
