Chapter 23 Emily #2
“This could work for the tables,” I say, holding up a wreath wrapped in gold ribbon. “And these lights could help create a cozy vibe.”
Axel grunts in agreement, tossing a box of fake pine branches to the side. “Not bad.”
Jace pulls out a box labeled Christmas Trees – Small and sets it down near my feet. “We could use these as placeholders for the centerpieces.”
I nod, jotting it all down in my notebook, feeling a little rush of excitement as everything starts coming together. “This is going to look great.”
But just as I’m about to grab another box, I hear a loud click.
I freeze, glancing up at Axel and Jace, who both stop what they’re doing. The sound came from the door.
“What was that?” I ask slowly, my heart sinking as the realization hits me.
Axel strides over to the door, twisting the handle and giving it a firm tug.
It doesn’t budge.
He tugs again, harder this time, but it still won’t open.
“Uh, guys?” Axel mutters, his voice laced with annoyance. “We’re locked in.”
Jace raises an eyebrow, leaning against one of the shelves. “You’re kidding.”
Axel gives the door one more tug before turning to us, shaking his head. “Nope. It’s stuck.”
I blink, feeling a wave of disbelief wash over me. “Wait, wait—how? We just came in here!”
“I’m guessing the lock’s faulty,” Axel says, frowning at the door like it personally offended him.
“Well, this is great,” Jace mutters, crossing his arms.
“Do you have your phone on you?” I ask.
“I do, but no signal,” Axel says. “Guess we’ll have to wait till someone finds us.”
“Great,” Jace mutters.
I sit down on one of the boxes. The only sound is the faint hum of the building’s heating system and the occasional rustling as one of us shifts uncomfortably. The air feels thick, not just from the lack of space but from something else—something unspoken.
I shuffle nervously on my box, trying to focus on anything but the weight of their stares. But every time I glance up, I catch one of them looking at me. And it’s not the kind of look that’s easy to ignore. It’s heavy. Intense. Like they’re both waiting for something to happen.
I swallow hard, my pulse quickening as the minutes drag on.
“Feels like we’ve been in here forever,” I mutter.
Axel shifts, his muscular arms flexing as he leans forward. “I’m sure someone will come for us soon.”
Jace’s eyes flick to me, then to Axel, something unreadable flashing across his face. “Maybe not,” he says softly.
I glance between them, the heat rising in my cheeks. I know what’s happening. I can feel it in the way the air seems to crackle between us, in the way my heart pounds faster with every glance, every small movement. It’s the kind of tension that’s impossible to ignore.
And then, almost before I can stop myself, I find my gaze lingering on Axel’s lips. Then Jace’s. And I wonder—just for a moment—what would happen if…
My thoughts are interrupted when Axel suddenly stands, moving closer to me, his eyes dark with something I can’t quite place.
His presence is overwhelming in the small space, his sheer size making me feel like the air is being sucked out of the room.
He doesn’t say anything, just looks at me, his gaze burning into mine.
Jace shifts beside me, his hand brushing against my leg as he moves, sending a jolt of electricity through me. I suck in a breath, my mind racing.
“Emily…” Axel murmurs, his voice low and rough. He’s closer now, so close I can feel the warmth radiating off him.
I don’t know who moves first—me or him—but suddenly his lips are on mine, firm and demanding, and I gasp against his mouth, my hands instinctively reaching up to grip his shoulders.
My heart races as his tongue slips past my lips, deepening the kiss, making my head spin.
But then, just as suddenly, I feel another set of hands on me. Jace.
His touch is softer, more tentative, but just as electrifying. He’s close, so close, and I can feel the heat of his body pressing against mine from the other side. I pull back from Axel, gasping for breath, only to find Jace’s lips on mine next.
The kiss is different, slower, but no less intense. His hands cup my face gently, but there’s an urgency in the way he kisses me, like he’s been waiting for this just as much as Axel has. My mind is spinning, my body caught between the two of them, and it’s all happening so fast, so overwhelming.
Axel’s hands slide down to my hips, gripping me firmly, and I can feel the heat of his breath against my neck as Jace continues to kiss me, his fingers brushing through my hair.
My heart is pounding, my body trembling with the intensity of it all—the sensation of being caught between them, of their hands and lips on me, sending shivers through every inch of my body.
“Emily,” Jace breathes against my lips, his voice low and rough, full of desire. I barely have time to respond before Axel’s mouth is on my neck, trailing hot kisses along my skin, making me gasp.
My head is spinning, and I can’t tell where Axel ends and Jace begins, both of them pressed so close, their hands roaming over my body in a way that makes it hard to think—hard to breathe.
Axel’s hands move to the buttons of my shirt, his fingers deftly undoing them, one by one.
His touch is firm but slow, like he’s savoring every second.
I feel the cool air hit my skin as he pulls my shirt open, exposing more of me to the warmth of his mouth, which trails down my neck and along my collarbone, leaving a hot trail in its wake.
Jace’s hands move lower, sliding under the hem of my shirt to rest on my bare skin. His fingers trace lazy circles, his touch gentle but insistent, making me shiver. I lean into him, my back pressing against his chest as his lips find mine again, slow and sensual.
I’m lost in the feel of them—both of them—as they work in tandem, sending jolts of pleasure through me with every kiss, every touch.
Axel’s hand moves lower, brushing against the waistband of my pants, his fingers sliding just beneath the fabric. I gasp, my heart pounding in my chest as I feel the heat of his hand against my skin.
Jace’s lips brush against my ear, his voice a low murmur.
His voice sends a shiver down my spine, and I can’t help but moan softly as Axel’s fingers graze lower, teasing me through the fabric of my pants.
It’s all so overwhelming, the sensation of being touched by both of them, of having their hands on me at the same time.
I pull back from Jace just long enough to fumble with the buttons of Axel’s jeans.
Axel’s eyes darken as he watches me, his breath coming in shallow gasps as I slide my hand lower, tracing the line of his abdomen before finding the button of his pants. I can feel the tension in his body, the way he’s holding himself back, and it sends a thrill through me.
I undo the button, my hand slipping inside, and Axel lets out a low groan, his head falling back as I wrap my fingers around his hard shaft. His cock throbs painfully hot in my palm.
I begin to move my hand, slow and deliberate, watching as his body responds to my touch.
At the same time, Jace’s hands slide lower, his fingers deftly undoing the button of my pants.
I can feel the heat of his breath against my neck, the way his body presses against mine as he slips his hand into my cunt with ease, his fingers finding my clit, teasing me with gentle strokes that make my knees weak.
I moan, my head falling back against Jace’s chest as his fingers move in time with mine.
“Emily…” Axel groans, his voice thick with desire as I continue to stroke him, my hand moving faster now, feeling the heat and hardness of him in my palm.
Jace’s fingers slide deeper, his touch more insistent now as he continues to fuck me with his fingers.
And then it happens. Axel groans, his body tensing as he finds his release, his hand gripping my waist as he shudders under my touch.
At the same moment, Jace’s fingers push me over the edge, and I cry out, my body shaking as the pleasure washes over me in waves, leaving me breathless and trembling in their arms.
And just then, the door opens.
