Sawyer

The ride back to Addison’s place felt charged in a way I couldn’t quite explain.

The city blurred past in streaks of gold and navy while cool air slipped under my jacket, threaded with late summer and asphalt.

My focus stayed on her, on the way her hands tightened when I accelerated and on the steady rhythm of her breath against my neck.

It felt natural to have her like this, trusting me and holding on.

When I pulled up outside her building, she slid the helmet off, and her hair spilled loose as she climbed off the bike and turned to face me. “You want to come up for a little while?” she asked, her voice low and steady, not tentative but not careless either.

I didn’t pause. “Yeah,” I said. “I do.”

She smiled like she already knew I would and took my hand like it was obvious before leading me inside. Her condo was dim and quiet, lit by a single lamp that turned everything soft gold.

I kicked off my boots and set my helmet next to hers on the table while she padded across the floor barefoot with her blouse untucked and her hair still windblown from the ride. She looked relaxed and open, like she had shed something on the way home.

“You want a drink?” she asked while heading for the kitchen.

I shook my head and dragged a hand through my hair. “I should stick to water. Still gotta get home later.”

She opened the fridge and glanced over her shoulder. “Still or sparkling?”

“You have sparkling water?”

She grinned. “Yes, I’m obsessed. I have a Soda Stream to make my own and a fridge stocked full of it.”

I leaned against the counter. “Of course you do.”

She pulled out a lemon and a lime LaCroix. “Want one?”

“I’ve never had one.” I shrugged.

She gasped like I had committed a crime. “You’ve never had a LaCroix?”

I smirked. “Still water, babe. Straight up.”

She handed me the lemon with exaggerated seriousness. “Here. You’re starting with the best flavor.”

We cracked them open, and the fizz snapped sharp in the quiet kitchen. She took a sip and tipped her head toward the hallway.

“Come on,” she said. “Let’s watch in my room. My bed’s way more comfortable.”

I arched a brow. “I know, I’ve slept in it… Remember?”

She shot me a look over her shoulder while walking away. “Don’t get cocky, metal girl. Let’s go watch Buffy. You’ve got me hooked.”

“Glad you like it.” I laughed following her down the hall while my pulse picked up with every step.

I had a feeling Buffy wasn’t getting my full attention tonight.

Addison’s bedroom felt quieter than the rest of the place, like the door shut the world out and left only us behind.

She tossed the remote onto the bed, climbed in, and patted the spot beside her like she wasn’t even pretending this was casual.

Sure we’d done this before, but I was half asleep.

Still, I didn’t hesitate. I set my drink on the nightstand, and slid in next to her.

My shoulder brushed hers immediately as the heat of her body met mine. Buffy’s theme song playing.

For a while we actually watched. She laughed at the bad CGI, groaned at the monster-of-the-week plot, and rolled her eyes whenever the dialogue got ridiculous. But she loved it, I knew it.

Every now and then, I caught her looking at me like she was daring herself, and I realized I was doing the same thing.

She curled into my side easily and rested one hand on my stomach like it belonged there.

Her thumb traced slow circles through my shirt in a lazy motion that wasn’t subtle.

I let my hand drift under the hem of her blouse and rest on warm skin while my thumb mirrored hers.

She shifted closer and her breath caught as the tension between us stretched tight enough to hum. “You’re going to have to kiss me now,” she said.

I smiled. “Gladly.”

I kissed her soft. It deepened quickly as our mouths opened and the heat rushed in all at once. She rolled toward me with her leg sliding over my hip, and her fingers gripping my collar like she needed more than she was getting.

I groaned low before I could stop myself. “Fuck, Addison.”

“God, you’re so hot.” She breathed.

My hands moved on instinct, one settling at her waist while the other slid higher under her blouse to touch her skin. She was warm and soft beneath my fingers, and I wanted to learn every inch of her.

She climbed into my lap with a breathy, wrecked little “please” and her hips rocked once before she stilled like she had surprised herself with how good it felt.

I gripped her thighs and her ass and pulled her closer.

“God, baby,” I breathed while my mouth moved along her jaw and down her throat. “You taste so good.”

She made a soft needy sound and reached for the hem of my shirt while tugging at it like she couldn’t stand the barrier anymore.

“Can I—” she started before swallowing. “Can you take this off?”

I went still, not pulling away but grounding us. I looked up at her properly, really taking in the flush in her cheeks and the way her chest rose like she was bracing herself.

“Are you sure?” I asked quietly.

She didn’t hesitate, just nodded. “I’m so sure.

” Her voice shaking while her eyes stayed locked on mine.

Her hands stayed fisted in my shirt like she was afraid I would disappear if she let go.

“I have to be up for work at five,” she continued, breathless but steady, “so you can’t fuck me tonight, but I want to feel you.

I want to see you. I want to stay right here and not pretend this isn’t happening. ”

Something in my chest gave way. “Okay,” I said quietly. “We stay right here.”

She nodded once like she was holding herself together by force. I lifted my arms slowly and gave her the space to change her mind if she needed to.

She didn’t.

She yanked my shirt up and over my head in one impatient motion while her breath caught as my skin met the air. Before I could even register the look on her face, she grabbed the hem of her own T-shirt and pulled it off like the waiting had finally become unbearable.

The sight of her in just a red lacy bra stole the breath straight out of me. But before I could register it, she reached around and unclasped her bra, letting it fall.

“Fuck,” I murmured.

God she’s fucking perfect.

“Your turn,” She said looking at my sports bra. I didn’t even question it, just lifted it up and over my head and tossed it onto the floor.

She didn’t drop back into my lap right away. Her hands slid slowly over my bare skin, like now that she could touch me she wanted to take her time.

Her palms moved first and then her fingers followed while she traced the lines of my body, taking in the warmth of my skin.

I sucked in a breath when her thumbs brushed higher.

“Addison…” I said, though it wasn’t really a warning.

She looked up at me with dark eyes, checking in.

I nodded.

That was all she needed.

She leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my collarbone and then another one slower and more deliberate. Her lips lingered warm and open before sucking gently like she was learning exactly what would make me lose my mind.

“Oh—fuck,” I breathed my head tipped back.

She smiled against my skin and kissed lower before trailing back up again with her mouth moving slowly like she was savoring every reaction. When her lips closed around my nipple, warm and sure, my hands tightened on her hips.

“Jesus,” I groaned. “You’re—”

She hummed with quiet satisfaction and did it again, sucking just enough to pull another sound from me. Her hands braced on my ribs as she explored my body with her mouth in an unhurried, reverent way.

I was soaked.

I pulled her back up into a kiss because I couldn’t help it. The kiss was messy like I needed her mouth on mine again or I was going to come apart.

She met me immediately.

Then her hips rolled slowly against my lap, experimental at first. I moaned loud and ragged.

She lifted her head with swollen lips and dark pleased eyes. “Like that?” she asked softly.

I laughed breathlessly. “You know I do.”

That was all the encouragement she needed.

She went back to me with intention now, her mouth working slowly while her lips and tongue explored what made me lose control.

She sucked just enough to make my hips jerk before I could stop it and then eased back like she wanted to feel the reaction again.

“Jesus,” I muttered as my composure slipped. “You’re doing that on purpose.”

Her mouth curved faintly against my skin and my hands slid up her back while my grip tightened.

“Addison,” I said again, and this time it sounded more like a plea.

She lifted her head and her eyes shone when she looked at me. “You’re shaking,” she said quietly.

I swallowed. “You’re the problem.”

She laughed softly and climbed back up before kissing me hard like she was proud of herself. Her hips rolled slowly and deliberately while she ground against my lap, now that she knew exactly what she was doing to me, and I let her.

God, I would let her do whatever she wanted.
