I was chilling at another celebrity’s penthouse.
Big party, lots of people. I’d gone there with two girls, but I had a falling out with one of them.
I was so high I don't even remember what the fight was about, maybe hitting on someone else.
I stayed with the other girl. She had black hair and bright blue eyes; she reminded me of someone.
I spent the night with her and had her try VR.
"What is it?" I remember her asking me.
"You ever imagine a dream sequence, but it's very visible and comes to life? You can make anything happen that you think of. It's like that," I told her.
"No way," she said.
"I promise you, once you have this, you’re never going to feel the same way."
And she had it.
It was like our bodies became one. It wasn't just fucking; it wasn't making love. It was a legit out-of-body experience. We were above ourselves, seeing ourselves making love, but we were doubling exponentially.
Different versions of me in different timelines and parallel universes where I looked different and she looked different.
She was seeing the same thing I was. It was crazy.
It lasted for so long. I don't remember if there were other people in the room because all I could see was a sea of our own bodies.
After the rush was over, we were still riding our high.
You’d feel it for three days. $1,500 for a three-day experience you can’t get on Earth is a great deal, especially with the money we were making.
New strains were coming out every day. It made me a better player, a better drummer, a better man, a better lover.
Made me feel… like… a fucking hero.
I drove her home. She didn't live very far, but I wanted to go back to one of my houses; a mansion, not my biggest, just a place I crashed when I wanted to be alone or with lady friends. She was standing through the moonroof of my car, smiling and screaming, "Do you see this?!"
I laughed, white-knuckling the steering wheel, my eyes wide.
I felt like I was driving on a rainbow in the middle of space, on the rim of the galaxy.
Then I looked outside the window and there was God waving back at me.
He looked nothing like I thought; he had a lot of eyes, but he was a real cool dude.
"You can go faster, you know. I'll take care of you," He said.
"All right. You ready? Hang on, baby," I told the girl.
"It’s a rainbow!" she screamed.
We got to her house on the "rainbow highway.
" It was late, so not many people were out.
When we got out of the car, we were feeling too good.
I picked her up, growling into her neck, and slammed her against the wall under an archway leading to the courtyard.
I pulled up her cocktail dress. When I opened my eyes, her eyes were glowing like fire.
"Oh shit. You’re so fucking beautiful," I told her.
"You have horns," she said, feeling my head. I could feel my head tug a little when she touched my "devil horns."
I slid inside of her, fucking her against that hard wall. Her flesh was peeling, and I could see glittery skin coming off her. She scratched my back, biting my neck as I bit into hers.
"I want to come," I told her, wanting to say more but not knowing how.
All around us, the world transformed into a blue-scape of clouds on the ground while the trees passed over us like clouds. It was surreal. Physics didn't make sense.
We were spirits; we didn't even have feet. Something was moving my body for me, pumping into her, and I didn't feel like I was doing any work. But I felt the orgasm coming closer and closer.
"OH MOTHERFFFFFFUCKER!" I yelled so loud I thought I’d pass out. Out of all my experiences on "VR/Paradise," this had to be one of the best.
I knew she’d get good sleep that night.
I don't remember how I got back in my car, but I did, and the drug was hitting full force. That rainbow highway was now two highways. My car was split in two, and I was two people. I was sailing, watching myself driving alongside me from the right and the left at the same time.
How the fuck?
Oh my God.
I was laughing, so fucking happy. I started traveling at the speed of light, moving through a time-lapse of existence.
My car started floating and flying. I let go of the steering wheel.
You know that moment when you’re letting go of something you shouldn't?
I did, and it was fine. As I let go, I fell faster through a vortex.
When I went through the membrane, it exploded into a million glittering pieces all over my face.
Every time one touched me, it made me feel euphoric, like I was coming again.
That’s the thing: I didn't need sex for this drug. All I needed was happiness. I was coming right there in my driver’s seat.
I came so hard, and again, and again, stuck in an endless loop of an orgasm that was so much more than anything I could experience on my own.
Nothing else existed but pure joy and the feeling that I was loved and special.
Then I opened my eyes, and I was in my garage. It was shifting, like it wasn't fully here. I was phasing in and out of reality. Thirsty, I grabbed the Golden Grain from the dash and took a big swig, finishing it. The alcohol mellowed the feeling out, stretching it deeper.
Looking at my passenger seat, I saw a hole in it.
When I peered into the hole, I could see myself sleeping on the floor of my trailer when I was eight years old.
Smiling, I got out of my car. My feet never touched the ground because I was floating.
Imagine walking on air, gliding with no gravity, no weight, no trauma. No impact. Just like air.
The world still sparkled like Heaven. It was dark blue now, with glittering creatures on the walls. I needed more alcohol from the fridge to help me sleep; in this state, you don't need sleep, but I was vaguely aware my body would. I was responsible.
Then I heard a groan. Or a creak. Like someone was in the house with me. The sound was coming from the garage. I "flew" over there. I opened the door and looked at my car, sparkling dewdrops were falling all around it, bouncing off the bonnet in slow motion. I floated down and followed the sound.
It was early Sunday morning, still dark. I don't know why I didn't turn on the light. I was tired as shit, but I looked into the car. I took a swig of liquor, and there was a beautiful explosion of glassy shards that swung around my face.
"Hey guys," I said, running my hands through them. But then I noticed a portal in my windshield, a swirling hole. I looked through the hole, and something was moving in the back seat. That’s where the groaning was coming from.
There she was. Beautiful as a demon from Fairyland, eyes glowing, blood rushing down her face as she opened her mouth and groaned. She stared right at me. I wasn't sure what the hell I was looking at. Never seen that in my trips. But I was tired.
I closed my eyes and opened them again; she was still there. I stepped closer and looked through the "vortex" in the windshield that was starting to look like a real hole, like something had flown through it.
It was big.
I don't know how it missed me. The hole was mostly on the passenger side but reached the middle. Sparkles were all over the dash.
I walked to the side of the car and looked through the glass. Even though it was tinted, I could see her. That same woman, covered in red. Her face was redder than before, like someone threw a bucket of paint on her.
"Help," she groaned feebly. She had butterfly wings that were withering away.
Something unsettled me. But there was no way I was going to let anything ruin my trip.
I walked back into the house, looking back at my car as it faded in and out of reality.
For a moment, it looked like a portal was going through it.
Then, in a glitch, I saw my car with half the windshield busted in and bits of red around the corners.
But I didn't want to deal with trying to figure out what that meant. So I went back to sleep. And I slept hard.
