Chapter 30

CHAPTER THIRTY

They made it to the motel in one piece despite Akai blowing him while he was driving on the freeway.

Cole was torn between annoyance and lust. The drive had been interesting.

He’d learned more about Akai’s family and the solstice gathering, but he’d also experienced the looks he got being seen with what other humans saw as an oversized and potentially dangerous dog.

Because he knew what he was looking at, he saw Akai on all fours, and it seemed ridiculous that he had ever mistaken Akai for a wolf.

If hiding in plain sight bothered Akai, he didn’t show it.

Cole dropped his bag on the floor of the motel room and went back to the truck to grab Akai’s bag of gold and gems. They had arrived after dark, and he’d checked in while Akai remained hidden in the truck.

While the door was open, Akai slid out and crouched between the truck and a car, ready to follow him to the room.

Cole locked the truck and walked the couple of yards to the motel room door. As he put the key in the door, a light flared over the office. He turned even though he knew it was the distraction Akai had talked about.

“Open the door,” Akai hissed as he pressed against the door, making Cole’s shadow look much larger than it should have been.

He blinked and opened the door, and Akai tumbled inside, pulling Cole with him.

They didn’t get very far as Akai pushed him against the door and kissed him, sliding his tongue into his mouth like Cole was the air he was gasping to breathe.

Cole dropped the bag and melted against the door, unwilling to even try to escape.

Even though he didn’t see how they could ever be together, he didn’t want to walk away either. He wanted everything before it all fell apart because he needed to return to his life. This was an unscheduled break that neither of them had expected.

“I have been waiting all day to do that.” Akai’s hand slid under Cole’s shirt.

“Mmm.” He lifted his arms so Akai could pull the shirt off, then cupped Akai’s face, the gray hair silky against his skin. Akai had been waiting all day for more than a kiss.

His fingers worked open Cole’s jeans and pushed them down with his briefs.

“Let me get my shoes off.” But he didn’t get the chance to take them off as Akai lifted him and dropped him on the bed. His legs were still trapped by his jeans, feet in the air as Akai’s dick thrust between his thighs.

Cole lifted his head, watching as the pale head retreated and reappeared.

His own dick went from half interested to fully hard even though ten minutes ago he’d been done from a long day of driving.

He grabbed his dick, keeping time with Akai’s thrusts.

When he lifted his gaze, Akai was watching, cheek resting against Cole’s ankle.

Akai thrust a couple more times and came, spilling over Cole’s hand and dick, lower belly, and thighs. Cole felt the tension drain out of him as Akai leaned against him, and his grip softened. But he never looked away. “Come for me.”

Cole moved his hand faster; each stroke now slick with Akai’s cum. He closed his eyes and gave in, not sure how he could ever go back to dating human men. He lay there breathing fast, cum drying on his skin.

Akai kissed Cole’s ankle. “I will get a towel.”

“Good idea.” But this was not a good idea. It was going to lead to hurt and heartache. How had he ended up in a situationship with a monster and an expiry date?
