Chapter 23
Twenty-Three
Wesley
“I’ll be out in a second.”
That’s what Blair said before slipping into the bathroom to wash off Ledger’s blood from her hands and face.
That was forty-five minutes ago.
In that time, Rhett and Santi came upstairs with Ledger stumbling in-tow.
They helped him to his room and then slipped into Rhett’s before the light under the door went out.
I've made hot chocolate that has since grown cold. I’ve changed into my own pajamas, checked all the locks and security cameras around the property, and checked the wood burning stove to make sure the house stayed warm.
Still, Blair has not emerged.
Something’s wrong.
I step out of my room and cross the hall to the bathroom. Rather than knock, I lean against the door and listen. All that I hear is the sound of water running. No movement.
My knuckles rap on the door.
“Blair?”
There’s a pause—too long to bring me any type of assurance that everything’s okay. The water stops running and then comes the shuffling of feet.
“Be right out.”
I step back and lean against the adjacent wall, crossing my arms over my chest as I wait for Blair to emerge.
When she does, it’s only in a towel wrapped around her body.
Her hair drips as if she hasn’t even attempted to dry it.
Her face is so carefully blank that she could be a mannequin.
When our eyes meet, there’s no one there.
There’s just a dark emptiness that stretches on and on with no end in sight.
This won’t do.
“I’ll join you in a minute,” she says, her words lacking inflection.
She tries to move past me but I grab her wrist, preventing her from going any further.
“C’mon, to my room,” I urge gently.
“Wes, I need—”
I don’t let her finish. Bending down, I scoop Blair up and throw her over my shoulder. Her gasp is sharp and she stiffens but she doesn’t fight me as I carry her back into my room. I shut the door behind us and then gently place her on my bed.
She pushes herself to sit up and she glares at me but even that glare lacks anything human. Leaving her there, I move around my room.
“What are you doing?” she asks. “This isn’t funny. I need to grab my pajamas and dry off.”
I come back to stand in front of Blair with my towel, which was hanging behind my door, in hand.
“Lean forward,” I order.
Her eyes narrow. “Why?”
“Lean. Forward.”
I watch as she mentally calculates if it’s worth fighting me on this. With an annoyed huff she does as she’s told. I smile when her head hangs between her legs. Kneeling, I take the towel and gently wrap her hair up.
I take my time soaking up the water and massaging her scalp. When I’m done, I stand and return my towel to its hook on the door. I head for my dresser next and pull out a shirt and then grab some boxers for her to wear.
Blair says nothing.
She simply stares off into space.
When I come to sit down beside her, she doesn’t look at me. I place the articles of clothing on the other side on my bed and then rest my hand on her thigh.
“Baby girl, talk to me. What’s going on?”
“Nothing. It’s just been a long day.”
My teeth immediately gnash together. I suck a deep breath through my nose in an attempt to shove down my annoyance at her lack of communication and I try again.
“I understand you’ve been through a lot, but keeping everything you’re feeling in isn’t healthy, Blair. Talk to me. And if you lie,” I add quickly when Blair opens her mouth. “Know you’ll be punished.”
Blair’s bottom lip juts out as she glares across the room.
“What if I don’t want to talk about it?”
“I wouldn’t push this if I didn’t think it was important, baby girl. Talk to me. I’m here to listen, not judge.”
At this, she finally looks over at me. The tension in her shoulders eases just a little so that they lower an inch.
“I cut Ledger tonight,” she says.
I nod. “I kind of assumed that since you came out of that room unharmed yet covered in blood.”
My teasing makes one side of her mouth twitch into an almost-smile. It fades as her eyes slide away from me.
“I… I kind of feel bad about it now.”
It’s a reasonable thing to say after hurting someone, especially someone as close as Ledger has been to Blair all these years. And if I wasn’t so attuned to the woman beside me, I would accept that it’s guilt that’s bothering her.
But I do know her better.
Her stillness, the lack of inflection that continues to cling to her voice, and the emptiness that she’s trying to hold onto—they’re all Blair’s little tells.
She’s lying.
The only warning Blair gets is a heavy sigh. Then I’m yanking her over my lap.
“What the—AH!”
My hand cracks against her ass, hard.
“What did I say about lying?” I ask her, my voice calm as I press into the place where I struck, making the sting burn.
“I wasn’t lying! I—”
My hand cracks against her ass again, then again, and again. After four spanks, Blair is trying to climb off me. I brace my other arm across her back so she can’t go anywhere.
“Stop it, Wes!” she snarls.
“Why are you lying, baby girl? Didn’t I say I was here to listen, not judge?” I ask her. “Whatever you’re holding back, just let it off your chest.”
“You don’t need to know everything that I think and feel,” Blair informs me.
“You’re right, I don’t,” I agree as I gently rub the reddening spots on her ass.
“But when it’s causing you to shut down like this, I’m going to push.
You can’t hide from your emotions, it’s not healthy.
I used alcohol to do the same thing. Trust me when I say the only way to handle them is to experience them. So, talk now. Let it out now.”
Blair shakes her head. “I don’t want to.”
Another lie.
If Blair didn’t want to talk, she wouldn’t be letting me do this to her. She could easily fight against this but she’s not. It’s like she wants to be punished.
Good thing I’m here to fulfill her desires.
This time, my hand comes down over and over. I don’t hold back. If Blair wants to be punished, I’ll give it to her. Blair cries out and protests, thrashes and curses me out. But I don’t stop.
My heart races and my breathing grows ragged.
No doubt she can feel my dick press into her stomach.
She can’t blame me for getting off on this.
I’m just a man and there’s a beautiful woman draped over my lap and her ass is jiggling so delightfully with each strike that lands on it.
And her arousal? I can smell it as it perfumes the air.
By the time I’ve landed the twelfth smack against her ass, we’re both breathing hard. Blair whimpers as she goes slack in my lap.
I give us both a minute to catch our breath. When I’ve regained mine, I gently rub the very red marks on her ass cheeks. Blair flinches but then lets out a sigh.
“Want to talk now?” I ask her.
“Fine.”
“Good girl,” I praise as I help her sit up.
Rather than let her sit on the bed, I have Blair sit on my lap. She curls up against my chest, tucking her head beneath my neck. When my arms wrap around her, Blair hums with contentment.
There’s a pause. I give it to her, knowing she probably needs to collect her thoughts. When she finally speaks, her answer is more aligned with what I know of her.
“I-I’m not sorry I carved into Ledger.”
I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from smiling. “Oh?”
“He deserved it,” she continues. “I wanted him to hurt and I don’t feel bad about it at all.” To my surprise, she snickers. “I should’ve ungagged him to hear his screams.”
I laugh softly in response to her confession.
“Is this what you were worried about telling me?” I ask. “That you enjoyed your revenge? Baby girl, you live under a roof with serial killers. A little knife play isn’t going to bother anyone.”
“Well… I told you all that I just wanted to talk to him,” she hedges. “And I did a little more than that.”
I snort. “I don’t think anyone is going to hold this against you.”
Smiling, I lift her off my lap and twist to lay her on her stomach horizontally on my bed. She starts to sit up but I push her back down.
“Stay,” I order as I pull open her legs and settle between them.
“What are you doing?”
“Rewarding you, baby girl,” I push her towel up, over her hips, before I hike her thighs over my forearms. The move pushes her ass and pussy up into my face. “You finally opened up, now you’ll get a reward for that.”
“Reward, how—oh!”
My tongue runs through her pussy all the way back to her backdoor. The answering full body spasm and hearty moan gets me even harder.
“Do my punishments turn you on, baby girl?” I ask, breathing against her pussy.
A shiver works down Blair’s body.
“Yes,” she says breathlessly.
I hum in approval.
Without waiting to stretch this out any longer for the both of us, I get to work eating Blair out from behind.
I eat like a starving man.
Her arousal is rich and delicious, flavor exploding on my tongue like a three-star Michelin meal. A deep, pleased rumble reverberates through me as I sink my tongue deep into Blair’s pussy.
“Oh, shit, Wes!” Blair cries out. Her groan is followed by her shoving her pussy back into my face.
Blair rocks and moans. My favorite sound is when she cries out my name. Sometimes it’s a chant, other times it’s a curse. My second favorite sound is her whimper of need. It’s cute which is at odds with the woman it comes from.
She comes undone on my tongue. Her cry is choked off as she buries her face in my sheets, but I don’t need vocal confirmation that I’ve done a good job. Her body shakes hard as she rocks her hips back. And her pussy?
It drenches the lower half of my face as Blair finds her release.
It’s not until she’s limp that I pull my face from between her legs.
“Holy shit…” she murmurs as she turns her head to look back at me as I rise to my knees.
I wipe my mouth with my forearm. “C’mon, let’s get to bed.”
“Wait, what?” she spreads her legs further, pushes up her ass, and wiggles it enticingly at me. “What about you?”
Grinning, I grab the clothes I’d picked out for her that lay on the bed and throw them at her. “Tonight is about you, Blair.”
Blair frowns as she sits up. “This entire time that I’ve been here has been about me. I don’t need all this attention or coddling.”
“It’s not coddling,” I tell her. “It’s called caring. And you will always be the center of my attention. Even when all of this trouble coming after you dies down. Got it?”
Before she can respond, there’s a soft thump against my door.
“Get those on, I’ll shoo away Santiago,” I tell her.
She smiles and discards her towel. I take a second to drink in her body before sliding off the bed and making my way over to the door.
I open it quickly, expecting to catch Santi off guard as he listens in but to my surprise, it’s Rhett sitting on the other side of the door.
He nearly falls into my room as he rocks back but catches himself. He looks up at me from the floor.
“Sorry,” he mutters. “I wasn’t eavesdropping.”
I raise a curious brow. “Then what were you doing?”
The tips of his ears turn red as he jerks his face away from me and wraps his arms around his knees. “Just keeping trouble away from your door.”
Trouble? I peer out of my room and down the hall towards Ledger’s room. The door’s shut and it’s quiet.
“Do you think he’ll try anything? Did he say some—”
“I don’t know what he’s capable of or what he plans on doing now that he’s free,” Rhett interrupts, his voice gruff. “And it’s the unknown keeping me awake. So just… let me sit here, okay? I’ll alert the both of you if he tries anything.”
“Alright,” I concede. “Want a pillow or—?”
“I’m fine,” he snaps.
With a nod, I shut the door and turn to face Blair. She looks anxiously at the door then back at me. She’s clearly just as confused as I am about his presence there.
With a sigh, I make my way back over to her and climb into the bed. She takes one pillow and I take the other. She lowers herself onto the bed and I curl up around her, nearly crushing her.
“He’ll be okay,” I murmur into her ear. “And if not, I’ll spank him, too.”
Blair’s body shakes as she giggles.
“Goodnight, Wes,” she says once it dies down.
I kiss the back of her neck. “Goodnight, baby girl.”
