29. Kolson

Thirty minutes feels like a lifetime as we wait, and for a moment, I worry Jace will get to her before Tank even has a chance.

“Time’s up,” Isaac says into the com a second before I could fold and tell him to forget the fucking time limit.

Not to mention how close she’s getting to the edge of the woods. I watch her little dot move on the map on one of the many monitors and grit my teeth. I’m not sure if she’s got some kind of knowledge of the area or just took a lucky fucking guess, but it’s just as well now that he’s on her trail.

Between the two of them, I’m sure she won’t get away.

On the off chance she does, I can always find a new way to break her and make her mine.

There’s always a way, and while I told her she would be free of us, it was a lie.

I’m not sure there’s anything she can do to be rid of us now.

“He found her.” I whip around at Isaac’s words, my eyes zeroing in on the monitor that shows the video feed from the camera on Tank’s mask.

I’ve never been more thankful for my brother’s big brain and his need to overthink every step than I am right now as I look at the night vision picture before me.

There’s no way in hell we would have been able to see anything with a regular camera. Isaac and I don’t want to miss a single second of this.

“Keep your hands off her!” Jace shouts in the com I gave him, but it’s useless, seeing as only we can hear him.

I ignore him, unwilling to waste my breath on him again. I already told him this isn’t about what he wants; it’s about teaching her a lesson, even if that means breaking her.

“It’s nothing personal, but I have people I can’t let down even if that means I have to put my own morals aside,” Tank tells her, and I smirk. Helping him might have been one of the best things we’ve done; having him in our back pocket is very useful.

And soon we’ll have Vixen as well.

She thrashes and screams, putting up a fight that only makes her more appealing. I can’t look away, and I know Isaac can’t either. Jace is fuming, hardly holding it together as he tracks through the forest, growling and cursing, and I can’t deny it’s exhilarating.

Grabbing her after a fight was cheap, but seeing the way she bucks and kicks out, I’m glad Isaac suggested it. She really might be able to take Ozy, especially since he’s not giving his all the way he probably should be.

Tank is nothing if not a loyal soldier because he has no choice. Power is earned in many ways, and with him, it’s through keeping his family, those he couldn’t protect, safe.

He’s been in our debt for years now and will continue to be, probably for the rest of his life.

Really, if he weren’t so good at fighting and doing just about every other thing we need, I would have cut ties already.

Keeping his asshole stepfather behind bars is exhausting; he’s fought it tooth and nail every step of the way and somehow ended up with a pretty good lawyer, too.

And then there’s his mother’s medical bills, but I’m not even sure he knows about those. We would have paid those either way, as she’s a good friend of our mother.

I’m pulled from my mindless musing as her face scrunches up, and I see her eyes well with tears.

I want to watch him break her.

Leaning over the rows of keyboards and knobs that I don’t know shit about, I press one of the few buttons I do know.

“I want to see you fuck her, Tank,” I growl out as my cock pulses at just the thought, leaking and dying to be the one to sink into her warm heat.

Another time.

I reach down and adjust as Tank looks down at her, the camera embedded in his mask.

Fuck.

He’s got her pinned in the mud, hands above her head, both wrists enclosed in his one hand as she squirms and wiggles.

“I assure you, Little Fox, I’m a much better choice than the fucking psycho,” Tank hisses, and I’ve never been as fucking hard as I am right now watching them.

His fingers grip the hem of her oversized sweatshirt, tugging it up, and we take in the skin on display, the only thing covering her: those short fighting shorts.

Instead of pulling them down, he simply runs his hand up her thigh, and I grit my teeth against the rage it fills me with seeing him touch her.

His hand disappears, and a moment later, that rage doubles to the point where it’s almost suffocating me as he looks down, his hard cock pressed against her thigh.

He can apologize all he wants; clearly he’s enjoying himself.

Vixen, our dear little sister, fucked in the woods like the whore she is, the whore she will be, for us.

The urge to stop him rides me hard as I fight with my demons, wanting to be the one to ruin her.

But even as tears well in her eyes, I doubt this is the end.

Zela doesn’t strike me as someone who gives up easily; if she did, she wouldn’t be half as fun. Meaning we have more opportunities for it to be me.

I look to my brother and find him just as engrossed, maybe even more so.

When’s the last time someone interested Isaac this much? Never. Add in the fact that he kept her fucking secret all this time, and I’m pretty certain he’s just as hard for her as we are, probably both literally and figuratively.

Zela screams, a feral, primal sound ripped from somewhere deep inside that makes my mouth water. I watch as she gets one arm free before ripping his mask from his face and making him curse.

“I tried to be nice. I don’t want to do this, but I don’t have a choice! I won’t let them hurt the people I care about over a girl in the woods. Sorry, kid, but if it has to be you or me, I’m picking me.”

I can’t see; the mask now discarded in the mud. I strain my ears to get a hint of something, anything that might be happening, but all I hear is Tank’s heavy breathing.

No skin slapping, no struggling or crying, which means he’s not doing what he’s supposed to.

“Ozy…” Even without the camera, her voice echoes back to us, and I freeze.

Zela knows Ozy, not as Tank but without the mask.

The camera shifts, and I see just enough of Tank to watch him pull the mask from her face, the tears that track down her very dirty yet still somehow attractive face as he freezes, and somehow I know he’s not going to do it.

I slam down on the button so that he hears my voice. “Fuck her! If you want to keep your sister and mother safe from your piece-of-shit father, you will do as I say!”

Still, he doesn’t move, and my fist goes through the screen before I can think about it, as my rage boils over.

The pain centers me enough that when I blink, I see Isaac staring back at me, unimpressed, as I try to get my breathing under control.

It’s been a long time since I’ve lost myself. The last time Father broke my thumb to “teach me to control myself.” I feel the phantom pain throb through my hand and grit my teeth against it.

Even from the grave, he mocks me.

Taking a deep breath in through my nose, I hold it for five seconds before blowing it out and shaking my hand out, ensuring it won’t hinder me.

The sting is nothing but a nice reminder that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
