I just watched something you cannot unsee. Liz, the amazing creature that she is, just did something no man alive could ever possibly survive doing. I’m standing, still in awe, when the nurse places Emma on Liz’s chest.

Liz looks down at her, eyes shining with exhaustion and wonder. I look at them both—and it happens. For only the second time in my life, I fall in love with a girl.
