Chapter 11 #2
“Nah. Your ass crushing. Take these bags and put them wherever our room at,” Dolo said, finally inside the house, and he pushed the bags over by the wall. He even sat the duffle bags down too.
Once he was in, he slapped it up with Loco, and it warmed my heart, seeing the way the two of them embraced each other with smiles on their faces.
Dolo then went for lil Loco, slapping it up with him, and he playfully put him in a headlock, telling him to watch that shit when it came to me.
They horsed around for a little bit longer, and then Loco led the way through the house, telling us that pretty much all the kids were upstairs in the movie room, and that the adults were out back, chilling out there.
“You good?” Dolo asked me, towering over me, as he placed me in a bearhug, allowing me to lead the way, as I was following Loco.
I let him know that I was good, and he walked with me the entire time like this, up until we made it out back, and that’s when he removed his arms from around me.
Outside is where the vibes were at. All the adults were out here.
You could visibly see that the women were in one area of the backyard, while the men were in another area.
It reminded me of how things were with my family, whenever they would put something together.
From here, I could see the women, and there were hookah’s and drinks in rotation.
It was music that was playing out here. It really was a vibe.
There was a pool out here, and it was big enough to mirror the size of one of the pools that was at the resort in Mexico.
I couldn’t wait to come out here in the morning because I knew that view of the ocean that was in the background was going to be to die for.
Loco walked us over to where the women were.
Uzi was the first one to glance over and see us heading their way.
I just saw her yesterday because she had her class yesterday morning, but like she hadn’t seen me in weeks, she quickly stood up from the chair that she was sitting in, and she came over with a smile on her face, hugging me.
As tough as I was, I smiled too, hugging her as well.
“Your ass came. I thought that you were going to try to skip out on the trip,” Uzi said to me the second that she pulled away.
“Let me introduce you to everyone. You already know Benelli. You know Nyne. This is my baby sister Beretta right here. That’s her best friend, Puma. This is my best friend, Aries,” Uzi went on, right after she pulled my arm, and she walked me over to where everyone was.
“Hi Riot. Uzi has been telling me a lot about you. Girl, I have been dying to meet you. You are so pretty,” Beretta spoke, standing up from the chair that she was sitting down in, and just like her sister, she reached in, so that she could hug me.
It was freaky how much she looked like Uzi. The only differences were that her hair wasn’t red, and you could just tell that Beretta was younger. She seemed so cool, and down to earth.
“Yeah. We heard so much about you. I’m Puma,” Beretta’s best friend came over, and she hugged me too, complimenting me as well, and telling me that she liked my outfit.
“We’ve been telling Dolo to bring you around to meet us. Girl, we have never seen Dolo with a girlfriend before. He picked right for sure because your ass is drop dead gorgeous,” Aries replied.
I knew of Aries. I only knew of her because her and my mom were in the same line of business.
Beauty. Two women in the hair industry that were popular.
I remember my mom would often bring Aries up to me, telling me how she liked her work.
Although my mom was much older than Aries, she was often inspired by her.
“Thank you. You may know my mom. Her name is Keyshawn. She does hair,” I let her know, and when I said that, she immediately started smiling.
“Girl, what? I do. I met Keyshawn a few years ago at this hair convention that we had in Miami. You are her baby. I remember on her flyers, she had you posted with some of the styles she’s done on you, and how healthy she’s maintained your hair over the years.
I’m a fan of your mom. Definitely a boss for sure,” Aries let me know, and as soon as I got a moment to talk to my mom, I was going to tell her.
Aries seemed cool. Cool, and humble. I knew that she was married to one of the biggest R&B singers out.
Cartier was her husband. You know how women have a way of making their marital status or who their married to being their entire personality?
Aries didn’t give those kind of vibes. You could tell that she was genuinely down to earth.
All the women over here seemed that way.
“Come on. Let me take you over there to see the guys,” Dolo said, pulling my hand.
“Leave her here, Dolo. Let her stay with the girls,” Benelli was the one to call out, as she held the hookah tip in her hand.
“Let me take her over there to meet the niggas. I want her far the fuck away from you. You going to have her talking back to me, and shit,” Dolo said to Benelli. She laughed at him and then proceeded to waving him off.
We made our way over to the guys. They had a spades game going on.
You could smell the weed too. The shit talking that was going on was crazy.
There was a bunch of money that was sitting on the table, so I knew that they were playing for money.
I knew how to play spades. My pop-pop taught me.
My mom had given me lessons too because she was a beast when it came to playing spades.
I wanted to pull out a chair, and sit with the guys, and play, but I knew that it would probably be best if I stayed with the girls, so that I could get to know them.
“Look at this young nigga. Somebody pull a phone out and take a picture of this shit. You used to swear that that bachelor life was where it was at. I stayed getting on your ass, telling you that it ain’t shit better than getting you one woman, and settling down with her.
What’s good bruh?” that was Phantom that said this to Dolo.
Phantom was Benelli’s husband. He was fine as fuck! Tall, muscular man with nice chocolate skin. When he smiled, you could see the perfect white teeth that he had, along with his dimples.
Dolo laughed at what Phantom said to him, as he walked closer to him, so that the two of them could slap it up with each other and pull in for a brotherly hug.
“Yeah, aight. Chill out with that shit. She don’t need to hear the shit that I was talking. Bae, this Phantom. Phantom, this Riot,” Dolo said, doing the introductions.
Phantom pulled me in for a quick hug, and they paused the game for a second, and all the men came over and greeted me.
I met Skyro. That was Beretta’s boyfriend.
Skyro was the hottest rapper out right now, and I wanted to fan out so bad, telling him that I knew every single song of us.
I wanted to tell him that my little cousin Amir was obsessed with him too.
I just didn’t have it in me to do that. Skyro was so cool though.
Cool, and humble just like Cartier was, who was just as famous.
Caine, who rapped as well, and was just as big as Skyro, he came over, hugged me, and was welcoming too.
I even met Scrappy. Scrappy was Puma’s boyfriend.
Everybody was cool, and welcoming, just like Dolo told me they would be.
“How that feel to be on some Bonnie and Clyde shit with your nigga?” Cartier was the one to ask me that question.
When he asked it, Dolo pulled me into him, making me stand in front of him, and he wrapped his arms around my waist, while leaning his head into the crook of my neck.
“It’s cool. I get to do two things that I love at once. I can be around my man, and make money at the same time,” I let him know, and he nodded his head at that.
The men were really cool. They dished out a few questions for me, just wanting to get a better feel of me.
They knew who my father was. Might not have known him in an intimate kind of way, but they knew of him, so they all offered me their condolences about my father’s death, and my brother.
I thanked them for that, and once that was done, they went on with their game.
Dolo pulled me away for a little bit, and I turned around in his arms, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“Ima go over there with the girls,” I let him know.
“Aight. We don’t have to be out here that long. I know you tired. Let me just kick it with these niggas for a little bit, and we can go upstairs after. You going to hop in on a spades game with us?” he asked me, and I laughed.
“No. I want to be ladylike while I’m here,” I responded, and that had him cracking up.
“Bae, all the women over there know how to play spades. We take that shit serious over here. You ain’t gotta play tonight though. You can get in on a game tomorrow, aight?” he asked me, and I nodded.
You would have thought that I was about to go to another villa that was ten homes down by the way we were wrapped up in a hug, and then started kissing, when all I was doing was going just a few feet over by the girls.
We eventually wrapped it up, and I pulled away, walking back over to where the women were.
There was a spot right next to Beretta, so that’s where I sat.
“How did you meet Dolo, Riot? I like hearing about love stories,” Puma said, who was sitting right to the left of me.
I turned to look at her. She was so pretty. It was her chocolate skin. Her brown eyes that were glaring back into my hazel ones.
All the women were looking at me, waiting to hear my response.
