Chapter 33
Mama K (a.k.a.) Kim
Inever wanted to be Ayzo’s mom until my brother officially welcomed him into the Jaguars. I thought with him having his foot in the door, he’d allow me access to the power. I tried to be in with the Jaguar’s through my brother, but he didn’t want me or his wife apart of that life. He used to bitch that it was too dangerous, and we’d could get hurt. I mean, for his wife, yes. She was fragile and easily manipulated. Hell, it was her biggest flaw that got her caught up as being a damn junkie.
I, on the other hand, was strong and my brother knew that. Did my strong leadership skills and ability to physically protect myself help me prove that I could be a Jaguar? Nope. I despised my brother for it, but heavily trusted Ayzo to get me in. So, imagine my disappointment and anger when he started complaining that he didn’t want to be a Jaguar anymore. My son was soft, just like his damn dad and that pissed me off.
I thought my chances to become a Jaguar was ruined until I met Luther. He was a crucial key to my master plan, but he spent the first few years of his life with deadbeat parents. Thankfully, I took him under my wing when I found him. His father, T, didn’t give a damn about him and his mother was dead. I was the only mother figure in his life and was going to use that to my advantage.
I made a deal with T that he could keep his son so that he could learn a bit about the streets. Luther did petty jobs here and there while I taught him the ins and outs of being a leader. I made sure he knew about his past which fueled his anger and motivated him to stick with my plan to get our revenge. Now, everything was messed up all because of that little bitch, Addison. My phone began to ring causing me to roll my eyes.
“What is it, Delilah?”
“Where’s the rest of my money?”
“Bitch, don’t call me with no stupid shit. I told you, once Addison was shipped out, then you’d get your money. However, it seems like your daughter has fucked that all up.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Well, it seems like she married the ex leader of the Jaguars.”
“What? How the fuck did she know about the Jaguars and their deal with the Reapers? I never told her shit, and my mom is too senile to remember the agreement my dad made all of those years ago.”
“How the fuck should I know?”
Delilah exhaled a heavy sigh.
“Look, at the end of the day, I held up my end of the bargain. I told y’all about the Reapers and where to find Addison. Just because she fucked it up for yall, doesn’t mean shit to me. I still need my money.”
I looked at my phone in disgust. Okay, so maybe it was her idea to go after her daughter, but right now that didn’t mean shit. I didn’t tell her to spill out her frustrations about her dad with me a few years ago at a bar. You see, her mother was just diagnosed with dementia and her father was already deceased. Delilah explained to me that she was under the impression that her mother was still in charge of the Reapers and she would eventually take over once her sickness became worse. Unfortunately, she later learned that wasn’t the case.
She found out that her father had left the Reapers with someone else. I remembered comforting her because I could understand her frustration. I was damn near in the same boat. However, when I learned that her dad decided to pass down the group to a new powerful man up north, my interest was peaked. At the time, there was only one man who was running the north. I couldn’t help but smile when she said that it was no one other than my brother, Chul-Moo, that had taken over. At that moment, the wheels in my head were in motion and my plan was being formed.
I would use Luther to officially get rid of the Jaguars which would ultimately get rid of the Reapers. However, in order to complete that task, we would need start up money. A lot of it. We were already working with Mr. Omba, so the fact that he wanted a untouched bride for himself, was the icing on the cake. So, Delilah agreed to give us her daughter’s location who was still a virgin as long as she got a cut of the money. I texted Olivia to check out Addison’s school and to be on the look out. I didn’t exactly trust Delilah. Thankfully she was telling the truth and we found Addison. Unfortunately for her, her daughter ruined the plan.
“Delilah, get your bitch ass off of my phone. The deal is off. I’m not paying you shit and if you have a problem with that, then I’m heading to Philly now and we can solve it.”
With that, I hung up the phone.
