Chapter 11 Diesel

We finally arrived at the clubhouse after a nap, shower, and packing up the safe house, securing it for the future.

Hades was waiting for us at the bar. He stood when he saw Becca, setting his glass down before he slid from the stool and strode toward her.

His normally gruff expression had disappeared, replaced with a fatherly love and concern that Becca needed.

She ran into his embrace as he opened his arms, catching her as she threw herself into his chest. It was sweet.

Hades held her as he seemed to be struggling to remain in control, swallowing the emotion that threatened to overtake him. “You’re back, baby girl.”

“I am.” She looked up at him. “Dad.”

The bar was packed, and it went quiet as Hades kissed her forehead. He took a couple of breaths and smiled. “Hear that? I’m a father!”

Cheers exploded around us as every member celebrated the special moment.

It didn’t matter that Hades hadn’t donated any DNA.

This was a declaration—a different type of claiming.

Hades now had someone to pass his legacy onto since he never fathered any children.

I could tell it meant fucking everything to him.

Becca hugged him again before she swiped under her eyes. “Did you tell them we called church?”

“Not yet.”

“Should we do it here? In front of everyone?”

“Yeah, daughter. I think we should.”

And so the story began, starting with Bulldog’s fateful trip and ending with tonight, catching everyone up. Some of the older members had been around back then, and they remembered when Bulldog brought Becca home. Quite a few had details to add until the story was complete.

Well, not quite. We had a few loose ends to tie up.

First, the assholes who decided to go after Becca needed to be dealt with right away. No mercy.

Second, Becca’s real identity. She wanted to find out about her birth mother, and the only one who could help with that was Void. He took her aside, standing with Rev and me.

“I don’t know if there will be any records. We don’t have a lot of facts to work with.”

“It’s okay. Whatever you can find, I want to know.”

“You’ll have to give me time. A deep dive like this, searching places that aren’t always legal, might take weeks or months to infiltrate. But I can do it,” he assured her.

“Thank you, Void.” She accepted his kiss before he left us, retreating into his cave where he would dig until he uncovered the truth. For her, he wouldn’t stop until he found what she was looking for, no matter the risk or result.

I respected that.

Becca leaned against me as I wrapped an arm around her. “What’s the plan?”

“We discuss that with Hades.”

“Not you,” Rev added before he kissed her.

“No fair trying to distract me.”

“Hey, you just got filled by both of us at the same time? Aren’t you sore?” I asked, dropping my voice low enough that no one would hear.

“Yes, but it’s actually making me wet just thinking about it.”

Rev groaned. “Don’t say that shit right now. I’m getting hard.”

My cock swelled like he was missing out on the party.

We had her caged between us, our bodies blocking her from view.

I couldn’t resist teasing her. “You need double-stuffed again?”

“Oh my god, yes.”

Rev shook his head. “Not until we spill blood in your name.”

We both released her.

Becca stumbled back against the wall, her eyes hooded. “You need to hurry.”

Rev shook his head. “Needy little thing.”

“Don’t worry, princess, we’ll be primed and ready for you.”

Her lower lip jutted out in a cute pout. “Fine.”

“Go play with Sydney.” I ticked my head toward the door where Sydney stood with War, Trojan, and Raptor.

“Becca!” Sydney screamed, shoving people out of her way.

Our woman left us so fucking fast it was almost an insult.

I smiled as she hugged her best friend, then turned to Rev. “Now. While she’s distracted.”

He nodded. “Let’s go.”

Becca had no idea that we already had a plan in place. Hades had been in contact, texting instructions and confirming our orders. We were leaving now. In the middle of the night, during a blizzard, to hunt our enemies and end this shit.

For good.

The two women were ushered to a table, where a club bunny began serving them drinks. I paid her extra to be nice, provide snacks, and keep the girls occupied while we were gone.

Hades pulled us aside, keeping Becca in his line of sight. He already said he wouldn’t leave her, and we agreed. The party was a ruse, mostly to keep Becca, Sydney, and the other ol’ ladies distracted from learning about the hunt until it was over.

But we had an ace up our sleeves. A few of the Tonopah GBMC members were joining us per Hades’ request, including Diablo, Spook, and Patriot. They all hated human traffickers, but Spook and Patriot’s ol’ ladies had been victims. Any chance they had for payback, they jumped at it.

They were already outside, waiting for us.

“Follow their lead. We all know what they can do.”

Yeah. Reap souls. Craziest shit I ever saw. If I hadn’t witnessed it myself, I would have called bullshit on the whole thing. But I had seen it happen more than once.

It was fucking cool to be friends with Grim Reapers.

“Get vengeance for our girl,” Hades ordered. “Go.”

We didn’t need the whole club to risk their lives. Only Rev and I were stupid enough to do that. The rest of the club stayed behind to provide protection in case those trafficking motherfuckers showed up at the clubhouse.

Hades wasn’t taking any chances. His priority was Becca and the club, both of equal importance. Not a soul disputed that.

Diablo ticked his chin in greeting as I approached him, standing with Spook and Patriot beside a jeep. “This should handle all the fucking snow.”

No shit. I was almost jealous. I needed one.

“So, how does this work?” I asked once we climbed inside. Patriot drove, making it appear too damn easy when the roads weren’t much of an issue.

“Our Reapers will find them. You looking for anyone in particular?”

“Whoever tampered with Becca’s car and caused her crash,” Rev growled.

Diablo arched a brow. “Where did the crash happen?”

“I’ll show you.”

Patriot parked the jeep when we arrived, and we all climbed out.

Becca’s SUV looked worse now than when we first found it.

Rust and corrosion were already rampant.

The weight of the heavy snow caused structural damage.

Like the roof caving in. Mold would be a problem soon.

I bet most of the components were seized up.

This would be a total loss for Becca.

“We’ll get her a new one.” Rev gestured to the vehicle. “There’s no saving it.”

Never thought there would be.

“You think she’s upset about it?”

“Don’t know,” I replied with honesty. “She doesn’t seem so attached that we can’t gift her a new one.”

“Yeah.”

Something was on Rev’s mind. “Tell me.”

“We didn’t use any protection with her, Diesel. What if one of us knocked her up?”

“You upset about it?” I sure wasn’t.

“No. It’s just that I don’t want to force her into anything.”

“I hear you. We’ll talk to her once we’re back, even if we gotta kidnap Void for a few minutes.”

Diablo approached us. “Found the gunshots. There’s a fucking stench associated with it.”

Huh. Interesting.

“Found the same stench by her engine. Someone fucked with her car. Same guy who shot at you.”

Son of a bitch.

“Can you track it?” I asked, hoping I didn’t insult him.

“Already done. The Reaper can lead us to him and the other two who fired weapons.”

Okay. Good. “I appreciate it, Diablo.”

“No need to thank me. I want a piece of these motherfuckers. One is especially nasty.”

A dark laugh followed, and I took a step back. Holy shit. The skeletal face of the Reaper stared at me.

“Afraid?”

“I would be a fool if I said no.”

Rev held up his hands. “Not gonna deny how fucking badass you are.”

The Reaper’s face receded as Diablo smirked. “He’s a cocky bastard.”

I would be, too, if I had a scythe and could mark souls for death, harvest them, and then send the fuckers to hell.

“It’s a dark bargain,” Diablo informed me. “One you’re not meant to pay.”

“The Reaper chooses,” Spook added as he joined us.

That deflated my ego a bit.

Rev shrugged. “Can’t say I feel that calling, so I’m good.”

Diablo began to walk through the snow. “Follow me.”

“They’re close?”

“Close enough,” he replied, a bit cryptic.

It was right around then that I realized I hadn’t seen Patriot since we arrived.

Rev walked beside me. “I want to buy Becca a ring.”

I stopped, turning my head to stare at him in surprise. “You want to marry her?”

“Yeah.”

Okay. “Then we do it.”

He grinned. “I hope Void is okay with it.”

“He probably wants to marry her, too. Did you see him after they fucked? The boy is whipped.”

Rev chuckled. “So are we.”

There was a lot of truth to that statement.

“I want kids,” he added. “A bunch of them.”

“Damn. What brought this on?” I asked as I walked to catch up to Diablo. “You feelin’ your age?”

He flipped me off. “I’m younger than you.”

“By five months.”

“Still counts.”

Spook approached us. “Diablo found the one who messed with Becca’s car.”

“I want a crack at him before you reap his soul.”

“Done.” He pointed at the building in front of us. “He’s in there.”

I had to give credit where it was due. Diablo found that motherfucker and presented him to us, waiting so we could see this asshole suffer before he died.

The building turned out to be an old printing press, abandoned when the company went bankrupt. There were old printing presses, rusted from age, slowly decaying. Papers and garbage were strewn across the floor.

Spook threw a rope to Diablo. He caught it, tossing the end over the exposed rafters. It looped over and fell within an inch of where he stood. He looked at the guy who was blindfolded, his wrists bound in front of him. “This is the one you’re looking for.” He ripped off the blindfold.

I didn’t recognize the man who stared at Rev and me, but he seemed to know who we were because he sneered.

“Who are you working for?”

I had to attempt to get answers, even if I suspected no true answers would be revealed.

“I’m not telling you shit.”

Confident for a guy about to die. He still didn’t notice the rope yet.

“Why did you go after my woman?”

The guy just laughed. He wasn’t intimidated, which meant he had seen some dark shit in his life. There was nothing interesting or memorable about him.

Rev shook his head. “He’s not going to talk.”

Diablo agreed. “There’s nothing to learn from this one. He’s not in charge.” The Reaper’s face pushed to the surface, taking over Diablo’s features. “His soul is mine. I’m sending him to Lucifer.”

Fine with me.

I spun on my heel and left the building, finding satisfaction only when I heard the motherfucker begin to scream and beg for mercy. He never showed any, and he wouldn’t be receiving it.

“This felt like a fucking waste of time,” Rev fumed.

“Oh, but it’s not,” Spook assured us. “One less rapist in the world is no loss.”

“We agree on that.”

Spook tilted his head to the side. “Fuck. My Reaper is telling me.” He paused. “We need to get back to your clubhouse. Now!”

Was Becca in danger?

“Go!” Rev yelled, and I joined him, running back to the jeep.
