Chapter 18
Chapter Eighteen
Walker wasn’t one to argue with a good thing.
And he definitely wasn’t one to argue when he had his arms full of a woman that he wanted more than anyone else in recent memory.
More than anyone else. He had been thinking about her all day, and he had been thinking that what he needed to do was try and set some boundaries, some expectations, but right now, he just didn’t want to.
Right now, what he wanted to do was this.
He growled, wrapped his arms more tightly around her waist, and pressed her back against the wall, consuming her.
She whimpered, hands moving over his bare chest as she kissed him deep, her tongue sliding against his.
Yesterday, there had been a little bit of uncertainty.
Yesterday, she had hesitated a few times before deciding to be bold.
Not now. There was no hesitation. He growled as he tore her dress away, aided by the fact that it buttoned down the front, and the buttons popped off, scattering all over the floor.
She drew back, eyes wide.
“Come on now,” he said, breathing hard, his heart pounding so fast he thought it was going to go through his chest. “Every woman ought to have a real dress-tearing experience, don’t you think?”
“Yes,” she said, her voice breathless. She flung her arms around his neck and kissed him again.
And he gathered her up against his body, arched his hips forward and let her feel just how hard he was for her.
Yesterday had been a game until it couldn’t be. Today there was nothing but this. Nothing but passion and need.
He cursed the fact that he had changed into his sweats, because he didn’t have his wallet, and therefore didn’t have a condom.
But he had finished resort work early, and that meant he had come back home to his office to get some work done at the computer, and he had decided to take a shower first, and there she was.
But that didn’t mean he couldn’t touch her.
He tore her bra away, too, along with her underwear, leaving her there in only a pair of white sneakers, which he thought was objectively hot. He couldn’t say why.
Pinned to the wall, he pressed his hands between her legs and found her wet and eager for him.
He made eye contact with her, stroking her slowly.
She shivered. “Walker...”
“What?”
“I want you. I need you.”
“You’ll have me. In a little bit.”
He pushed one finger inside of her, the silky glide of her body, of her desire, so hot it was unbearable.
Then he pushed a second finger in and she gasped, letting her head fall back.
“Walker...”
“What?” he asked, kissing a trail down her neck.
“I really, really need you.”
She pulled her hips back away from him, kissed his neck, down his chest, started to get down on her knees in front of him as she hooked her fingers into the waistband of his sweatpants and dragged them down.
And he was exposed, all his need for her, right there in front of her face, in front of her soft lips.
She leaned forward, the tip of her tongue gliding across the head of his arousal, and he grunted, pressing his palm against the wall as he arched his hips back, as she leaned in and took him deep into her mouth.
This was a whole other kind of fantasy altogether. Some kind of need and desire that he had never experienced before.
And most importantly, his cock was in Addison Carey’s mouth. And he thought he might die of how good it was.
He reached back and gripped her hair, tilted her head back just slightly. She stopped moving, blue eyes wide as she looked up at him, and he just stared at the image down there, so gorgeous, so erotic, so satisfying, that he could barely breathe.
He had wanted this, he had wanted her, for longer than he could possibly admit to himself.
And then she began to move again, and he lost himself, eyes closed, luxuriating in the feel of her mouth on him, but he never forgot who it was. Never forgot that it was Addison. Never forgot how much he wanted her. How much he needed her. And it was her.
Need burned at the center of his stomach, and he arched his hips forward and almost lost it then and there.
“Addison,” he said, pulling her face away from him as he stepped back. “I’m going to lose it.”
“That’s okay.”
“It’s not. Because you said you needed me. And I really, really need to be inside of you.”
He wrapped his arm around her waist and swept her up off the floor, wrapping her legs around his waist and kicking his sweatpants all the way off as he carried her up the stairs. To his room.
“I’m going to start keeping condoms everywhere, I promise. Condoms for days. Behind the potted plant, on the banister, in the shower. You’re not going to catch me unprepared again.”
It was kind of funny, but she didn’t laugh. Neither did he.
He reached over to the nightstand, grabbed hold of a packet, and sheathed himself as quickly as possible.
Then he moved to take her down onto the mattress, but she sidestepped him, pressed her palm against the center of his chest. He didn’t have to go down, but he chose to, lying back on the bed as she straddled him.
Both palms placed at the center of his chest.
“What are you—”
She leaned down and kissed him, wiggled her hips until his cock was at the slick entrance of her body.
Then she sank down onto him, and he made a sound like he was dying. Couldn’t have held it back if he’d known he was going to make it.
She began to move, tilting her hips. “Did you know,” she said, panting as she worked to establish a steady rhythm, “that I am a very accomplished rider?”
“I can tell,” he said through gritted teeth.
He reached up and cupped her breasts, held her while she flexed over him like that. Then he grabbed hold of her, brought her down, sucked one nipple deep into his mouth, and she made a raw sound of need.
He reversed their positions, taking her hard and fast. And her internal muscles clenched tightly around him as she froze, arching up off the bed, squeezing him tight as her release pulled him into his.
And when it was finished, all they could do was lie there, breathing hard.
“I need to talk to you about this,” he said.
“I’m done talking. I’m done planning. Right now I just... the list,” she said.
“What list?”
“The list. The list of what I need to do. What I need to experience. So that I can figure out who the hell I am.” She rolled over onto her side.
“I don’t know where the hell this goes, Walker, and the answer is probably nowhere good.
But I want it. Right now I want it, and I want you.
And I’m so tired of being ashamed of that.
Because I have wanted you. From the first moment that I ever laid eyes on you, I wanted you, before I really knew what it meant, I wanted you, and then I was ashamed all at the same time, and I just don’t want to feel that way anymore. I just want you. Really, really badly.”
This was a bad idea. It was a really, really bad idea. But Walker didn’t know if he had the strength to turn away from it. No. He knew for a fact that he didn’t. They were already in too deep. He was helping her with this campaign. She was living with him. He might as well accept it.
“As long as you’re under my roof,” he said, “you’re mine.”
She nodded her head.
He knew that this was going to take them to either heaven or hell.
And they wouldn’t know which until it was too late.
