Reyansh is RIVANs wife #2
The shopping trip was exactly what everyone expected.
By the time they returned home, everyone was exhausted.
The evening sun had already disappeared.
The villa grew quieter.
People rested.
Freshened up.
Changed clothes.
And eventually gathered together for dinner.
The dining hall looked lively again.
Virendra and Yashodha sat together near one end.
Rekha and Samarveer were discussing something.
Rudraksh was busy stealing food before dinner officially started.
Payal was pretending not to notice.
Aradhya was threatening violence.
As usual.
At the center sat Reyansh.
Calm.
Collected.
Looking like a king ruling over complete madness.
The Thakur siblings occupied one side.
The elders another.
Conversations filled the room.
Laughter followed.
For the first time in days, things felt normal.
Peaceful.
Like a family simply enjoying dinner together.
And none of them knew
That peace was about to last approximately five more minutes before someone inevitably created another disaster.
Which was exactly why the sudden vibration of Reyansh's phone immediately caught everyone's attention.
At first, he ignored it.
Then it rang again.
And again.
His expression changed the moment he looked at the screen.
The casual look vanished.
His eyebrows shot upward.
The entire table fell silent.
Reyansh stood from his chair so abruptly that even Virendra looked alarmed.
"What?"
His voice rose another octave.
Everyone exchanged confused looks.
The bodyguard on the other side said something that nobody could hear.
Reyansh ran a hand over his face.
The name instantly froze the entire table.
Even Devyani stopped eating.
The bodyguard answered immediately.
Reyansh listened for a few more seconds before muttering several words that definitely shouldn't be repeated in front of elders.
He grabbed his car keys.
Another pause.
Then he disconnected the call.
The dining room immediately exploded with questions.
"What happened?" Virendra asked.
Reyansh looked like a man reconsidering every friendship decision he had ever made.
Then he sighed heavily.
Then he turned toward the exit.
But before he could take another step
A chair moved.
Everyone looked up.
Devyani was already standing.
The words surprised everyone.
Including Reyansh.
For a second he simply stared at her.
Trying to understand whether this was concern.
Curiosity.
Or something else.
Eventually he decided not to question it.
Because honestly?
Even he wasn't sure he could handle a drunk RIVAN alone.
So he simply nodded.
And the two quietly left.
The drive was uncomfortable.
Not because anyone was speaking.
Because nobody was.
Reyansh focused on the road.
Devyani stared out the window.
The city lights blurred past.
Her mind remained restless.
A drunk RIVAN.
That alone sounded dangerous.
Very dangerous.
Because sober RIVAN already created enough disasters.
Nobody wanted to imagine the drunk version.
Unfortunately, twenty minutes later
They found out.
And immediately regretted it.
The moment they entered the private bar, both of them stopped.
Completely.
The scene before them looked less like a bar and more like a crime documentary.
Several expensive chairs were overturned.
One table had somehow lost two legs.
Three security guards stood together in one corner looking traumatized.
A bartender appeared seconds away from resignation.
And in the middle of all the destruction
Sat RIVAN Thakur.
Drunk.
Completely.
Absolutely.
Gloriously drunk.
His black shirt sleeves were rolled up carelessly.
The first few buttons were open.
His hair was messy.
And he looked one inconvenience away from starting a war.
The moment someone approached him, he pointed dramatically.
The poor businessman froze.
The businessman immediately retreated.
Meanwhile another man attempted to calm him down.
A huge mistake.
RIVAN narrowed his eyes.
The man looked nervous.
The man hadn't even said anything.
At all.
Reyansh closed his eyes.
Taking a deep breath.
Devyani slowly turned her head toward him.
The look she gave him was so deadly that Reyansh immediately corrected himself.
He coughed.
The deadly stare remained.
Reyansh gulped.
Then wisely chose silence.
Meanwhile RIVAN had apparently discovered another victim.
One of the waiters.
The poor man looked ready to cry.
Reyansh immediately marched forward.
Enough was enough.
But before he could say a single word
RIVAN looked up.
Saw him.
And suddenly his entire face lit up.
Like a child spotting their favorite person.
The scream echoed across the entire bar.
Every head turned.
Every single one.
Reyansh froze.
Devyani froze.
The bartender froze.
Even the music felt like it stopped.
RIVAN jumped to his feet.
Nearly fell.
Recovered somehow.
Then pointed directly at Reyansh.
"My wife arrived!"
The entire bar stared at Reyansh.
Silence.
Pure silence.
One businessman slowly removed his glasses.
Another leaned forward.
A waiter almost dropped a tray.
Reyansh looked like he wanted the earth to open and swallow him alive.
"RIVAN."
His voice came out through gritted teeth.
"Shut up."
But RIVAN wasn't listening.
Not even a little.
Instead he stumbled toward Reyansh and threw an arm around his shoulders.
A very possessive arm.
The whole bar watched in fascination.
"My wife."
RIVAN announced proudly.
"Best wife."
Reyansh looked ready to commit homicide.
"Leave me."
"No."
"RIVAN."
"No."
"Leave me."
"You always leave me."
The entire bar gasped.
A waiter whispered,
"They're fighting."
Another waiter whispered back,
"I think they're married."
The bartender nodded seriously.
"I think so too."
Reyansh wanted to die.
Immediately.
Meanwhile Devyani had turned away because she was trying not to laugh.
Unfortunately her shoulders were shaking.
Which meant she was failing.
Badly.
RIVAN suddenly pointed toward her.
"And that's my brother in law"
Now the entire bar looked at Devyani.
Then at Reyansh.
Then back at Devyani.
The confusion became even worse.
One businessman looked genuinely invested in the situation.
Reyansh could literally see the gossip forming inside their heads.
Wonderful.
Just wonderful.
"RIVAN."
Reyansh grabbed his collar.
"We are leaving."
"No."
"We are."
"No."
Then RIVAN suddenly pointed at the crowd.
His expression becoming serious.
Dangerously serious.
Everyone became nervous.
The crowd instantly looked at Reyansh.
Reyansh looked horrified.
RIVAN continued.
The crowd immediately moved their chairs further away from Reyansh.
One man even apologized.
"I didn't do anything, sir."
Another nodded.
A third man stood up.
Reyansh nearly blacked out.
Devyani finally lost the battle.
A laugh escaped her lips.
Then another.
Then another.
Within seconds she was laughing so hard she had to hold her stomach.
And the moment RIVAN heard her laugh
He froze.
His drunken eyes immediately found her.
For a brief second, the chaos disappeared from his face.
A small smile appeared.
Soft.
Unconscious.
Almost boyish.
As if hearing her laugh was enough.
Then the drunk idiot ruined the moment.
He pointed at Devyani.
Then at Reyansh.
Then proudly announced
"See? Even my brother-in-law knows I'm right."
And just like that, Reyansh decided friendship was a mistake.
Reyansh had reached the limit of his patience.
He grabbed RIVAN's wrist and pulled him upright before the man could create another scene.
RIVAN blinked.
Then blinked again.
As if the question was extremely difficult.
The bar collectively agreed.
Reyansh pinched the bridge of his nose.
Immediately RIVAN looked offended.
Deeply offended.
Then he pointed at Reyansh dramatically.
Several businessmen immediately turned around again.
One of them whispered,
Another nodded.
"The marriage is definitely real."
Reyansh closed his eyes.
He was one second away from strangling someone.
Most likely RIVAN.
"Bad manners."
RIVAN continued accusing him.
The argument continued for a full minute.
Meanwhile Devyani had completely stopped helping because watching Reyansh suffer was honestly entertaining.
Then suddenly RIVAN's expression changed.
The childish grin faded.
A strange laugh escaped him.
Not happy.
Not normal.
Just strange.
He slowly pointed toward his chest.
Reyansh rolled his eyes.
For the first time, Reyansh actually paused.
Something about his tone felt wrong.
Not dramatic.
Not playful.
Wrong.
Reyansh studied him carefully.
"Come."
He grabbed his arm.
The answer came immediately.
Almost stubbornly.
Reyansh frowned.
"What now?"
RIVAN looked down.
Like a child trying to explain something important.
"No."
He repeated quietly.
The words were spoken so softly that for a second nobody reacted.
Even Devyani's attention shifted toward him.
The usual arrogance wasn't there.
Neither was the confidence.
The man standing before them looked exhausted.
Broken.
And strangely vulnerable.
For a moment Reyansh found himself staring.
Confused.
Because this wasn't RIVAN.
The RIVAN he knew would walk around with bullet wounds and still threaten people.
The RIVAN he knew never admitted pain.
Never.
Yet here he was.
Drunk.
Quiet.
And repeatedly saying he was hurt.
A strange feeling settled inside Reyansh's chest.
"Where?"
The question came out automatically.
RIVAN didn't answer.
Instead he simply grabbed the hem of his shirt.
And lifted it.
The entire bar went silent.
Every sound disappeared.
Every conversation stopped.
Every person froze.
Even Reyansh stopped breathing.
Underneath the shirt
His body looked horrifying.
Several ugly cuts stretched across his torso.
Some old.
Some fresh.
Some half-healed.
Deep bruises painted his ribs and abdomen in shades of black, blue, and purple.
There were marks that looked weeks old.
Others looked days old.
And worst of all
Several wounds had clearly been stitched.
