Chapter 6

Breeze

It was early Christmas morning, and we were already up, opening gifts.

As usual, my pops had shown out, gifting a few fits, the new Jay’s, and two racks to put in my pocket.

Array had looked out too, buying a nigga some Balenciaga clothes and shoes.

And when our parents were preoccupied, me and Summer exchanged gifts.

No cap, I wasn’t expecting her to come this hard. She’d gotten me the HP Zbook Ultra that ran a cool three racks. I was lit, because I told myself that I’d buy one as a graduation gift, and she’d copped that, like it was nothing. Knowing that I was a tech nigga.

Keeping it real, after her gift, I figured that it couldn’t be topped, but I couldn’t tell, based off her reaction to my gifts.

I gotten her a custom name plate and necklace.

It read: Summer The Mf Author. A custom t-shirt with some character visuals I’d stolen off the Facebook page she didn’t think I knew about.

A custom neon light sign with her pen name to hang up in her bedroom.

And a Moncler fit for the day that matched my own.

Sitting on the floor, Indian style, with her long hair pulled up in a bun, still clad in pajamas, she was smiling big, as she nodded in approval. “Now, that’s how you do it for muthafuckin’ Christmas!”

“Is that right?” I lifted my chin.

“Yep.” She glanced around, before easing off the floor.

Lifting a hand, she curled a finger, signaling for me to follow her.

We quietly tipped upstairs, went into our bathroom, after locking both of our rooms. She dropped down to her knees.

After reaching into my pajamas, she pulled my dick out, took me into her mouth, before sucking it, like her life depended on it.

Standing back, I watched her swallow my dick whole, while dribble slid down her chin. She was cuffing my balls, seemingly making love with her mouth, until her cell vibrated on the counter.

Glancing down, I saw that it was Array calling.

“Here.” I huffed out, as I handed the phone to her.

She allowed my dick to plop out of her mouth, and answered on speaker.

“Hello?”

“Uh…where did you disappear to?” Array enquired.

“Upstairs.” Summer bit her lip, as she now held my hard dick in her hand.

“Okay…well, you have company down here.”

She frowned. “Company?”

“Yes. Come see.” Array ended the call.

After releasing my dick, Summer climbed to her feet. “Well, let me go see who this is.”

I nodded, as she twisted out of the bathroom. Not wanting to be too obvious, I waited a few minutes, before I stepped out into the hallway myself.

I probably should’ve gone to my bedroom to make it seem like we weren’t together when she got that call, but curiosity got the best of me. So, I headed downstairs.

Once I was about to move past the foyer, I realized that Harlem was the company in question. Him and Summer were still standing at the door, hugging. I also peeped that she was now holding a gift bag that he’d obviously just brought. All while she’d come downstairs with my dick fresh on her breath.

“You coming down to the house later on?” Harlem asked, as they released one another.

She nodded. “Yeah. I’ma come.”

He grabbed her hand, and gazed into her eyes. “You promise? Cause I haven’t laid eyes on you, since school ended. I miss you.”

Gritting my teeth, I was about to approach them, and break up their little moment, until I felt a strong hand on my shoulder.

“Get out them people’s business.” My pops spoke in my ear.

“Huh?” I frowned, irritated out my mind, as he was interrupting my next move.

“Come on, son.” He guided me away from the foyer. We paused once we were standing near the stairs. “What’s up with chu?”

I scowled. “What chu talking about?”

“I’m talking about the fact that it looked like you was ready to tackle one of your closest friends, just now. What the hell is that all about?”

I slid my tongue across my teeth, while saying nothing.

He shook his head. “Look at you. Can’t even pretend. You been around here, fucking the shit out of Summer.”

My eyes ballooned in surprise.

“Nigga, don’t look like that,” he whispered. “What? You thought that you was being slick? Shit, I might’ve been born at night. But not last night. You muthafuckas be getting loud with it too. I heard y’all clear as day yesterday, before I left.”

Not knowing what to say, I scratched my forehead.

“But you gotta keep it P, man. That’s Harlem’s gal, and you’d be dead wrong to come at him over her.

” He glanced over his shoulder. “And I don’t know what’s your aim, but don’t make this shit messy, and cause confusion between me and Array.

If you just doing some shit, then keep it on the low.

And if you really want her, then make sure that she wants you too.

That means that you don’t force her to choose. She gotta do that on her own.”

“I hear you,” I breathed.

He creased his brows. “You strapping up, right?”

I nodded.

He hooded his eyes. “Don’t lie to me, lil’ nigga.”

“Pops, I got this.”

“Alright. I’ma take your word. For now. Just remember what I said.”

I nodded, before heading upstairs, with a bunch of shit on my mind.

Summer

After Harlem left, I stood in the foyer, thinking.

Truthfully, seeing him made me realize that I wasn’t in love.

He was just…cool. Handsome with a bright future.

So, I’d been sensible when choosing him…

but much like the books I used to sneak and read said…

I wanted a love that set my soul on fire…

although actually having that might be more than I could handle.

Anyway, as I attempted to clear my head, I found myself examining the gifts he’d bought me.

I’d sent him a gift card for Dick’s Sporting Goods via mail, and he’d questioned why hadn’t I delivered it in-person.

I told him that I’d been busy running around with my mama, so I ordered the gift card online. He didn’t seem to buy that, but hey.

Nevertheless, as I dug into the gift bag, I saw that he’d bought a YSL perfume set, equipped with the perfume, travel bottle, and lotion. And then there was a Louie keychain.

I don’t know. Up until recently, I would’ve given him all the praise for getting those gifts, considering that he was a 17-year-old high schooler.

But now…the gifts felt impersonal. No thought behind it.

Nothing about it was personalized, highlighting how he knew me.

It was just random things that I could’ve easily grabbed for myself.

Anyway, after leaving the bag in the living room, I headed back upstairs. Once I was ambling down the hallway, I saw Breeze exiting his room.

I was smiling, until he tried to stroll past me. I grabbed his forearm. “Where you going?”

“Mannn,” he drawled, before jerking out of my grasp.

“Man, what?” I grabbed his arm this time.

“Summer, don’t you got a nigga to tend to?”

Sucking my teeth, I aggressively pulled him into his room, and closed the door behind us.

“Okay, now what the fuck is the problem?” I released his arm.

“You.” He glared down at me.

“Me?” I pointed at my chest.

“Yeah.” He angrily nodded.

Looking at him, I could tell that he was heated, as his skin had reddened.

I narrowed my eyes. “So, you’re mad at me, because Harlem showed up with my Christmas gifts?”

He sucked his teeth. “Fuck you and that nigga. You was probably down there, kissing him and shit.”

I shook my head. “I wasn’t.”

“Yeah, but you going down to his house, remember? To fraternize with ya in-laws and shit.”

I gulped, as my clit thumped. I knew that I shouldn’t have been so turned on by his jealousy. It was a gleaming red flag. Toxic shit in the making. But clearly Ms. Kitty lived for this type of drama.

There stood Ricky Tymaine Ferris Junior. Aka Breeze. The smoothest, most handsome boy in the school. The nigga who used to have me so scared that I’d avoid eye contact. And when he tried to holler…I clammed up. Rolled my eyes. And pretended to be disinterested.

Back then, I was silly. Didn’t know myself. And was intimidated. I could admit that now. I’d been secretly crushing on him, just like all my friends. So, to have him feeling a way about me dealing with somebody else gave me this indescribable excitement.

“So, you don’t want me to go to his house, Ricky?” I used his real name for the first time.

He stared at me with intensity. “No, I don’t.”

I nodded. “Are you mad at me?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay. So, tell me how I can make this right.”

He licked his lips. “By getting on those knees, and finishing what you started.”

Without another word, I dropped to my knees, and pulled his dick out of his pajamas. Wasting no time, I took him into my mouth, and sucked. My slurping was loud, and bouncing off the walls, as I locked eyes with him. When his eyes gradually shut, I knew that I had him right where I wanted him.

Naughtily, I bobbed my head, feeling completely in control. Knowing exactly how to bring a guy to his knees, I allowed his dick to hit the back of my throat, and didn’t stop until he was throbbing, and releasing down my throat.

We had a full house by Christmas evening. From what I could tell, both Ricky and my mama were the most successful people in their families, with the biggest home. So, it only made sense for them to host Christmas.

My entire immediate family had shown up, and so had Ricky’s. There were so many cousins of all ages hanging around. There were about six teens on Ricky’s side, and eight on ours.

Wanting to do us, away from the adults, all the teens had gathered in the backyard. It was actually cold this Christmas, dropping into the low 30s. So, thankfully we had several standing patio heaters to keep us toasty.

With the house sitting on the lake, the wind was whipping, urging us to start the fire pit, and make some s’mores, while music was blasting from the subwoofers. With the string lights strung from various poles, and the tiki lights flickering, the ambiance was so romantic.

Me and Breeze were both wearing the Moncler he’d both, which included hoodies. However, it was so cold that we both had bubble jackets over that.

We warm blooded Houstonians weren’t accustomed to cold weather, so we were shivering, and Breeze had lowkey brought out a bottle of tequila to warm us up.

Also, initially, a few of my hot pussy cousins had laid eyes on Breeze and immediately pleaded with me to hook them up.

Of course, for multiple reasons, I wasn’t letting that happen, and had told everybody that he was a hoe and that they shouldn’t bother.

Naturally, they didn’t give a damn about whatever I had to say and were blatantly throwing themselves at him.

On the flip side, Harlem was blowing me up, and I hadn’t taken his calls since me and Breeze’s powwow earlier that day. This was definitely new territory for us, and guilt was slowly settling in.

No, I didn’t have plans of stopping what I was doing, but I could stop betraying Harlem. So, if I had to breakup with him to set him free, then that’s what I’d have to do.

“Summer, I thought my mama said that you have a boyfriend,” my cousin Nessa randomly mentioned, as we were seated on the handmade circular bench that surrounded the fire pit.

My lashes fluttered, as I decided that she was coming for me. “What made you say that, out of nowhere?”

Her eyes ping ponged back and forth between me and Breeze, as we sat beside each other, and my elbow was resting on his leg.

“Cause. I heard he lives right down the street. So, why wouldn’t y’all be spending Christmas together?”

“Maybe because it aint none of your business,” Breeze spoke up. “You worrying about the wrong shit.”

I cut my eyes at him, thinking that he’d gone a little too hard, right then. “Really, Ricky?”

“What?” He frowned, reminding me that he’d been drinking. So, the mask was off. This was him, unfiltered. “Nobody aint trying to hear her talking about no boyfriend. You aint fucking with that nigga. Not unless it’s finna be a problem. So, I ain’t trying to hear that shit.”

“Welp.” My cousin Tele spoke up, before prissily taking a sip of tequila from a shot glass she’d snuck outside. “That just cleared up a whole lot. Cousins, let’s stop flirting with Breeze. Cause it’s obvious that these two muthafuckas is hunching.”

Everybody within earshot howled with laughter.

Hell, I was laughing too, because I honestly didn’t give a fuck.

I was legal and it wasn’t like my mama was gonna whip me.

Besides, my cousins weren’t the type to run telling.

We’d all seen each other do dirt and it was always kept amongst just us.

And I was assuming that Breeze’s cousins were the same way.

“Aw shit, kinfolk. You popping it like that?” Armaud, Breeze’s cousin chuckled.

Reclining back, and tossing an arm behind me, he stretched out his legs. “Get out my business, nigga.”

When a cool breeze whipped through, I shivered, and my teeth chattered. Glancing over at me, Breeze wrapped an arm around me, holding me closely.

I locked eyes with him, thinking that he was getting way too comfortable.

I may have not been concerned about getting in actual trouble for messing with Breeze.

However, this also wasn’t our coming out party.

Hell, I didn’t even know what we were doing, and I didn’t want my mama privy to the notion of me casually fucking her boyfriend’s son.

“What are you doing?” I whispered in his ear.

He leaned in and spoke in my ear. “Let me clue you in. I’m not sitting back, biting my fingers, worrying about who knows what. We both grown, technically. So, I aint gotta pretend, Summer. If that gets back to your mama, then so be it.”

“But you do realize that her knowing would change things, right?”

“Like what?” He questioned, before kissing my lips.

“Ricky,” I whined, as a chill shot up my spine.

“Ricky, what? Hmm?” He placed his forehead on mine.

I exhaled, while my heart raced. “If my mama knows, then she’ll weigh in. Judge it. And you don’t know that side of her. You like her, because you know her as Ricky’s son. She’s different when you’re dealing with Summer’s mama.”

“I hear you, Summer…but Ion care. If you scared, then go to church.”
