Chapter 29

The next few days flew by in a blur. The women had been returned to the countries from which they had been taken from.

Even Carla had gone home to the United States.

Everly had been happy to spend a few days with her, but when the time came for her to go home, Everly had stayed.

After several long phone calls with her parents, she promised to visit in a few months.

She explained that she needed to see where things were going with the man she had fallen in love with—the man who had saved her.

“Are you sure?” Cristian peered into her bright blue eyes, searching for the truth he prayed was there. “I will take you there myself if you want to go home, Everly. I told you.” He ran his fingers down her arm as they laid in bed. “I will set you free if it means it will bring you happiness.”

“Don’t you see.” She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his mouth. “You make me happy. I know it’s crazy, but it’s true. I love you, Cristian.”

“And I love you.”

Everly wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him on top of her. “Make love to me.” she whispered into his ear, nipping at the tender flesh with her teeth.

Cristian eased himself between her legs and pushed inside her.

Her warm center swallowed his cock as he pumped into her.

Her body responded to his every move. Her moans of ecstasy driving him wild like a feral beast. It was like he was lost in a sea of stars, the bright light pulsating with every thrust of his hips.

He could feel the moment she was coming undone.

Her walls tightened around him and her nails dug into his back.

Cristian grunted something unintelligible as her body squeezed his essence from the very core of his soul.

“Fuck,” she cried out as she spasmed around his shaft. His cum seeped into her womb as their bodies bumped against each other.

“I love you,” Cristian hissed as his cock swelled inside her. He never felt so alive as he did when he was making love to her. “Marry me.”

Everly froze beneath him. Her mind coming back to the present. “What?”

Cristian pulled out of her, the loss nearly debilitating. “Marry me.” He rolled to his side and danced his fingertips along her ribs. “Say you’ll be mine forever.”

“Are you serious? It’s only been a few weeks.” She rolled her head to look at him.

“I’m serious. I can’t live without you, Everly. You’re my hope. My light. My soul. I can’t go on another day without knowing you’ll be mine forever. Say yes and let me love you forever.”

A tear slipped from her eye, rolling down her cheek and splashing onto the bed. “You’re serious?”

“Deadly.”

Everly smiled, her heart exploding in her chest. As crazy as it was, she couldn’t see spending life without him either.

“I know my life isn’t all roses, but I promise to make you happy. I promise to keep you safe—but most of all, I promise to never stop loving you. Will you take a chance on me, Everly? Will you be mine?”

“Yes.” Everly rolled over and straddled his waist. “Yes, I’ll be yours, forever.”

She smiled when she felt the growing erection beneath her.

Not wasting another moment, she gripped his shaft in her hand and guided him back inside herself.

Her life was messy and made no sense, but as she took control and brought them both to release again, Everly knew her heart had made its decision.

He had found her in the worst of situations and made her feel real love.

Together they would overcome the darkness and let the light inside.
