Reyansh is RIVANs wife #4

Shining.

Fighting to stay inside.

The sight made him hate RIVAN all over again.

And feel bad for him at the same time.

A very annoying combination.

For several moments she said nothing.

Then finally

A small nod.

"Hmmm."

Just one word.

Soft.

Broken.

Tired.

Then she quietly walked toward the car.

No arguments.

No questions.

No explanations.

She simply settled into the passenger seat.

And closed the door.

The drive back was silent.

Painfully silent.

The city lights rushed past outside.

Nobody spoke.

Not Reyansh.

Not Devyani.

Neither knew what to say.

Some wounds didn't have words.

And tonight felt full of them.

Only one voice occasionally broke the silence.

A sleepy.

Broken.

Half-conscious voice from the back seat.

At first it was impossible to understand.

Just murmurs.

Fragments.

Whispers.

Then slowly the words became clearer.

Reyansh tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

Devyani stared out the window.

Neither acknowledged it.

Neither reacted.

But both heard every single word.

"Don't leave me..."

Silence.

A few minutes later

Again.

Softer this time.

"Please..."

Then another restless movement.

Another whisper.

Another plea.

"Don't leave me..."

Devyani closed her eyes.

Her fingers curled tightly into her lap.

The tears she had been fighting all evening threatened to return.

Because the voice didn't sound like RIVAN Thakur.

The rest of the journey passed that way.

A silent car.

A sleeping man.

A broken woman.

And a brother driving through the London night while realizing that whatever had happened during those missing two years

It had destroyed far more than any of them understood.

The moment Reyansh's car entered the villa gates, everyone who had been waiting in the living room immediately stood up.

The entire family had been worried ever since Reyansh had rushed out after receiving that phone call.

Virendra was the first to step forward.

Payal followed.

Yashoda stood from the sofa.

Even Aradhya, who had been scrolling through her phone a few moments ago, straightened immediately.

Then the car door opened.

And everyone froze.

Reyansh stepped out first.

RIVAN's arm was thrown over his shoulder while Reyansh practically dragged half his weight.

The man could barely walk properly.

His steps were uneven.

His eyes were closed half the time.

And he was continuously mumbling things nobody could understand.

One second he was talking about something completely random.

The next second he was muttering complaints.

Then suddenly laughing.

Then going quiet again.

It was impossible to follow.

"Slowly..." Reyansh muttered, adjusting his grip.

RIVAN immediately frowned.

The family stared.

None of them had ever seen RIVAN like this.

Ever.

Behind them, Devyani stepped out of the car.

She didn't look at anyone.

Didn't stop.

Didn't answer the questioning expressions directed toward her.

She simply walked inside the villa and headed upstairs.

Straight to her room.

The family exchanged glances.

Nobody stopped her.

Nobody asked questions.

Meanwhile Reyansh somehow managed to pull RIVAN inside.

Virendra immediately stepped forward.

"What happened?"

Reyansh sighed.

"Nothing."

Everyone looked unconvinced.

"He just drank too much."

That was all he said.

Nothing about the wounds.

Nothing about the stitches.

Nothing about the bar.

Nothing about the things RIVAN had been saying.

Some matters could wait until morning.

For now, getting him to sleep was enough.

"Move," Reyansh muttered.

"Let me take him upstairs."

RIVAN pointed at Virendra.

"Dad."

Virendra nodded.

The entire room went silent.

Virendra stared.

RIVAN nodded seriously.

Then he immediately forgot the conversation and continued walking.

Aradhya almost choked trying not to laugh.

Payal hid behind Yashoda.

Even Rudraksh looked away.

Reyansh wanted the floor to swallow him.

After what felt like an entire lifetime, he finally dragged RIVAN upstairs.

The room assigned to him was conveniently next to Devyani's.

Reyansh pushed the door open.

Walked inside.

And practically threw him toward the bed.

RIVAN landed face-first on the mattress.

Then rolled onto his back.

Still mumbling nonsense.

Reyansh rubbed his shoulder.

He exhaled dramatically.

"He is heavy."

Very heavy.

Years of training and muscle apparently existed solely to make other people's lives difficult.

Reyansh turned around.

Preparing to leave.

When suddenly

A hand shot out.

Fast.

Too fast for a drunk man.

Before Reyansh could react

RIVAN grabbed his collar.

Pulled him down.

And planted a loud kiss directly on his cheek.

The room froze.

Completely.

Absolutely.

Utterly.

Nobody moved.

Nobody breathed.

Nobody blinked.

Reyansh stood there.

Motionless.

His brain refusing to process what had just happened.

RIVAN released him.

Then smiled proudly.

Payal covered her mouth.

Rudraksh looked ready to collapse.

Virendra stared at the ceiling.

Yashoda suddenly found the curtains very interesting.

For three whole seconds

Nobody spoke.

Then Reyansh slowly touched his cheek.

Very slowly.

Like a man experiencing trauma in real time.

Meanwhile RIVAN had already forgotten the incident.

He rolled toward the pillow.

Pulled the blanket over himself.

And closed his eyes.

Peacefully.

As if he hadn't just ruined Reyansh's reputation forever.

Aradhya was the first one to break.

A snort escaped her.

Then another.

Even Virendra walked away suspiciously fast.

Leaving Reyansh standing there.

Frozen.

Offended.

And deeply questioning every life decision that had led him to this moment.

Behind him, RIVAN mumbled one final sentence before drifting into sleep.

Reyansh closed his eyes.

Tomorrow.

He was definitely killing him tomorrow.

Reyansh stood there for exactly three seconds.

Three.

Long.

Painful.

Seconds.

Then he pointed a finger at the sleeping menace on the bed.

RIVAN opened one eye.

"Hmmm?"

RIVAN smiled lazily.

"Wife..."

Reyansh's eye twitched.

"Subah uth."

The second the word left his mouth, Reyansh grabbed the nearest pillow and launched it directly at his face.

THUD.

The pillow landed perfectly.

RIVAN gasped dramatically.

"Betrayal."

The family members who had gathered near the door completely lost it.

Laughter erupted everywhere.

Aradhya was literally bent over holding her stomach.

Payal had tears in her eyes.

Even Virendra was struggling to maintain dignity.

Because honestly

Nobody.

Absolutely nobody.

Had ever seen RIVAN Thakur like this.

The man who terrified boardrooms.

The man who made politicians nervous.

The man who could silence an entire room with one look.

Was currently lying on a bed calling Reyansh his wife.

Repeatedly.

It was the funniest thing they had witnessed all year.

Reyansh looked around at the laughing audience and immediately pointed toward the door.

"You all."

Everyone straightened.

"Out."

Aradhya immediately shook her head.

This time even Virendra quietly started walking away.

Because Reyansh looked genuinely dangerous.

The family continued laughing while leaving the room one by one.

Payal nearly tripped because she couldn't stop giggling.

Rudraksh looked seconds away from recording everything.

Aradhya kept turning back every few steps.

A cushion flew toward her.

She screamed and ran.

The moment the room emptied, Reyansh finally exhaled.

Peace.

Finally.

Unfortunately

RIVAN was still there.

And unfortunately

He was still talking.

RIVAN slowly sat up.

Looked around the room.

Then lowered his voice dramatically.

Reyansh immediately became suspicious.

"What?"

RIVAN leaned forward.

"Shuuu..."

A huge grin appeared on RIVAN's face.

Reyansh frowned.

Very deeply.

Then RIVAN winked.

Actually winked.

Dead silence.
