Fifteen
Summer
Once River is in the room, he doesn’t waste time locking the door and storming over to me, pressing his lips roughly to mine. He pulls me by my thighs to the edge of the bed before dropping to the floor and burying his face between my legs.
My back arches off the bed and I fight the urge to close my legs around his head. River holds my legs open, his tongue lapping around me like he has to taste how turned on I am for himself.
“Anything I want, huh?” he mumbles against me, gently nipping at the tender skin.
“That’s what I said, isn’t it?” I argue because yes, this man can do whatever the hell he wants with me and I’d say “please” and “thank you” tenfold.
“You can always say no.” River finally pulls away from me but continues to massage my thighs.
I sit up on my elbows at his hesitation, my eyes narrowed in his direction. It’s dark in the room, the only source of light being the moonlight from behind the cheap curtains, but I can see the furrow in River’s eyebrows and the gnawing of his lip.
“What is it?” I ask. “You can tell me anything, promise.”
River swallows then nods his head and begins kissing back up my thighs, almost like he’s trying to break something gently to me. What could possibly have him so nervous?
“I want to fuck you…in the ass.”
Oh.
I’ve never done that before. Not that I haven’t thought about it.
I just haven’t been with anyone I trusted enough to do that with.
A boyfriend I had before Savannah came close, but then I found out he had a girlfriend and I was the other woman, so to say I didn’t necessarily trust him with something like this would be an understatement.
“Do you have lube?” I ask because honestly that’s the only thing standing between River and this fantasy.
River’s eyes widen but he quickly nods, his attention perked up. It makes me want to pull him in and tell him I trust him with my life. Of course I’d trust him with this.
“I’ve never done that before, but I want to try…with you,” I admit.
A moan reverberates from the back of River’s throat as he places chaste pecks on my thighs before pulling away and digging through his bedside table. I crawl backward to the center of the bed, flipping onto my stomach and waiting patiently.
I can feel my heart hammering in my chest but I want this with River. Part of my nerves comes from the anticipation of what it’ll feel like. I’ve heard stories from friends and they’ve all told me it feels strangely good. Not at first but the slower you go, the better.
I lurch forward a bit when I feel the cold, slickness of the lube that River lathers where we need it. I glance back just in time to see him wince, his movements coming to a halt.
“Sorry,” he apologizes.
I simply chuckle. “It’s okay, just warn a girl next time.”
Everything seems to stop for a moment as River gently nudges a finger into the unfamiliar space. My whole body tenses, not expecting it to feel this off. I knew it’d take getting used to, I just didn’t think it’d feel so foreign.
“Want me to stop?” River asks, pulling his hand away.
“No.” I shake my head, readjusting my upper body on my elbows and taking a deep breath. “No, I just need you to go slower.”
River does as I ask, trying again, his finger slippery and prodding.
My breath hitches but River gently coaxes me to relax, and I do so by remembering that this is River and he’d never do anything I didn’t want.
Would never push me too far. I could tell him to stop right now and he would, no questions asked.
Which is why I take a deep, shaky breath, allowing River to slip in deeper until he’s settling against me.
“You’re okay,” River reassures me. “You’re doing so good for me, Pretty Girl. You look so perfect like this.”
After another finger, I can’t help but feel strangely full. Good in a weird way I didn’t expect, but unable to make out whether I like it yet or not.
River remains still, now letting me adjust with two fingers. I let myself test the sensation by gently rocking my hips back and dear god, that’s what all the fuss is about.
“How does that feel?” River asks, allowing me to set the pace, not daring to move an inch himself.
“Please.” I lift my head enough to look back at him. “I want you to fuck me.”
River moves like a man on a mission and gently pulls his fingers out of me. I watch as he lathers more lube between my cheeks and his dick, using an ungodly amount.
I try not to tense as he lines himself up with my backside and oh so slowly pushes in. I fall face first into the mattress, moaning into the fabric.
I move my hand between my legs while my face remains buried in the sheets. The high of River being the first person I’ve ever done this with is delicious and addictive. I want more things to be our firsts together. More of him. More of this.
River palms my backside, spreading me and only adding to the overwhelming feeling of all of him in my ass.
His hips roll against the curve of my skin, pressing me deeper into the mattress.
Both of his palms rest flat next to me. The bed creaks gently, just enough to be suspicious if Moose is listening, but I don’t think either of us care.
“Fuck,” I moan into his pillow, my drool decorating the blue fabric. “I’m going to come.”
“Yeah?” River tries to catch his breath. “You feel good?”
I quickly nod, afraid if I wait too long to answer, he’ll stop, and I need him to do anything but that.
“You make me feel so good, so full,” I cry out.
“Come for me, Summer.”
My eyes squeeze shut, hues of red and orange overcrowding my vision. I jerk forward, clutching the sheets. The need to scream is overwhelming but I hold back by burying my face into another one of River’s pillows. My hips stutter, back arching. My veins feel as if they’re flooded with lava.
I don’t move for a moment. My body is hunched over and slack. I can hear River’s shallow breaths from behind me, coming down from his own high, but I think I need another second to form a coherent sentence.
“You okay?” River chuckles after a quiet moment.
I wince as he gently pulls out of me and rolls me onto my back. Then he joins me so we’re both staring up at the ceiling, pinkies brushing against the other. My mind is all fuzzy and my body feels both heavy and weightless at the same time. Now it feels like the day has finally caught up to me.
“Yeah,” I whisper. “I’m okay. What about you?”
“That was…” River chuckles breathlessly. “Wow.”
I chew on my bottom lip, unable to hold back a smile. “Wow indeed.”
***
“Shh,” River warns lightheartedly but he’s the one that’s laughing. “I think Moose is still pouting in his room.”
I don’t know why I find the thought of that man pouting ridiculous, but I do—I accidentally spit out my soda, some of it coming out of my nose.
My body shakes so violently in my fit of laughter that I almost fall off the counter.
Luckily, River still has some sense to catch me even while he’s laughing alongside me.
I wince slightly, still a little sore from earlier.
After lying in bed talking for long enough, River and I decided that getting a snack at three in the morning was necessary. I never eat this late—or early depending on how you look at it—but River was very convincing.
“You’re going to get us caught,” River wheezes and once I’m back on my feet, I shove his shoulder while wiping tears from my eyes.
“Like you have any room to talk,” I whisper back.
The only illumination in the kitchen is from the refrigerator light and the glow casts a shadow behind River, accentuating the bits of his hair sticking up.
River is in nothing but sweats and I’m only in panties and his shirt, so if Moose were to walk out here to investigate the chaos, this definitely wouldn’t be a very good look for us.
“Here.” River pours me another glass of Mountain Dew, something we shouldn’t be drinking right now, clearly. “Can you keep it in your mouth this time?”
The words that tumble out of my mouth had no shot of remaining as an inside thought. “Yeah,” I say. “I usually don’t have a problem keeping things there.”
River’s eyes widen and I slap a hand over my mouth, trying desperately to not let my cackle travel down the hallway. River hides his own laughter in the crook of his elbow, his shoulders shaking.
Maybe it’s sleep deprivation, or maybe it’s simply that I’ve missed River, but at this moment I feel as if I’m on the top of the world.
Standing in the kitchen with him, chugging down caffeine and getting into Moose’s secret stash of M&M’s is surprisingly all I could ask for.
I wouldn’t change anything about this moment.
Well, there is one thing I’d change. River keeps staring at me like he wants something but he’s too afraid to either ask or take it.
“What?” I finally ask, smiling against the glass cup.
River shakes his head like he’s about to dismiss my question but then he pauses for a moment, his eyes watching me in the dimly lit kitchen.
Our laughter dies, a brief moment of tension taking its place, but it doesn’t last long when River sets both of our cups down and reaches for my hand while the other rests on my hip.
A smile once again forms on my lips when I realize what he’s doing.
“May I have this dance?” River whispers.
I step closer to him, our chest touching and my free hand goes to rest on his shoulder. “Of course you can.”
We sway back and forth gently, our feet remaining in place. The kitchen lighting is warm and the glow wraps around us, encasing both of us in this moment. I wouldn’t mind being frozen in time if it meant I’d be able to live in this forever.
My smile only widens when River begins humming “My Girl” under his breath.
He pulls away only to gently spin me around.
The twirling is awkward at first as I try to catch my footing.
My sock-clad feet against the wood has me slipping but just like always, River is there to catch me.
He wraps his arm around my waist, playfully dipping me.
River kisses the tip of my nose before popping me back up and spinning me around so that my back is against his chest, his breath warm against my neck. I’m so wrapped up in River that I almost don’t hear the slow, heavy footsteps heading in our direction.
I quickly drop to the floor, wincing when my knees hit the wood. River reaches down to help but Moose’s voice travels into the kitchen.
“What the fuck are you doing, man?”
River stands to his full height, haphazardly reaching for the share-size bag of M&M’s and holding it up in Moose’s direction. “I was hungry.”
Luckily, I’m behind the counter and Moose remains in the hallway so he can’t see me unless he walks into the kitchen.
“Are those mine?” Moose inquires, his voice raspy and laced with sleep.
River winces. “I’ll…buy you more?”
“Damn right you will,” Moose mutters, his footsteps retreating down the hallway.
River and I both wait to hear the click of Moose’s door shutting before we look at each other and laugh.
