15. Vani #2

Darius moaned into my pussy, and the vibration from his mouth made me tremble.

I lifted up a bit, and he looped his arms underneath my thighs and held me in place.

His tongue flickered over my clit, and my chest heaved up and down.

I was on the brink, and my God it felt good.

It felt so good, I was afraid of what was to come, and I once again tried to lift up to escape Darius’ tongue.

That only made him hold onto me tighter and suck my pussy feverishly.

“Oh, my fucking shit!” my body jerked as I released all over his face. The first release I had in over three years that wasn’t self-induced, and it made a tear creep from the corner of my eye. I couldn’t believe I was crying.

“Ummm.” Every time Darius moaned into my pussy, my body jerked.

Finally, with a gentle smack to my ass, he released his hold on me, and I lifted up. My ass had barely touched the sheet before Darius was hovering over me with one quick motion. The way he was staring at me, caused all the saliva in my mouth to dry up.

“Don’t start doing the most,” I warned. “This is fun. That’s it.”

“Shut the fuck up,” Darius damn near growled before shoving his tongue into my mouth.

Using his body, he pushed me back onto the bed, while pushing his boxer briefs down and freeing his manhood.

My eyes closed, and I squeezed them tight as he pushed into me.

Even though he was being gentle, it damn near felt like he was ripping me in two.

Once he was all the way inside, he moaned too.

Pulling back, he released my lips and lowered his head, so he could run his tongue back and forth over my nipple.

My moans mingled with his as he started off with slow, deep strokes.

When his head lifted, and he stared into my eyes, I had to turn my head.

Darius gripped my chin and turned my face back toward him. “Stop,” I demanded in an assertive tone, and he just smirked.

“I’ll never stop.” Darius gave my lips three quick pecks before pinning my arms above my head and unleashing the beast. “You want to have fun? I got some fun for yo’ ass,” he promised as he fucked the taste out of my mouth.

When a second orgasm ripped through my core like a tornado on the loose, my moans turned almost into screams. I had never in life experienced a release so intense and satisfying.

Darius groaned as he released with me. When it was all said and done, we didn’t bother to untangle our bodies for at least two full minutes.

Even then, I still hadn’t come down off my orgasmic high, and my heart was still racing.

Darius peeled his body off mine, stood up, and went into the bathroom.

All I could do was stare at the ceiling and try and process what had just happened to my body.

And soul. I lost track of all concept of time and had no idea how long Darius was in the bathroom.

When he emerged, I still hadn’t moved a muscle.

As he got dressed, I finally sat up and watched him.

When he was fully clothed, Darius leaned in and placed a kiss on my lips.

“Hope you had fun lil’ nigga.”

I stared after him as he walked away. That man was a pain in my ass and the crazy part was, it was a pain that felt so damn good I wanted to keep enduring it.

I hated death. Hated dead bodies, hated the grief that occurred because of death.

I hated funerals. But I was walking into the funeral home to pay my respects to Wally and his family.

I wasn’t attending the funeral because I had hair appointments lined up, but I was going to view the body.

I had also sent flowers. I met Wally a handful of times when I was with Darius, and he went to serve Wally.

He was a very nice person, and I knew Darius looked at him like a second father.

News of his death shocked me, and Darius was the first person I thought of.

Then, his wife and kids. I had no intricate details, but I knew he was murdered.

Found on the side of the road with more than ten stab wounds.

I hated that for him. It had been six days since I saw or talked to Darius.

After we had sex, it was impossible to keep him off my mind, but I refused to reach out to him.

He hadn’t reached out to me either, but I didn’t take it personal.

I actually preferred it that way. It would be way too easy for me to get caught up in the rapture that was Darius. I needed distance.

Inside the room where Wally’s casket sat, there were about twenty people sprinkled about.

I had met his wife once, and I recognized her immediately.

She was talking to an older woman, and I could tell she’d been crying for days.

Her eyes were puffy, and she looked weary.

She recognized me too because she gave me a small smile as she stepped away from the woman and approached me.

“Vani, right?”

I smiled and gave a curt nod. “Yes ma’am. I’m so sorry for your loss.”

“Thank you, dear. I appreciate it.” She gave me another smile before rubbing my arm and stepping away.

I didn’t know anyone else that was present, so I turned and faced the casket.

I would take a peek at Wally then leave.

I could see him from where I was standing, and I honestly didn’t know if I wanted to go further.

I had only been to three funerals in my life, and I hated them.

It didn’t matter who was dead. I hated them all.

Finally, I inched forward and made my way over to the casket.

Tears burned my eyes as I stared at his heavily made up face.

He looked off with foundation caked onto his face, but he didn’t look bad.

Memories of him and Darius joking and talking shit to one another filled my brain, and a sad smile inched across my face.

When I felt like I had enough, I turned to leave.

My heart galloped in my chest when I saw Darius standing by the door talking to Wally’s wife.

Standing off to the side holding a sleeping child was Bree.

The way my chest tightened, I almost wondered if I was having a heart attack.

Ignoring the discomfort, I watched Bree as she stood there.

She had always been pretty. Her hair was in a pixie cut making her old ass look even more mature than she was, but she was pretty.

Her face had a light beat, and she was dressed in a simple black wrap dress.

Darius’ gaze lifted, and we locked eyes for a brief moment.

I could see the sadness in his and while I felt for him, I hated him too.

Once again, this bitch was somewhere around him.

And she would be for the next sixteen or so years. Fuck him and fuck Bree.

My gut twisted as I held my head high and walked toward the exit. I passed them as I walked out of the door. Holding my breath, I took the ten or so steps out of the building. Once the fresh air hit my face, I finally exhaled.

“Vani!”

Even after Darius called my name, I kept walking.

“Vani!”

After inhaling deeply through my nose, I turned around. I didn’t like the fact that seeing his daughter hurt me. I didn’t want him to know that, and I didn’t want Bree to know that. Keeping my expression neutral, I watched him as he walked in my direction.

“You not gon’ speak? Check on a nigga or nothing?” his irises darted back and forth across my face, and he looked truly hurt.

“Darius be for real. You’re with your baby mama. Why would I stop and check on you?”

“Because we’re supposed to be like that. You know how close I was to Wally. You never pegged me for being selfish Lavani but got damn.” Darius shook his head. “I’ve been drinking, and Bree didn’t want me to drive. That’s it and that’s all. But you, you don’t give a fuck. Yet, I keep choosing you.”

“You keep choosing me?” I asked perplexed. “How? When? When did you choose me, Darius? After I got out of prison because you bought me some shit?”

“You ungrateful as fuck,” he stepped toward me with flaring nostrils. “I’ve chosen you since day one. You were just too fucked up to see that shit. I’m sorry that my daughter is a sore spot for you, but that lil’ girl is mine. I love her. And that’s what it is.”

With a frown, I looked him up and down. “You’re supposed to love her, goofy. The fuck? I know you loved Wally. I came here to pay my respects. I’m not trying to beef with you or disregard your feelings. I’m simply trying to leave.”

“On my mama, I’ve been trying. I tried to make things right. I tried to apologize. I’ve done everything I know to do. You’re just determined not to fuck with a nigga, and I’m not going to keep begging. Do you, Lavani. I don’t give a fuck no more.”

“Thank you!” I yelled as he turned his back on me. “About fucking time.”

Darius continued to walk away, and I stood there fuming blinking away tears.

The fuck was he mad at me for? I hadn’t seen her face, but I was willing to bet money that his daughter was adorable.

She probably had the cutest smile and the chubbiest cheeks.

The fact that he loved her more than life itself was a given.

She was innocent, but I couldn’t help it that I felt some kind of way.

Knowing that Bree was her mother, hurt. I didn’t know how to get around that.

I was supposed to be focused on money and getting myself together.

I had cried enough in prison and if there was one thing I learned it was that crying didn’t change anything.

In a perfect world, I’d be able to get past Darius’ daughter.

Her existence wouldn’t bother me, and neither would Bree’s presence in Darius’ life.

But the world was far from perfect, and I had to accept that.
