Chapter 25
Lillian
“My day has been filled with firsts,” I tell Bryson as we exit the bathroom later that night.
The man is so attentive that he made me sit on his lap at the table and fed me.
We shared a bowl and a spoon. He never let me touch the utensils.
If that’s not Daddy behavior, I don’t know what is.
Do all Little girls get spoiled by their Daddies like this?
I suspect Simone and Natasha do. I don’t have anyone else to compare myself with.
I’m wearing one of the nearly see-through, sexy nighties I brought with me. I might have been out of sorts when we were packing, but not so much that I didn’t think to pack lingerie.
“What’s new to you this time, Baby?” he asks as he pulls the covers back.
“Sleeping with someone. I’m not sure I can.”
“You will.” He pats the bed. “Get in, naughty girl, before that damn lingerie kills me.”
I grin as I climb onto the bed. He’s wearing loose black silk boxers, and his cock is tenting them. I love that I do that to him.
As I crawl toward the opposite side of the bed, he grabs my ankle and hauls me back into the middle. “Where do you think you’re going?”
“To the other side?”
“Nope. Your side is the middle.” He turns off the light and climbs in next to me before manhandling me onto my side so he can spoon me from behind.
I’m trapped once he has his arm around my chest and one leg tossed over both of mine. His lips come to my neck, and his evening beard growth tickles me.
“You’re not planning to hold me like this for long, are you?”
“About fifty years.”
I laugh. “That’s a long time. How about fifteen minutes?”
“Nope. All night.”
“I’ll never fall asleep.”
“You will,” he tells me again. “I promise. You’ll get used to it. Eventually, you’ll be so accustomed to having me hold you in your sleep that you won’t be able to get comfortable without my arms around you.”
“Is this a thing with you? Snuggling?”
He lifts his head and tips my chin back to look into my eyes. This is made possible by the nightlight he plugged into the wall because the man is so thoughtful that he didn’t want me to wake up confused in the middle of the night.
His expression is serious. “At the risk of sounding like the oddest thirty-five-year-old man you’ve ever met, I’ve rarely slept in the same bed as a woman.
It’s been a number of years since the last time, and I’ve never snuggled with anyone until you.
This isn’t a me thing. It’s an us thing.
It feels natural. I need my hands on you.
I want to touch as much of you as possible. ”
I swallow. “Okay. Do you have a small-sized hard hat?”
His brows furrow as he cocks his head to the side. “For what?”
“For me to wear at the job site tomorrow,” I joke. “And what are your employees going to say when you drag me around, unable to keep your hands off me?”
He snickers. “Naughty girl.” He settles back down behind me. “Go to sleep before I break the promise I made to myself.”
“What promise is that?” I love sparring with this man.
“Not to fuck you again tonight.” He grips my breast and squeezes. “So stop wiggling your bottom against my cock.”
“If the punishment for squirming against you is that you will make love to me again, I don’t think it’s going to be very effective.” I rock my ass against him.
He pinches my nipple hard.
I gasp.
“Mmm. Are you going to be good?”
I consider his words. I’m not sure how I feel about him gripping my tit. Maybe I like it. But then he pinches harder, and I gasp. “Yes, Daddy. I’ll be good.”
He releases the offended bud and thrums his fingers over it as if to soothe it. All it does is make me horny. “Daddy…” I moan.
He chuckles and moves his hand to cup my breast, leaving my nipple to recover. “Sleep, Baby,” he whispers, but his fingers are still grazing my breast, and his breath is on my neck, and his scent is in every inhale, and his huge, hard body is wrapped around me. Sleep? He’s delusional.
I can’t control my breathing. Every time I try to inhale deeply to slow my racing heart, all I do is draw in more of him. I know he’s not sleeping either. After a while, I say, “Do you think my mom left Seattle?”
“She did. I made sure of it.”
My breath hitches. “You did?”
“Yes. I called Blade at Black Blade Protection while you were with Simone. He had one of his men make sure she was on the plane. Someone was also watching your parents’ house in Chicago this evening. I got a text letting me know they saw her arrive.”
“Bryson…”
“What, sweet girl?”
“That sounds expensive. Hiring all those people?”
He strokes my breast again. “Lillian, I will not have anyone threatening you. Not ever. I will do whatever it takes to make sure it doesn’t happen.
I don’t care what it costs. And for the record, I know I don’t make the kind of money you probably have in your trust fund, but it’s more than enough to live comfortably and keep you safe.
I don’t want us to argue about money. I know you don’t care about how much I have, and even if I had ten billion dollars, you wouldn’t want to live the kind of life you were raised in, so it will never matter.
Your trust fund can stay where it is. If anything ever happens to me, you’ll have it and everything I own.
I will breathe easier knowing I will never have to worry about you being taken care of.
If you don’t like this house or this neighborhood, we’ll move.
If you want to live somewhere more lavish, that’s fine.
If you want to live somewhere less ostentatious, that’s also fine.
When you figure it out, we’ll deal with it.
It makes no difference to me. I don’t care where I live as long as it’s with you. We good on that?”
I twist around in his embrace so I’m facing him and wrap my arms around his neck. “I love you.”
He smiles. “That’s convenient.”
I search his eyes. All I see is love. There’s no reason for us to disagree about money. Neither of us cares about it. It can stay in a bank account in case we need it. “I only care about being with you, too, Daddy. I don’t care where. I like your house. I don’t see any reason to change it.”
“You might decide otherwise if we have ten kids, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to number five or six.”
My eyes bug out, and I freeze. “Uh… Are you serious?”
He chuckles. “Whatever you want, sweet girl.”
“I want to not think about babies for a very long time.”
“Excellent. See? I told you we were on the same page. I’m too selfish to share you for a very long time.”
I blow out a relieved breath. “I wasn’t sure when you started pushing your come back into me.”
He grins. “That was just me being a possessive caveman. I like the idea of you filled with my come. That doesn’t mean I want any of my swimmers to get down to business.
” He slides his hand up my back and into my hair.
“However, so you know, if you should ever get pregnant unexpectedly, we would deal with it, and I would be both a father to our children and your Daddy.”
“When was our first date?”
“Really? Seems like two years ago.”
He pulls me against him and hugs me tight. “It really does. And that’s okay. When you know, you know.”
