Chapter 24 #2

Dexz stood in front of the door, listening to them bicker.

He shook his head and smirked cockily. He knew Lunden thought they were fucking, and he was right.

He waited for Lunden to approach him like a man about the situation, but he never did, and this was the first time he'd heard them argue over him.

“I’ve been distant because I know you haven’t been honest with me about females in your phone, and I’m sick of you accusing me of shit when it comes to Dexz.

Yes, I've been hanging with him, but he's my friend. We're going to hang out without you around. Now, you need to leave. I have clients, and you’re interfering with my money with this unnecessary argument.”

“Your money? That’s all you fuckin’ care about is money. You’re too fucking stupid to see you about to lose a good nigga.”

“You need to stop calling me stupid and dumb. That’s one of the reasons I don’t like being around you anymore. You’re always belittling me.”

“You make me say shit like that to you because I feel like you don’t listen to shit I'm saying. I just don’t want you with nobody else. We’re supposed to get married.” Lunden calmed down his voice just a little.

At that moment in the conversation, Dexz knocked twice and then walked in.

He could feel the tension in the room, but he saw Lunden’s face thaw when he laid eyes on him.

As much as he wanted to confront Dexz, he always decided not to.

He didn’t want to get into it with his bro because he knew that was a battle he wasn't going to win.

So he always picked a fight with Pretti because it was easier to take his frustrations out on her.

“What’s up, my nigga? Y’all good? Heard y'all arguing,” Dexz asked, noticing the obvious angry look on Pretti’s face. He also didn't like the way Lunden was calling her stupid, so he shot him a frown.

“Yeah, we good. Regular shit, so you ain’t gotta look at me like that. It’s all love with me and her, but I’ll see you later for dinner, sweetheart. I’ll see you later tonight, my nigga, for that pickup,” Lunden said as he walked towards the door.

“No, wait… stay. I want to talk to both of y’all right quick since you’re here.” Dexz sat in front of Pretti’s desk.

“What’s going on?” Pretti asked, now with a concerned look on her face.

“Yeah, what’s up?” Lunden asked.

“Well, I don’t know if you know, bro, but my ex, Kayla, is here.

Well, was here. She killed herself and left me to take care of my son.

I did a DNA test, and he is mine, so I’m going to be getting out the game soon and get on some legit shit.

He has health issues, and he’s going to need me, but I need y’all to back me. I need mad support,” he admitted.

“Damn, bro… okay. Nah, I got you. You know my aunt runs a daycare for kids that need extra help. Make sure you stop over there and tell her what's up.”

“Fasho, bro.” Dexz nodded, glad he had Lunden’s support. No matter what, they looked out for each other.

“And you know I got you regardless. Whenever you need a sitter, I'm here. I’m putting a play area in my new shop for kids, so he will always be welcome.” Pretti smiled.

“Yeah, bro, you got a big support system, but I’ma bounce. I got some shit to handle,” Lunden said, leaving the office. Once the door closed, Pretti sighed.

“I’m so glad you came in here while we were arguing. It’s an everyday thing, but are you okay? I can’t believe you said Kayla killed herself. You think it was the fight?” Pretti asked, not feeling proud about the fight she had with Kayla or hearing that she killed herself.

“I don’t know, but Ethan is mine. I took him to my Aunt Silvia’s, and she gave me five months to get my shit right and take him into my custody.

I want to open my business and get a family house.

I know you sick of that nigga Lunden too, but that relationship will be dead soon.

I swear I love you. I hate seeing you with that nigga, but I want y’all to end on his terms so there’s no tension or bloodshed when I wife you.

” He walked up to her, wrapped his arms around her, and kissed her forehead.

“I know he’s cheating on me. He needs to leave me now,” she replied, frustrated.

“He got bitches, that’s a fact. He’s going to leave you soon because he’s tired of your good girl act. Let’s just let it fade that way.”

“I’m not fucking him or anything, and he’s mad at that. I know he’s been talking to two girls. I check his phone all the time. I know he’s going to leave me, and I can’t wait.”

“Well, you don’t need to fuck him anyway because you’re fucking me.” Dexz kissed her lips.

“I can’t right now. I’ll come to your apartment late tonight, and we can have some alone time,” she whined, feeling weak in the knees from his kisses.

“I love creeping with your sexy, smart ass,” he said as he smirked. He loved boosting her ego, especially since he heard Lunden talking down on her. He knew she needed a pick-me-up.

“You’re always making me feel good. Text me, and I'll hook up with you later.” She pushed him away, but he pulled her back to him.

“I’m going to text you, alright.” He continued to smirk as he grabbed her ass and kissed her neck.

“Don’t send me no more nudes, Dexz.” She rolled her eyes, trying not to laugh.

“Oh, I'm sending you all this.” He took her hand and made her rub his slightly erect pole.

After Dexz loved on her a little more with kisses and touches, he went about his night, and so did she.
