Chapter 11

Storm

“That’s one of them,” I tell her as we sit back and watch the motherfuckers. Kenzee stays close to my side just like I told her to, and I like her being there. Probably more than I should.

“Piece of shit,” she grumbles under her breath, causing me to smile. I see the woman come out of the store seconds before Kenzee moves. I reach for her, but it’s too late, she’s already on the move, rushing toward them.

“Fuck,” I grumble under my breath as I stand from my position and jog behind her.

It’s no use. She already has the girl by the hair, spinning her to face her.

Her hand pulls back, and her fist slams into her eye before she does it again.

The man moves toward them, but I pull my gun and step closer, aiming it at him.

“Not a good idea,” I tell him. He glances at me and then over at where his old lady is getting her ass handed to her by Kenzee. And when I say she beats her ass? That’s exactly what she’s doing to her. She’s pounding the fuck out of her.

“What the fuck is this about?” The man roars as I keep my gun aimed at him. When the woman is knocked out on the ground, Kenzee turns to him next. I step closer, knowing that she can’t take him on, but wondering what the hell she’s about to do anyway.

“You motherfuckers…you took something from me, and I’m going to return the goddamn favor.”

“What the fuck are you talkin’ about bitch?

” A growl leaves my throat when he says that but Kenz doesn’t back down.

In fact, she steps closer to him. My nerves are firing off one by one, ready to explode at a moment's notice, but in the back of my head, I know this is all fucked up. If the prez catches wind of this, there’s going to be hell to pay for not only me but also Kenzee.

“You heard me. You stole something from me, something I’ll never get back, and I’m going to make sure that every single one of you pays for that,” she hisses at him before reaching up and slapping him across the face. That’s his breaking point. He slaps Kenzee so hard that she falls to the ground.

I shove my gun into the back of my jeans and then tackle his ass to the ground. I beat the shit out of him until I hear the sirens off in the distance.

“Fuck,” I roar before I stand and yank Kenz off the ground.

“We gotta go,” I tell her in a hurry as we both rush back toward where we parked the bike.

I climb on, and she shoves the helmet on her head before jumping on the back and wrapping her arms around my waist. I reach down and secure them before taking off.

We ride hard, and we ride fast. It doesn’t take long to get back to the clubhouse where I park the bike, and we both climb off.

“What the fuck was that?” I growl at her. She sets the helmet on the seat and glares at me with a fire in her eyes that I’ve never seen before.

“What was what?”

“Don’t fuckin’ play dumb, Kenzee! Why the fuck would you do that?”

“Isn’t that what you’ve been training me for?” She asks, raising her eyebrow.

“No. It’s not! I didn’t say go out and jump the fuckin’ old lady when you wanted to. What the hell, Kenz? What if there were more of them?”

“You had my back.”

“Obviously! But that wouldn’t have been the case if there were more!”

“You’re being too much right now,” she says, turning around and walking inside. I storm in behind her when I see Kristy. I curse under my breath before grabbing Kenzee’s arm and spinning her to face me.

“We’re not done with this shit yet.”

“Yeah, we are. Don’t you have a bitch to fuck?” She snarls at me, jerking her arm away from me and walking across the room. I watch her go when Kristy walks over, stepping up in front of me, running her hands down my chest. I quickly slap them away, not in the mood for this shit today.

“We have a deal,” she hisses at me.

“Maybe I don’t want the fuckin’ deal anymore,” I tell her, looking down at her. She narrows her eyes, and I see the rage boiling over inside of her.

“You don’t get to change the deal, Storm. Don’t forget who got you out. I could get you put back in just as quickly.” I smirk at her and step into her space, crowding her.

“You think I’d let you get that far?” I ask her. She looks around me at Kenzee and then drags her gaze back to meet mine.

“Is it because of her? Because I can make her disappear just as quickly as you,” she tells me.

Anger surges in my veins now that she’s threatening Kenz.

That shit isn’t going to fly with me. I nod my head and laugh darkly when she pulls her purse in front of her.

She pulls a gun quicker than I gave her credit for and points it at me.

“Back up,” she demands. I raise my hands and take a few steps back as I watch her.

“You really wanna do this?” I ask her.

“I’m sick of being cheated. By him, by you.”

“Think about what you’re doin’ right now and where you are, sweetheart, because you’re standin’ in the lion’s den, and there’s no fuckin’ way any of us are gonna let you walk outta here if you pull that trigger.

” She smiles at me and turns the gun toward someone else.

She’s about to pull the trigger when I rush her and tackle her to the ground, but it’s too late.

She fired the shot. The girls scream as I pry the gun from Kristy’s hand and toss it to the side.

I yank her to her feet as the guys all rush around the room, making sure no one got hit.

“Kenzee? Kenz!” I scream for her.

“I’m…I’m okay,” she stutters. Now I pull Kristy to her feet in front of me, one arm around her so that her arms are held down, the other on top of her head.

“You just fucked up,” I whisper in her ear as I smile at the guys.

“What the fuck?” Patch roars as he steps in front of her.

“He was voiding our deal!”

“So you take a shot at one of our girls?” He questions her. She doesn’t answer him, but his eyes move to meet mine before he shakes his head. He knows. They all do. Jenson steps up next, watching me intently.

“You know who she is,” he reminds me.

“Means nothin’ to me,” I tell him.

“Storm, you just got out.”

“And I don’t plan on goin’ back.”

“I’ll make sure you do!” Kristy yells as I laugh.

“Don’t do this, Storm.” Jenson can plead all he wants but that isn’t going to stop me. Kenzee slowly walks over and stares at me as I watch her.

“Don’t,” she says softly.

“Aw, come on, Kenz. Look at me. You know how this goes.”

“No, Storm. It doesn’t have to,” she tells me. She steps closer, and I step back, pulling Kirsty with me. I slowly pull my arm from around her and bring it up to her chin, keeping my other hand on her head.

“My husband's a cop!” Kristy yells.

“You think I care? I’ve killed cops,” I remind her as I grab onto her chin.

I keep my eyes glued to Kenzee’s as the guys keep talking, trying to talk me out of what I’m about to do.

There’s no way to end this without doing this.

She took a shot at Kenz. I can’t have her running around thinking that’s okay to do.

Or try to come back and do it again. Hell, she could hire someone else to do it for her. She has connections.

“Storm,” Kenzee’s voice is soft and low as I smile darkly at her. Then I do it. With a quick and simple twist, I snap this bitch's neck. As soon as it’s done, I let her body drop to the floor in front of me as Kenzee bends over and throws up. Jenson rushes to her side as Patch comes up next to me.

“Fuck, Storm. You know what you’re doin’?”

“Yeah, I do.”

“You damn well better. Get rid of her,” he says, nodding toward the dead body on the floor. I keep my eyes glued to Kenzee as a few girls rush over and help her. She won’t look up at me and I don’t blame her.

“I got this. You go to her,” Tide tells me.

“It’s my mess.”

“Yeah, she needs you more than the mess. Got some shit to do anyway, I’ll take care of her,” he tells me.

I nod my head before pulling a cigarette out and lighting it up.

Then I walk toward the table where they put Kenz and stand there, watching her.

When she finally looks up at me, I see the pain in her eyes.

“You see what I mean, Kenz? You see what I do?”

“You didn’t have to do that.”

“No?” I ask her, cocking my head to the side to stare at her. “She took a shot at you, Kenzee.”

“It…it was so close. I could hear it whizzing past me,” she says softly. I lean down and blow smoke into her face as I stare at her.

“And you wanted her alive? To what? Try it again?”

“You could have done something else, anything else.”

“Like what? Wait for her little cop husband to show up? I’m not goin’ back to prison, Kenz.”

“You don’t want to go to prison, but you blatantly kill people? Where the fuck do you think you’re going to go, Storm?” She screams this time as she stands to her feet and heads for the door. I watch her go when I catch a glimpse of Jenson. He’s staring me down before he nods toward her.

“What do you want from me, Jenson? Huh?” I roar, loud this time.

He doesn’t answer, just shakes his head and walks toward Kenzee as Tide lifts Kristy’s body and tosses her over his shoulder before making his way out of the clubhouse.

I turn to head for my room when I feel her fist slam into my back.

I turn slowly and see that fire in her eyes once more.

She pulls the cigarette from between my lips and drops it to the floor, stomping it out before she swings.

And I let her. I let her take out all her frustration on me.

I let her work out her anger as she beats the shit out of me.

The guys stand around watching, unsure what to say or do, so they do nothing.

When I’ve had enough, I grab her and toss her over my shoulder like a rag doll while she screams and curses at me.

I ignore her and carry her down the hall and straight into my room before slapping my hand roughly on her ass.

“You think you’re getting sex after that?” she screams. I chuckle as she fights before tossing her on the bed and grabbing my handcuffs. I move quickly as she’s still fighting me, but I manage to get her wrist and cuff it to the headboard.

“What the fuck is this?” She yells, tugging at the binds that keep her in place.

“You need to calm down.”

“You need to let me go!”

“I’m not gonna do that, so you might as well calm down,” I tell her.

“My uncle isn’t going to let you do this!” Now I laugh.

“Do you see him comin’ through that door, sweetheart?” I ask, nodding toward the door. She huffs out a breath and leans against the headboard, glaring at me.

“You trained me to do that shit so I don’t know why you’re mad now.”

“I trained you to defend yourself, not jump someone in the middle of the fuckin’ street where we know shit and we don’t know if there’s anyone else out there. You’re a smart girl, Kenz, but this time you were really stupid.”

“Did you call me stupid?”

“You heard exactly what I said. You put yourself in danger. For that, yeah, you’re fuckin’ stupid.”

“Let me out of here!” She yells as loud as she can. She screams and hollers as I pull out my phone and send Jenson a quick text. I don’t give him all the details, but just enough so that he knows why I’m doing what I’m doing. He responds, and I smirk, turning the phone toward her.

“He isn’t comin’.”

“You told him?”

“Not everything, no. Just enough.”

“So what? Now you’re going to keep me chained to the bed?”

“You look pretty fuckin' sexy chained to my bed, Kenz. Maybe I should have done it sooner.”
