BONUS EPILOGUE #5
After a cursory shower in which nearly all of my body weight was held up by the large, rumbling man I was glued to while he washed us both clean, warm, cotton sheets surrounded me, and I snuggled into his arms.
I blinked my eyes open as the world came into focus. Our bedroom was dark, lit only by the faint, orange glow of a corner lamp left on. Wind battered sheets of ice and snow against the panes of glass, but I didn’t feel the cold.
