Bonus Chapter

Cole

After Daniel and Lydia left, I called Ramirez.

He was the only one who could help us get this cleaned up properly.

There was no way this was looking like an overdose now.

It’ll have to be a drug deal gone bad, or maybe just have Langford disappear completely.

Ramirez was good at making bodies go away.

I sat in the chair where Langford tortured Lydia and stared at his body. I was seething.

How could someone so small be so resilient? The way she looked when she slowly pushed that knife into him… Fuck.

I needed to kill something.

“You need to leave, brother.”

My eyes shot up, ready to attack. Ramirez stood in front of me.

Shit, I didn’t even hear him come in.

“Tell me what to do. I’ll help.” I ignored his outstretched hand and stood up, towering over him.

“Nah, you can’t help me like this. Why’re you so strung up?” He looked down at the body. “You didn’t do this?”

“He’d be unrecognizable if I did.”

“Fine. Then go kill something and let me take care of this. Anything I should know?”

“You know what our plan was for him. If you can make it look clean, do it. If not, make him gone.”

Ramirez frowned. “He’s got a knife sticking out of his head. Might have to blow his face off completely to hide that.”

“Leave his teeth so there’s no question about who he is.”

“You think I didn’t know that?”

“What’s up your ass?” I looked at him more closely. He looked tired. Ramirez never looked tired.

“Nothing, sorry. I got my own shit to deal with. Now, go away.”

“You know where to find me when you need to,” I said as I walked out.

I took Daniel’s bike. I needed to find someone to fuck and someone to kill before I lost my temper on the wrong person.
