Storm's Marriage to the Enemy

Storm, an unworthy lightning farmer and poor serond among Halo's chosen hollows, is claimed as a wife by the enemy commander.

War with the magic-filled people beyond Halo's border has pushed the hollows toward extinction, so the keepers hunt women with enough solence to bear offspring and bring Storm before the devastatingly handsome commander, leaving her brother and mother for dead.

He refuses to hand her to one of his soldiers, keeps her for himself, and promises never to touch her unless she asks or runs.

Grief, rage, and lust close in around the husband she swears she will hate until her last breath.

It is a dark dystopian romantasy of corrupt power, open desire, the pressure to breed, and a mother who would do anything for her children, with escape still Storm's only hope of getting free.
