PROLOGUE

In times of Old, a goddess embraced a mortal’s heart.

She bestowed upon him a fragment of magic, the first Gift,

and thus united the realms of gods and mortals.

When the goddess beheld her folly,

she sought to reclaim her blessing and undo her mistake.
