DAYDREAMIN’
RYAN
The trilling of my alarm cuts through the haze of the dream I was having, pulling a groan of frustration from my chest. A dream where Isa let me do whatever I wanted with her. And I mean, whatever. You can bet my imagination really ran wild with that opportunity.
Rolling over to shut off the irritating sound, I take stock of my painfully hard cock. I’m not surprised that Isa sleeping under the same roof would bring on the most intense sex dreams and morning wood of my life, and yet I should’ve expected it.
I check the time to confirm I can probably get away with a quick shower to relieve the situation, but I’m also not sure if she’s awake yet. Can I take care of this quickly and without her hearing? I have no idea. But I might have to risk it anyway. I just don’t want to make shit weird between us.
After much back and forth, I finally decide fuck it.
I climb from the bed and practically sprint to my ensuite to crank the shower on.
I quickly strip out of my boxer briefs and settle in under the stream.
It’s cool at first because I was too eager to wait, but the longer I stand under it, the warmer it gets.
I plant one arm against the tile wall and lean my forehead against the cool surface, eyes closed, taking my cock in my fist. I give it a squeeze, then another, before I start the slow, torturous tugs.
Images fly around behind my eyelids, picturing not my hand stroking me, but Isa’s.
She’s kneeling in front of me, holding my dick in her delicate hands, fingers wrapped around my shaft.
She gives me that smirk of hers I fucking love before she starts to tease me.
Getting into a rhythm but not enough to get me to the edge quite yet.
Enough to the point that it feels fucking incredible.
There’s a hunger in her eyes as she continues to pump me, her tongue darting out to lick her lips before she flashes a devious look at me.
That pink tongue of hers pops out to run over the head of my cock.
I groan into my arm at how incredible her tongue feels against my hard length.
She slowly drags her tongue from the base of the underside of my cock, up the length, until she reaches the end and sucks the tip into her mouth.
“Fuck,” I grunt out. Her mouth is fucking heaven. The wet warmth sliding up and down at her teasing pace. Tingles start in the base of my spine. I’m getting close.
She increases the pace of her mouth and adds a hand to the base. My balls start to tighten in anticipation of my impending release.
“Yes, Isa, fuck,” I hiss out between gritted teeth.
All it takes is a few more pumps into her mouth before I’m shooting down her throat with her name on my lips.
I continue to pump through my climax until I’m spent.
Her mouth pops off my cock, tongue darting out to lick the corner of her mouth and gather up every drop of my release.
If I hadn’t just come, the sight alone would probably do it for me.
She looks up at me with a self-satisfied smirk, and I open my eyes to see?—
I’m still alone in my shower leaned against the wall, my release dripping down the white tiles.
I groan at the realization that my imagination made that feel so real. I had one of the best orgasms of my life to only thoughts of her and not even the real thing.
If I didn’t already know it before, I sure know I’m fucked now.
I’m tugging on a T-shirt as I head out of my bedroom. I suppose it’s time to wake up?—
“Good morning,” Isa says softly, voice rough with sleep, from where she’s curled up on the sofa, back in her clothes from last night.
I freeze in place. She couldn’t hear me, could she? I mean it was through two doors, but I didn’t shut the bathroom door because, well, I never do. So, really, it was only the one door. Fuck, I hope she didn’t hear.
I scan her face for any sign that she heard me groaning her name as I got myself off to thoughts of her in the shower, but she looks normal.
Nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, she looks more relaxed than I’ve ever seen her and perfectly sleep rumpled, wrapped in the throw blanket with her phone in her hand.
My thoughts run away with the image in front of me, filling it with scenes of more mornings like this.
My dick twitches in my jeans.
Absolutely not. I just took care of you. Calm the fuck down.
I clear my throat, trying to ignore the rising situation in my denim. “Uh, morning.” She smiles in a way that makes me think she can tell I’m a bit flustered right now and it only makes it worse. “Did you sleep okay?”
“Sleep okay?” She laughs. “Your guest room mattress is a fucking dream,” she says with a wistful sigh, eyes fluttering shut as her face takes on an expression of pure bliss, which definitely isn’t helping the tightening situation in my pants, imagining her making that same face in other less savory moments.
“I really need to figure out where it’s from because I need one for my bed.
Imagine how well I’ll sleep with that thing! ”
I chuckle, pulling my thoughts from the gutter they threw themselves into. “I guess if you’re so well rested, you don’t need to go grab that coffee.” I give a shrug and make to turn around.
“What on earth would make you think I don’t want coffee?”
“Then up and at ’em, firecracker,” I say as I snatch my car keys from where I threw them on the kitchen counter last night and begin walking toward the front door, snatching up the suitcase I left there the night before.
“I’m up, I’m up!” she shouts as she scrambles to untangle herself from the blanket muttering Italian curses under breath when she almost trips herself.
I pass my usual coffee spot as we drive through town in the direction of Isa’s place. I would love to take her but there are so many reasons why that would be a bad idea.
First, it doesn’t have a drive-thru so we would need to go inside, and I don’t think either one of us looks platonic enough this morning to pop inside.
Second, the photographer I spot waiting on the corner like a vulture is a rather strong deterrent. Because it’s my usual coffee spot, it also means that people know I go there. The odds of a paparazzo waiting on me are high.
And third, I like being able to keep her to myself right now. The way she still looks dopey and happy from sleep. Hair still a bit mussed even though she finger combed the shit out of it on the way down to my car. Makeup free.
God, I could get used to seeing her like this. But I can’t. We can’t.
So, instead of my usual, I pick one of the chain shops along the way that has a drive-thru and will pose less of a risk for us. For her.
Pulling up in front of her building, I throw on my hazards and put the car in park so I can turn to fully face her. She watches me with an amused curiosity, awaiting my next words.
“Don’t think I forgot about winning that bet, firecracker.”
Her eyes widen, and I can’t tell if it was because she had forgotten or was hoping I would forget.
“We’re not actually going to follow through with that though, are we?”
I fold my arms over my chest. “Would you have made me change my walk-up song if you had hated the movie?” She rolls her eyes and grumbles something under her breath. I lean closer. “Sorry, didn’t quite catch that. Mind repeating?”
She heaves an exasperated sigh. “Yes, I would’ve.”
I give her a smug smile in return. “Then yes, we are following through with it. We leave today for the next week of away games, but I’m back next week. We’re going on that date once I’m back.”
“Fine. Text me the details I guess.” She opens the door, ready to jump out before she adds, “But nothing too public!”
“Don’t you worry, firecracker. I’ve got it all figured out.” I shoot her a wink as she hops from the car and rolls her eyes before heading into her building.
Now, I just need to plan the best date of all time. But I might need some help.
“I need help,” I say as I drop into my usual seat at the back of the plane next to Coop.
“Oh, hello Fletch. What a lovely day we’re having. How are you?” Cooper replies, not even lifting his eyes from the book in his hands.
I can’t see what it is because he has it wrapped in one of those stretchy book covers we used in school on our textbooks, which is odd.
I lean closer, trying to get a better look at the page but I only catch the word fuck before Austin pops up to look over the seat at us, pulling my attention away.
“You definitely need help. But what kind of help are we talking about here? Psychiatric?”
I roll my eyes. “Hi Coop, how’s it going?” I turn to Austin. “No, not psychiatric help, you weirdo.”
He shrugs. “I don’t know, you were basically stalking that poor girl with the TV crew for a while.”
“We’ve gone over this. I wasn’t stalking her,” I grumble as I slump back into my seat.
“Riiiiight. She’s your girlfriend now?” Hunter asks as he falls into his seat next to Austin.
“We’re just friends!” I sigh in exasperation. “You know what, I’ve changed my mind. I don’t want your help anymore.”
Cooper slowly closes his book and shoves it into the seatback pocket before finally giving me his attention. “What’s going on?”
I roll my head in his direction. “Pretty sure I did something messed up.”
“Messed up, how?” Hunter asks.
I shoot a glare in his direction. “Are you going to help or are you going to judge?”
“Well, that depends entirely on the words that are about to leave your mouth. I can’t make any promises that I won’t judge.”
“Then I don’t want to tell you,” I say, crossing my arms over my chest.
Cooper rolls his eyes. “Ignore their dumb asses. What’s wrong?”
I cast one more wary look to Tweedledee and Tweedledum where they sit watching me expectantly from the row in front of us.
I try to keep my voice low, but I know they’re going to hear me anyway.
“So, you know when you wake up and you’ve gotta”—I clear my throat—“deal with a situation?” I widen my eyes, trying to emphasize my point without having to say the words, but Cooper stares at me bewildered.
“Morning wood,” Austin stage-whispers to Coop and I want to facepalm.
“What he said,” I grumble.
Cooper’s face scrunches with disgust. “Dude, are you about to tell us about your masturbation mishap, because I can honestly tell you, we don’t want to know.”
I groan. “No. Well not entirely.” I thought with Cooper’s playboy status this would’ve been a safe space to confess.
“What does ‘not entirely’ mean?” Hunter asks, concern making his voice pitch up an octave.
I cover my face with my hands before I force out the reason I brought this up in the first place. “I did it to images of Isabella.”
“Isabella?”
“Who’s Isabella?”
“Wait, the TV girl?” Cooper asks, putting the pieces together.
“She’s their security, but yes. That’s Isabella.”
“Dude, you jerked it to your not-girlfriend who is just a friend?” Austin asks.
“I fucked up. It was a moment of weakness. And she spent the night?—”
“She stayed over?” Hunter cuts me off.
“Well, we were watching movies, and she fell asleep, so yeah.”
“Did you guys share a bed?” Austin asks.
“What? No, she stayed in my guest room.”
“Did she hear you?” Hunter pipes up.
“I don’t think so.”
“Then what’s the problem? What does it matter if she doesn’t know?” he asks, confused.
“You’re going to get attached,” Cooper muses.
I let my eyes drag to him and I take in his smug expression. “I think I already am.” Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I reveal the last piece of information. “I’m taking her on a date.”
“Hold up, a date?” Austin gapes.
“How did you get her to agree to that?” Cooper questions.
“So, are you guys like dating now?” Austin asks.
“Yes, a date. No, we’re not dating. It was my stipulation if I won a bet.”
“And you won the bet,” Austin fills in the blank.
“I won the bet,” I confirm, lips pressing into a firm line.
“So, why do you sound so upset about this? You’ve asked her out before and she shot you down. Isn’t this what you wanted?” Cooper prods.
“We’re not allowed to date,” I say, trying to explain the situation as simply as possible. But from the look of horror on all of their faces, that doesn’t seem to help.
“Allowed?”
“She’ll lose her job if she’s found fraternizing with the team or anyone else she works with.”
Cooper gapes at me. “Then what in the fuck possessed you to ask her on a date as part of the bet?”
Okay, ouch. The judgment in his tone stings. I know it probably wasn’t the smartest idea, but we’ve been hanging out as friends up until now and everyone’s still none the wiser. Even the guys didn’t know the extent of our friendship until recently.
“I wasn’t exactly thinking so clearly when I pitched it. But now I’m determined.”
“Determined to do what? Get her fired?” Hunter asks.
“No, of course not! I have something in mind that keeps us out of the public eye and I think she’ll enjoy.”
“Then what’s the goal here?” Cooper asks.
“I want to show her that we could be good together, great even. Not just as friends, but in a for the rest of our lives way.”
“Oh boy. You’re in deep,” Austin points out, voice solemn.
I purse my lips. “I’m afraid so boys. So, help me figure out a way to get the girl.”
