Someone's Watching the Angelharts

Private investigator Margo Angelhart has returned to her family's PI business, but she never stopped thinking about the case that split them.

Three and a half years ago, her father, Dr. Cooper Angelhart, pleaded guilty to killing a colleague; Margo was certain he was innocent, yet her mother, Ava, refused to help look into it and would not say why.

When a nurse who once worked with Cooper contacts her with a possible lead, Margo hurries to follow it and instead discovers the woman's gruesome murder.

Cooper is then transferred in the middle of the night to an out-of-state penitentiary, and Ava finally explains why he confessed to a murder he did not commit.

Now every Angelhart has to fight to clear his name, even as their investigation drags them into a deadly conspiracy and into the path of powerful people with fortunes to protect—people who have killed before, and who now have an Angelhart in their sights.
