Chapter 8
EIGHT
Tunk
“One more kiss then I promise to let you go,” I said to Lourdè who I was currently holding hostage in my house. It was Saturday morning and I had no plans outside of spending the day with her. But when her mother-in-law called and said she needed her, she was up and ready to leave me.
Lourdè’s sweet giggle escaped her lips as I continued to peck her lips.
“Courtland, you said that three kisses ago, baby.” Which was true. I just wasn’t ready to end our time just yet even though she had been here since last night.
I knew I had to release her at some point. I just wanted her with me.
“I know, but your kisses are so sweet. I can’t help that I’m addicted to them. And plus, I’m not ready to let you go. Can’t she wait until I get my fix of you in my space?” I asked while I finally stepped back from the driver side of her car, placing both hands on the hood.
Since breakfast at Morningside, I had been completely selfish with her time, stealing any free time I could with most of it being here at my house.
“No, I told you it’s all work and very important.
This week alone had been stressful and then you came along with your dick, further throwing me off.
I’m behind. I promise to text you the second I’m free,” she said, cradling my face in her hands and placing one last sloppy kiss on my lips, leaving behind her watermelon-flavored gloss stain.
I didn’t even bother wiping it off before I shut the door and raised the garage door, setting her free.
I tossed my hands behind my head while I watched her drive off.
“Fuck, Tunk, are you sure you can handle this?” I groaned. We were four weeks into this whole sneaking shit, and here I was asking myself if playing second was enough for me.
Lourdè beeped the horn, smiled, then waved, answering my question for me.
“Hell yeah, because I’ma make her mine in due time.”
“Hey, Tunk. I didn’t think you would be in today.” Naja beamed as I walked into the office. I wasn’t supposed to be here. My ass should’ve still been at home still laid between Lourdè’s voluptuous thighs.
Stop thinking about the shit you can’t have right now.
“Yeah, I figure I would get a head start on the hiring process. We need to hire four bodyguards and three security guards.”
”Ooh true. I went ahead and put out an online ad, plus I told a few of the guys if they know of some potential people to send them in.”
I nodded at Naja’s words as I headed back to Boss’s office so I could work on the schedule. He covered a lot, and now I had to shift things around to make sure we could cover everything.
“I appreciate that. If you need me, I’ll be in the office working on the schedule. I have to move some guys around.”
“Oh yeah, don’t forget with moving guys around you’ll still need a couple of them this weekend for the Miss/Mrs. Crescent Falls pageant at The Metropolitan.
Boss scheduled himself working it himself since Oakley Charles is a judge.
He was the only bodyguard while the others were simply security.
” I didn’t verbally acknowledge Naja’s words as I finally made it to the office, but mentally I was preparing to cover the shift myself since I was now available.
I had moved all other trained bodyguards to cover Boss’s other scheduled shifts.
Halfway through my day the sound of my phone buzzing had me taking my eyes off the computer screen where I was listing a hiring ad.
Lando: Family game night. Take a break from whatever you sneak away and do on the weekends and come spend time with these kids, fool.
I smirked as I replied. He stayed trying to figure out my life. I was sure my visits to Seventh Heaven would decrease now that I’d decided to explore things with only Lourdè.
How you become boyfriend number two?
I had no idea, but it was a temporary title.
Me: I’ll be there tonight.
