Chapter 27

Addison

Iwas only about fifteen minutes away from my hotel, but it felt like I was being followed.

I hadn’t received any calls or text messages from Mr.

L or Bruno, but that didn’t mean they weren’t after me.

Fucking Jerome! If that nosy bitch boy had minded his business and not tried to be a kiss ass to his boss, then none of this shit would have happened.

I slammed my hand down onto the steering wheel in frustration.

“Addison, get it together girl. Seojun is going to help you escape this shit.”

I said to myself as I pulled into the parking lot of the hotel.

Doing as I was told, I headed straight up to my room, not stopping to speak to anyone.

My hands became sleek with sweat as I hopped on the elevator.

Seojun said he was sending someone to get me. I wondered who. How would they know how to find me? I pulled out my phone and sent the address and room number to Seojun as I hopped out of the elevator.

Pulling my room key out of my bag, I quickly swiped the card and waited for the green light to pop up indicating the door was unlocked.

I was in such a hurry to get into my room that I didn’t notice the man coming out of his room that was across the hall from mine.

As soon as my door unlocked, I was pushed inside.

“What the fuck?”

I shouted, trying to get up, but a foot landed on my back, pressing me back down.

“Addison, baby, where have you been? I’ve been waiting a few hours for you.”

My eyes widened as Dr. Johnston lifted his foot from my bag. I rolled onto my back to see him hovering over me.

“W-what are you doing here?”

“Well, you had an appointment for a checkup this evening, but when I came by earlier you wasn’t here. So I waited until I received an interesting picture from Bruno.”

I swallowed as I scooted backwards.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Spare me, Little Bit. I saw the picture of you and an old colleague of mine looking quite cozy. Bruno tried to find you at the bar but saw that you had already left so he called me. You see, he knew that I had called ahead to ensure your room was close to mine and asked for me to be on the lookout for you. I am going to examine you and if all is still pure, then we won’t tell Mr. L. However, if you are not pure,”

Dr. Johnston licked his lips as he grabbed the front of his pants.

“Then I get to finally dip my tongue in between your legs.”

“Fuck you!”

I spat, scrambling to my feet.

“Oh, I plan on it. Now, let’s get those pants off.”

Dr. Johnston lunged for me, but I moved to the side, causing him to stumble into the side table. I cocked my hand back and threw a punch into his face and then his groin. He doubled over in pain as he gritted his teeth.

“Fucking bitch!”

As he held onto his dick, groaning in pain, I made a run for it. I reached the door and slightly opened it but was caught by my hair and pulled backward. My head hit the ground, causing my vision to briefly fade. I could feel Dr. Johnston’s body fall on top of me as his hands clamped around my throat. Kicking and thrashing underneath him, I tried to break free from his grasp, but was failing.

“I am going to enjoy every minute of this.”

His raspy voice said as he squeezed harder.

I could feel my head become lightweight compared to how heavy my eyes were. He was going to kill me. A part of me wanted to just accept death with open arms, but I couldn’t. I worked too hard and held on to sometimes nothing but a mustard seed of faith and I wasn’t about to give up now. I lifted my hands off of his and plunged my thumbs into his sockets as hard as I could.

“Arrgh.”

His grip loosened as he attempted to pry my hands from his face. Before I knew it, a large blue vase was floating in the air before it came crashing down onto Dr. Johnston’s head. I turned onto my side and coughed, trying to get air into my lunges when a familiar voice called me.

“Addison, girl, I am going to kick your ass.”

I looked over my shoulder to see Akira leaning over me, rubbing my back.

I opened my mouth to speak when she quickly shook her head.

“Don’t talk. Let’s get you some water. Raheem, baby, can you grab me a water bottle.”

A small chuckle escaped my lips, causing me to instantly regret it. My throat was raw and on fire. I forgot that my best friend said she was dating one of Seojun’s cleaning crew members. Lifting up, I chugged the water as Akira sat next to me, rubbing my back. Looking over her shoulder, I saw a tall buff man with rich coffee skin and a fresh lineup showing off his black coils.

“So, that’s Raheem,”

I asked.

“And you were the person supposed to pick me up?”

“Yes that is Raheem, and no, it was only supposed to be him picking you up, but we were on date night. I was going to call and let you know I landed, but me and Heem promised to give each other the full day. Unfortunately, our lonely ass boss doesn’t care about that and sent us to pick up his special merchandise.”

Akira smiled at as she waggled her eyebrows.

“Girl, shut up. Seojun didn’t say that.”

“Oh, Seojun? Y’all on first name bases, too?”

I playfully rolled my eyes.

“Ladies, we really must be going. I don’t know how long this guy is going to be knocked out and Seojun is waiting for us.”

I nodded as Akira helped me up. I rushed to the closet and grabbed my suitcase, glad I didn’t have time to unpack earlier. I snatched up my toothbrush and scooped all of my makeup back into the bag before heading out the door. Akira and I looked at each other as we hopped onto the elevator while Raheem took the stairs. We had a lot to talk about.
