Epilogue
One Year Later
“I’ll help them, Mama.” Ava bounded into the room and immediately greeted the guests. Adrienne closed her laptop and stowed it away just as Ethan walked in. He noticed her grin and mirrored it with his own.
“You finished.” He stated.
“I did.”
He picked her up and twirled her around, as he gave her a kiss.
“Ethan! We have guests,” Adrienne giggled.
“And I’m sure they will be excited to be the first to hear that my best selling author wife just finished her very first standalone novel!” Ethan proclaimed the last bit loudly, then let her down and clapped. The confused looking family clapped too, and Ava ran over to give her a hug.
As Adrienne hugged the little girl, watching her husband walk over to finish checking in the family, she felt whole. This life, this family, it was hers. And she would never stop being grateful for it.
