EPILOGUE 1

“Love is the emblem of eternity: it confuses all notion of time; effaces all memory of a beginning, all fear of an end”

—Germaine De Stael

The Wedding

On my wedding day, I was so happy that I had a calmness I couldn’t even believe myself.

All I wanted was to be with Henry and live that unique moment.

Our wedding was being held in the hotel’s grand ballroom, which had been decorated for the occasion in a wonderfully romantic way.

At that moment, I was in my suite’s bedroom while Niky finished arranging my veil.

My dress, designed and created by Niky, was spectacular, decorated with lace, with a strapless neckline, mermaid cut, and finished with a long train.

I wore my hair loose with waves and a small crown of white flowers from which a beautiful veil fell down the back.

“Dali, how much longer do you need? Henry is going to make my phone explode if he keeps calling. The poor man is so anxious that you’ll be a widow before you even get married.

I’m not joking, at any moment he’ll come looking for you and carry you all the way to where the judge is,” Lolo said, laughing.

“It’s true, little demon,” Bastián said, also laughing. “Woollardy is going to wear a groove in the ballroom carpet.”

“You’re ready now,” Niky said, laughing at those two’s comments, and the girls who were helping her nodded their heads while looking at me in wonder.

“You’re the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen, and believe me, I’ve seen many.

My brother is going to have a heart attack when he sees you.

I’m going to open the door so those two nuisances can stop talking, because I’m sure when they see you they’ll be speechless. ”

Niky slowly opened the bedroom door, and I could see my brothers standing on the other side, waiting for me.

Both were truly speechless and looked at me with emotion.

They looked incredibly handsome, wearing tuxedos with silk lapels, matching pants, white shirts with special collars for bow ties.

The vest had a horseshoe collar and was gray.

Henry would be dressed the same as them, the difference being that on his lapel he would wear a flower that matched those in my bouquet.

“You can say something,” I said, looking at them with a smile.

“My goodness!” Lolo exclaimed. “You look like a beautiful angel.”

“You look beautiful!” Bastián said.

I rushed to hug them, though Niky started shouting because she didn’t want a single hair to move out of place.

“As the older brother, I’d like to say a few words before giving you away to Henry,” Bastián said, emotional.

“I’ll wait outside,” Niky said, and left the suite accompanied by the girls who were helping her.

Bastián took one of my hands and stretched out the other for Lolo to take it. Lolo took it, and his other hand joined with mine. And so, the three of us united in an indestructible circle, we listened to my older brother’s emotional words.

“Today is a very important day for us, our little sister is getting married. We want to wish you all the happiness in the world because you deserve it, you are an extraordinary woman and our parents must be extremely proud of you, today they must be up there toasting to you. I know that the place that Lolo and I will occupy today should have been Dad’s, but I’m sure they are happy to see us together and that we have the honor of accompanying you,” he paused to compose himself because all three of us were crying with emotion, and continued: “We are going to give you away to Henry because, after getting to know him, we are convinced that this man loves you and would give his life for you. Only once have I seen that true love that you two profess to each other, and it was the love of our parents, and it fills us with happiness that you have found it. We love you, Dali, we love you with all our hearts, and although you’re now going to be a married woman, we want you to know that we will always be there for you, no matter what happens in our lives, the three of us will always be together. May you be very happy, little demon!”

We hugged again, unable to contain our tears. Niky’s knocks on the door made us separate. We wiped away our tears and smiled.

“Let’s go, the moment has arrived,” Lolo said.

We reached the doors of the ballroom and my brothers positioned themselves on either side of me. As I had once promised them and as was my wish and theirs, I would walk toward Henry holding both their hands.

Niky finished arranging the dress and veil, stood in front of me, and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

“The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. I love you all,” she said, looking at the three of us, gave a signal to the hotel staff to open the doors, and stepped aside so we would be visible to everyone.

At that moment, images of my history with Henry flooded my mind.

I had met him on an ordinary night at the hotel bar, but for us it had been the beginning, and now, some time later, we were getting married in that same hotel.

Who would have thought that would be our destiny, that destiny that had so many times diverted our paths, often with complex situations.

But as Henry had always said, we had been stronger than destiny and had ended up walking the same path in the same direction, together and hand in hand.

Our love was stronger than everything. From that moment on, Henry would be my husband, but most importantly, he was and would forever be the love of my life.

My brothers squeezed my hands, bringing me back to reality.

“Let’s go, Dali, they’re waiting for you,” Bastián said.

The song we had chosen for that moment began to play, “Te voy a amar” by Axel, which was being performed by a hired singer with an extremely sweet voice. That song expressed so much of what we felt. We would choose each other each and every day of our lives, forever.

I Will Love You

Axel

It's not enough to say

That you're my light, my sky, my other half

It's not enough to say

That I would give my life for your love and even more

Words are no longer enough, no

To explain what I feel

And everything you're causing in me

Black and white turns to color

And everything is sweet when it's in your voice

And if it comes from you

I will love you and make you feel

That every day I choose you again

Because you give me your love without measure

I want to spend my entire life with you

It's not enough to say

That I'm the one who watches over you like a guardian angel

It's not enough to say

That in your kiss I always find my peace

Words are no longer enough, no

To explain what I feel

And everything you're causing in me

Black and white turns to color

And everything is sweet when it's in your voice

And if it comes from you

I will love you and make you feel

That every day I choose you again

Because you give me your love without measure

I want to spend my entire life with you

I will love you and make you feel

That every day I choose you again

Because you give me (because you give me) your love without measure

I want to spend my entire life with you

Live, live my entire life

Because you give me your love without measure

I want to spend my entire life with you

It's not enough to say

That in your kiss I always find my peace

When the doors were fully open, I could see him waiting for me, standing at the altar that had been built for the occasion.

Our eyes met and never parted again. Henry looked at me with emotion and some tears ran down his cheeks, which he wiped away with his hand while smiling at me.

And although I couldn't stop my tears either, the smile never left my face; I was happier than I had ever been.

We walked down the aisle listening to that beautiful song with the eyes of everyone present on us, but I only wanted to reach him and be in his arms.

Upon reaching the altar, my brothers released me, gave me a kiss on the cheek, and greeted Henry with a hug before going to their respective places. When we were face to face, we couldn't wait any longer and embraced each other.

“You're so beautiful, you take my breath away. I love you, my Dalina, today is the happiest day of my life.”

“And mine. I love you, my champion,” I said, smiling, and forgetting about the world, I leaned in to kiss his lips, but...

“Ahem, ahem,” Bastián cleared his throat, and that, along with the laughter of all those present, brought us back to reality. “Why do you have the habit of rushing everything? That's for the end, 'champion,'” he said, because he had obviously heard how I called Henry.

We looked at each other and laughed. We held hands and, facing the judge, listened to the simple but wonderful ceremony that made us husband and wife.

“You may kiss the bride,” the judge concluded.

And we did what we had wanted to do since we had seen each other; we kissed passionately, forgetting about everyone else.

This time the applause didn't manage to separate us, but Lolo's voice made us smile and finally pull apart.

“You rushed again, 'champion,' that kind of kiss isn't allowed in front of siblings, our eyes hurt, please!” Lolo said.

Everyone laughed and surrounded us to hug us, amid congratulations and cheers.

The party afterward was exactly as we had imagined it, overflowing with emotion, fun, and unforgettable. It was a magical night, so magical that we would never forget it. A night surrounded by love where we enjoyed the celebration of our love, of us, of our happiness. Everything was perfect.

I entered the hotel suite in the arms of my husband, who couldn't stop looking at me with emotion and indescribable love. He closed the door with his foot and headed toward the bedroom.

“Even though it's the most beautiful dress I've ever seen and it looks wonderful on you, I'm sorry to say that I'm going to take it off you,” he whispered in my ear.

“That's what I've been waiting for all night,” I whispered back.

I noticed he was looking at me, but didn't know where to start.

“This dress should come with an instruction manual on how to remove it,” he stated, looking at me thoughtfully.

“You can suggest that to Niky, but in this case, I'll instruct you. Follow the line of little buttons on the back.”

I smiled and turned around. He began to unfasten the tiny buttons while caressing and kissing me. The dress started to slide down my body, revealing the sensual lingerie I had chosen for the occasion. I was wearing a white lace strapless corset with an attached garter belt and silk stockings.

“My goodness! You are... you are... you are mine,” he finally said, making me turn around as he took possession of my mouth with overwhelming passion.

“May I?” I asked, tugging at his tuxedo.

“I’m all yours,” he responded, against my lips.

I began by removing his jacket and unbuttoning his shirt, while he looked at me intensely with an expression of unimaginable desire.

Our lips joined in a desperate and ardent kiss.

His hands traveled over my body and mine over his.

He took me in his arms again and gently laid me on the bed.

He explored my entire body with his burning mouth while I caressed him with mine.

“I need you,” I whispered, when the desire became unbearable.

Henry positioned himself between my legs, leaned close to my ear and whispered:

“Mrs. Woollardy, I’m going to make love to you all night and for the rest of our lives,” and looking into my eyes, he entered my body.

We both gasped and looked into each other’s eyes feeling exactly the same thing, love and an uncontrollable passion that ran through our veins.

He began to move slowly, savoring each thrust, while our gasps intensified. When he noticed my spasms, he accelerated the rhythm and the orgasm reached us simultaneously, making us cry out in release.

“I love you, my Dalina, how much I love you,” he exclaimed, as he let himself fall onto my body and rested his forehead against mine.

“And I love you, my champion,” I repeated, while caressing his strong back and enjoying that moment of total connection, as one only feels when with the person they love.

And that night, our night, we made love several times, giving ourselves to each other in body, heart, and soul.
