Chapter 28 #2

He bites down on his lower lip and trails his eyes down my body. It heats my blood to the point that I’m positive I don’t care what any of these cameras get shots of. “I might need a bathroom break,” he mutters under his breath, voice low enough that only I can hear.

I hum. “Me too.”

The words hang between us, heavy and full of promise.

Kai’s eyes flick up to meet mine again. The heat in them is unmistakable. He sets the water bottle down without drinking from it and nods toward the side exit of the room.

We slip away together during the next short break, moving like it’s casual, like we’re just stretching our legs. The second the bathroom door closes behind us and the lock clicks, the pretense drops.

I push him against the wall, mouth crashing into his. Kai kisses me back just as hard, hands fisting in my shirt, pulling me closer. The kiss is messy and urgent, all teeth and tongue and the leftover adrenaline from the meet-and-greet.

“Fuck, I’ve been dying to touch you properly,” I growl against his lips, hands sliding under his shirt to feel warm skin.

Kai moans softly into my mouth, hips rolling against mine. “Then touch me.”

My hand slips down to palm him through his jeans. He’s already half-hard. I squeeze, stroking him firmly, and he bites back a groan, head falling back against the wall.

We don’t have long. Someone could knock any second. And I’m positive we will be missed.

But right now, with Kai’s breath coming fast and his hands gripping my shoulders, I don’t care.

I drop to my knees, fingers working his zipper open. Kai’s hand threads into my hair, holding on as I pull his cock free and take him into my mouth in one smooth motion.

He curses under his breath, hips jerking. I suck him deep, tongue working the underside, and swirling into his slit, tasting the salt of his skin. The sounds he makes—low and broken, trying so hard to stay quiet—go straight to my own cock.

I work him fast and dirty, one hand stroking what my mouth can’t reach, the other gripping his thigh to keep him steady. Kai’s fingers tighten in my hair, breath coming in sharp pants.

“Luca—fuck—I’m close—”

I hum around him, sucking harder, and he comes with a choked groan, hips stuttering as he spills down my throat. I swallow every drop, milking him through it until he’s trembling.

When I pull off, I stand and kiss him again, letting him taste himself on my tongue. Kai kisses me back like he’s starving for it, hands already reaching for my zipper.

Before he can get far, there’s a knock on the door.

“Five minutes!” Michael’s voice calls, amused. “Whatever you’re doing in there, finish up. Tasha’s about to send a search party.”

Kai doesn’t even hesitate.

“I can make you come in four,” he whispers. He shifts us, pushing me back against the wall and drops to his knees in one smooth motion.

My head hits the tile with a soft thud as he yanks my jeans open. He doesn’t tease. He takes me deep in one go, hot mouth wrapping tight around my cock, tongue pressing hard along the underside. His fingers reach between my legs to grip my balls, rolling them over his fingers.

“Fuck—” I hiss, one hand flying to his hair.

Kai works me fast, head bobbing, cheeks hollowing. The wet, obscene sounds of his mouth fill the small bathroom. He looks up at me through his lashes, eyes dark and determined, like he’s on a mission.

I’m already so worked up from the meet-and-greet teasing that it doesn’t take long. The velvet feel of his mouth around me is too much.

“Princess—I’m—”

He doesn’t pull off. He takes me deeper, throat relaxing, and hums a happy sound around me.

I come hard, hips jerking, spilling down his throat with an embarrassingly loud moan. He swallows as much as he can, pulling off with some leaking from the corner of his mouth. He thumbs it into his mouth, sucking it off of his finger as though it’s a meal he’s savoring.

He licks his lips as he stands. His eyes are a little glassy, lips swollen and shiny. I probably look similar. We kiss again, both satisfied.

“Three minutes and forty seconds,” he murmurs against my mouth, voice smug. “Told you.”

I laugh breathlessly, still trying to recover, and pull him into another kiss.

We straighten our clothes as fast as we can, both of us flushed and breathing hard. Kai gives me one last heated look before we unlock the door and step out like nothing happened.

Michael is waiting in the hallway, arms crossed, wearing the most knowing smirk I’ve ever seen.

“Four minutes,” he says, tapping his watch. “Impressive. Tasha’s waiting.”

Kai blushes so hard I’m sure he can feel the heat in his cheeks. I grin and sling my arm around his shoulders as we walk back into the meet-and-greet just in time for the break to be over.

“Where did you two disappear to?” Tasha asks the second we slide back into our chairs, next to each other this time.

We share a small, private smile but don’t answer her question.

The line starts moving again. Fans step up one by one, excited and bright-eyed. Most of them are sweet, asking about our songs, and telling us how much we mean to them.

Then a girl in her late teens steps up to our section of the table. She’s holding her phone out, clearly recording.

“Hi,” she says, a little nervous but determined. “I’m a huge fan. Can I ask you both something?”

I nod. “Sure.”

She glances between us, then leans in a little closer, phone still pointed at us.

“Are you two actually together? Like… for real? Not just for the cameras? There are rumors that it might be fan-service.”

The usual scripted answer sits on my tongue out of habit, but before I can say anything, Kai speaks.

His voice is quiet but steady.

“Yeah,” he says. “We are. For real.”

I turn to look at him, surprised. Normally, I’m the one who handles the PR stuff while Kai just goes along with it. This time, he’s the one who said it first.

The girl’s eyes widen. “Oh my God, really?”

Kai nods, a small, shy smile tugging at his lips. “Really.” He leans toward me and captures my lips in a quick kiss, before turning back to her. “Proof enough for you?”

She squeals softly, phone shaking a little in her hand. “That’s… that’s amazing. You guys look so happy together. Thank you for telling me.”

She gets her photo and autograph, still beaming as she walks away.

The second she’s gone, I lean closer to Kai, voice low enough that only he can hear.

“You just told a fan we’re together and kissed me. On camera.”

Kai’s cheeks are still pink, but he doesn’t look regretful. He shrugs, the corner of his mouth lifting.

“Felt right,” he says simply. “I’m tired of pretending when it’s not pretend anymore.”

My chest warms. I reach under the table and brush my fingers against his thigh, a quick, secret touch. Kai’s hand finds mine under the table and squeezes once, firm and warm, before letting go.

We turn back to the line. The rest of the meet-and-greet passes in a blur of smiles, photos, and more fans who clearly caught the moment on their phones.

The energy in the room has shifted, it’s brighter, more charged.

Whispers and excited squeals ripple through the queue as they chat with each other about what they witnessed.

And Kai and I can’t seem to keep our hands off of each other.

By the time the last fan leaves, I’m buzzing.

Michael walks over as we stand up, shaking his head with a grin.

“You two are ridiculous,” he says. “That kiss is already all over TikTok. Harry’s probably planning for more.”

Kai shrugs, looking surprisingly unbothered. “Let him. But we are only doing what feels natural to us both.”

I sling my arm around Kai’s shoulders as we head toward the exit, pulling him close for a moment.

“Ready to go back to the hotel, princess?” I murmur against his ear.

Kai turns his head just enough to brush his lips against my jaw. His voice is low, flirty, and full of promise. “Very ready.”
