Chapter Fifteen #4

He moaned at the contact, his nostril flaring. There was a wildness about him that was fascinating. She couldn’t tear her gaze away. Not that she wanted to. She loved seeing him like this. All reckless and untamed.

“Oh, wildcat, I’m going to fucking come if you keep looking at me like that.” He reached down, urged her fingers back to her clit. “And I don’t want to do it alone. So, you rub that swollen little clit until you come hard. I want to feel your pretty pussy strangling my cock.”

She nodded, completely beyond words, and flicked her fingers back and forth against the bundle of nerves in a brutal rhythm. The tension in her climbed higher and higher, forcing her past comfortable and into desperate.

His hips crashed into hers, the short hard strokes hitting all the right places. The combination of the stretch and pull of his cock, and the way her fingers strummed her clit was too much.

The edge exploded beneath her. She tumbled over, falling head over feet. Her back arched and her body shook. She screamed his name, dug her nails into his thigh.

He grunted, fucking her hard through the orgasm. “Yes, that’s a good girl, that’s a good girl. Coming hard for me.”

Her pussy squeezed tight at the praise. Made her entire body shake.

“Fuck, I’m going to come.” He thrust into her hard, pushing deep. His entire body went taught, turned to stone. He tipped his head back and shouted something incoherent at the ceiling. His hips clenched and released as he pulsed inside her.

It was the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen. He was so uninhibited. So unlike the rigid and disciplined person he showed to the rest of the world.

He dropped forward onto his hands so he was leaning against her, almost on top of her.

The breath heaved in and out of his lungs.

Her leg was trapped between them, and her hip was starting to cramp, but she couldn’t begin to figure out how to untangle them enough to help.

He leaned his forehead against her neck, their sweaty skin sticking together.

“That was incredible.” He pressed his lips against her throat. “Thank you.” He pushed himself off of her. His cock slipped out of her pussy.

She made a noise in the back of her throat, feeling incredibly empty all of a sudden. With a sigh, she lowered her leg. The blood began to flow through the limb properly, making pins and needles prickle her skin. She shifted so she was on her side, facing him.

He was on his back, still breathing hard, his arm thrown over his eyes. She couldn’t resist the urge to reach out and touch him, running her fingers over his chest. He made a very contented sounding noise in the back of his throat and pulled his arm away from his face.

“I’m going to take care of this condom.” He rolled off the edge of the bed. Even from behind, the man was a god. All those rippling back muscles and tight buns. “And then I’m going to have a shower.” He glanced over his shoulder, that cheeky half smile on his lips. “Care to join me?”

She’d be a fool to pass up such an amazing invitation. And, while she’d been many things in her life, she’d grown out of the fool phase.

She slid off the bed. Her legs felt like jelly that had spent the afternoon in the sun, but she managed to stay on her feet. She considered it a win.

By the time she made it into the bathroom, he’d already taken care of the condom and had started the shower. Steam was filling the room, making it all warm and cozy. She closed the door behind her to keep it that way.

The bathroom was small, especially with him and his impossibly wide shoulders in it, so it took a little maneuvering, but she finally stepped into the shower. He stepped in behind her. The hot water cascaded over her, turning her muscles back into that too-long-in-the-sun jelly.

Like the bathroom, the shower and tub combo wasn’t really meant for two people, so it was a tight squeeze. But the feel of him behind her, combined with the heat of the water, made her feel sleepy and lethargic.

He reached around her, squeezed some body wash on a cloth and then began washing her. There was nothing sexual about the act, it was strictly care and comfort. She eased back against him, let him run the cloth over her skin.

When he was done, he urged her under the spray. Then he tackled her hair. His fingers sifted through the strands and massaged her scalp. She made a happy little hum in the back of her throat. No one had taken care of her like this in well… ever.

Her body moved beyond jelly and into puddle of goo territory. She was lucky she didn’t wash down the drain. Her eyes closed of their own accord, and for the life of her, she couldn’t seem to pry them open.

And she really wanted to because she wanted to treat him to the same attention he’d just treated her to. Getting her hands on his body was far too tempting.

He wrapped his arms around her. She sank back into the embrace.

“You’re killing me.” He whispered the words right next to her ear. “Come on, let’s get you to bed.” He shut off the water and lifted her over the edge of the tub. The tiles were chilly against the soles of her feet.

She finally forced her eyes open, even though her eyelids felt like they had medicine balls attached to them. He stepped out of the shower. All of that gorgeousness on full display. Water droplets clung to him, sliding down the dips and valleys of all of those muscles. She licked her lips.

“Stop looking at me like that, or we’re never going to make it out of this bathroom.”

She trailed her gaze up to meet his. Something that looked suspiciously like affection stared back at her. An emotion she refused to identify welled up in her, clogging her throat, making speech impossible.

“Here.” He grabbed a towel and rubbed it over her skin. Tears pricked the back of her eyes at the gentle way he dried her off, but she didn’t know why.

He dropped the towel and ushered her back into the bedroom. Leaving her next to the bed, he went over the dresser. Goosebumps sprang out all over her and she shivered. Her eyes felt droopy and gritty, her limbs heavy and loose.

“Arms up,” he said, coming over to her with something in his hands. His heat enveloped her. She wanted to lean into him and soak it up. But, she didn’t. Instead, she did as he asked and lifted her arms over her head. It was more difficult than it probably should have been.

He slipped a t-shirt over her head. It dwarfed her, the hem hitting her about mid-thigh. The fabric was soft against her skin, the shirt obviously well-worn and washed often. It smelled like him.

He coaxed her into the bed and pulled the covers over her.

She snuggled against the mattress, reveling in the softness.

A jaw cracking yawn escaped her. The bed smelled like him, too, all woodsy and masculine.

She wanted to breathe it in forever. He flipped off the light and turned back toward the bathroom.

She reached out of her little cocoon and grabbed his wrist. “Where are you going?” She tried to make it sound casual, but she could hear the thread of disappointment woven through the words.

“To finish my shower.” He rubbed his hand over the back of hers. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

She nodded. He’d left the bathroom light on and now she realized why. She let go.

He gave her one last look and headed back to the bathroom. The door closed behind him. Darkness engulfed the room.

She rolled over onto her side, facing the bathroom door. The water turned on. Images of him danced through her head.

Some of them were X-rated because, well, he’d just rocked her freaking world. And the room still smelled like sex. He also looked glorious naked, especially with water cascading down his beautiful body.

But the majority of them weren’t.

They were of him just doing every day stuff.

The two of them going through the workouts she’d designed for him.

Him and Em talking and laughing about hockey.

The three of them together at the hockey game earlier.

Em really liked him. And if she was being honest, so did she.

And if she was being really, really honest, her feelings had passed like a whole lot of miles ago.

Having feelings for Nick Sadler was a one-way trip to heartbreak town.

And she knew better than to open herself up like that.

She really did. Her parents and Kevin had taught her that painful lesson.

How she’d let herself get so involved, she didn’t know.

This was supposed to be a fling, a one-time thing.

Yet, somehow, he’d wormed his way past her defenses and now she was in big trouble.

The water shut off. She closed her eyes. It felt safer to pretend she was sleeping.

A few moments later, the bathroom door opened and the light turned off.

She tried to even her breathing, to make it seem like she was asleep.

She didn’t hear him move—he was as silent as a freaking cat—but the other side of the covers lifted and the mattress dipped.

His heat radiated against her back. She unconsciously shifted toward it. Toward him.

He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against him. He was naked, his entire body cocooning hers. It was like curling up next to a furnace.

Every muscle in her body relaxed, returning to that jellified state from earlier. Danger signs flashed in her brain but she pushed them aside. She could worry about them tomorrow. Tonight, she was going to revel in the comfort of the moment.

“Goodnight.” He whispered the word against her ear. Pressed a kiss to the space right behind it.

She made a contented hum in the back of her throat and let the perfectness of the moment carry her to sleep.
