47. Linc
“Ifucking love this room.” I lean back on my hands on Lex’s bed, looking around at the inviting space.
It’s huge–because, duh, mansion–but it’s also the only space in the whole place that feels…warm, cozy. It’s full of soft touches of luxury, a plush cream rug underfoot and a fireplace on one wall. The furniture is lush, all shades of white with brass accents.
Lex peers at me over her shoulder, smiling. “Me, too. I let the decorators do whatever they wanted in the rest of the house…well, except for the sofa.”
“That thing is fucking magic. Good call.”
She laughs. “Why, thank you. But, yeah. I was pretty specific about this one.”
“It suits you.” I eye her. “Only part of this place that does, really.”
“I know.” Her nose scrunches as she shrugs on a thick gray cardigan. “Shall we join them?”
I grin, stepping into her space and looping my arms around her waist. She gives in immediately, rising to her tiptoes to meet my kiss. God, I can’t get enough of her.
The night before, we gave Declan an hour. One hour after he spewed his heart all over the Brightest in the Bay award ceremony before we let ourselves into her room. We found them curled around each other on her massive bed, both still fully clothed, gooey smiles on their faces as they talked.
Lex was the first to scramble up, rushing over to wrap her arms around me and Shane. Dec followed, pulling us both into rough, back-slapping hugs as we laughed. Somehow, we’d all ended up back on the bed in a puppy pile, talking deep into the night.
Then we needed to get ready for bed, and the sight of all that blue silk pooling at Lex’s feet, revealing miles of smooth skin, went straight to my dick. Dec and Shane apparently felt the same, and we ravished Lex for hours before finally falling asleep together. Pretty sure I’ll never be able to think of last night without getting emotional.
Lex pulls back, breathless, and giggles when I try to chase her with my lips.
“Linc! Come on, they’re waiting for us.”
She twines her fingers in mine, pulling me toward the kitchen.
“Fine,” I whine. “I just want you all to myself.”
“You’ve had me all to yourself since the shower.”
She tosses me a wicked smirk over her shoulder, and the memory of her on dripping wet knees for me makes my dick twitch. Okay, so add the bathroom to the list of rooms I love in this place.
“Face it, gorgeous. I’ll never get enough of you. I’m a lost fucking cause.” I clutch at my heart dramatically.
“What are you whining about now?” Dec looks up as we enter the kitchen.
“Apparently, your brother wants me all to himself,” Lex says airily, settling herself on a stool at the island.
Shane and Dec both freeze, turning to me with matching expressions, all hard and threatening.
“Can you fucking blame me? Look at her!” I gesture toward the siren, looking delectable in her lounge pants, tee, and oversized cardigan. Casual Lex is still my favorite.
The guys exchange a loaded glance, then shrug.
“Yep, can’t blame him,” Dec quips, turning back to the pancakes on the griddle.
Lex giggles as Shane walks around behind her and sets a coffee cup in front of her, leaning in to kiss her neck as he does. She sighs and leans back against him, gripping his forearms after he wraps them around her upper chest for a standing cuddle. So fucking natural.
“Can every Saturday morning be like this?” she muses, eyes falling closed.
I glance at Dec, then Shane. We have a quick silent conversation, then nod.
“Must suck to rattle around in this giant place every weekend,” I mutter.
Lex pops one eye open, arching a brow as she peers at me. “I mean, I’m hardly here.”
“Expensive place to have if you never use it,” Shane drawls.
“Questionable financial choice,” Declan adds.
Lex sits up, swiveling on her stool to look up at Shane, then me. “Okay, what’s going on here?”
“Do you really want every Saturday to be like this?” Dec asks, still facing the griddle.
“Yes?” She looks at his back sideways, then to me and Shane.
“This neighborhood…all this space. That important to you?” Shane questions, walking over to pull plates down from the cabinet.
“I mean, the neighborhood’s nice enough. The house is definitely too big–Linc’s right about that. Having Jax here helps.”
Dec nods absently, pulling his phone out of his gray sweatpants. Lex produced three pairs that morning with a slight flush, mentioning she’d had her personal shopper pick up a few things for us on their last trip. What she meant, apparently, was we now had a fully stocked closet in her bedroom. Billionaires are something else.
“Three weeks from today should work,” Dec announces.
“I’ll make sure Miles blocks Friday night through Sunday,” Shane murmurs, reaching for his phone.
“What the fuck is going on?” Lex demands.
I lean over and kiss her temple. “Move in day.”
“Excuse me?”
“You. With us.”
She gapes. “You want me to move in with you?”
I pick her hand up off the island. “I planted a rose bush out front for you. It might take it a while to bloom, but it’s an old French varietal with these dark petals with a light edge. Reminded me of Paris.”
“What Linc’s trying to say,” Shane interjects with a smirk as Lex stares, her eyes wide and swimmy, “is we’d love for you to move in with us, and we’ve already started getting things ready for you.”
She squeezes my hand. “Thank you for the roses. I can’t wait to see them. You’re very sweet, Linc.”
“You’re welcome!” I grin.
“To be clear, gentlemen, this is my decision.” She arches a brow. Cute.
“Of course it is.” Dec flips another round of pancakes before passing a steaming plate to Lex.
“I’d like to point out that none of you have actually asked the question.”
“Hey, baby?” Shane calls from the fridge, where he’s pulling out the milk. “Want to move in with us in three weeks?”
She stares in his direction, dazed, then scoffs. “Fuck it. Yes.”
I straighten, turning to her with a grin. “Wait, really?”
Dec is no longer paying attention to the pancakes, his arms crossed as he watches her with dark, hungry eyes.
“Yes, really. Were you expecting–”
Lex can’t finish her sentence because Shane has marched over and seized her throat, pulling her in for a rough kiss. She moans, her body going lax as she succumbs readily to his commanding touch. My cock stirs as the energy in the room changes, anticipation tingling through me.
“I fucking love you, baby,” Shane growls, releasing her.
She licks her lips, blowing out a sharp breath. “I love you, too.” Glancing around at the three of us, she smiles. “I love all of you.”
“Love you forever, beautiful.” I lean over and peck her lips, knowing I risk derailing Dec’s breakfast plans if I linger too long. “So, we’re really doing this?”
“Yeah, I think it makes sense to consolidate households,” she agrees, unable to resist talking through the strategy. There’s a reason Dec calls her boss. “You and Shane have been staying here more often than not, and–”
“No, I mean the bigger this,” I interrupt. “Us. All four of us, all in.”
“Oh.” Lex smiles, looking around the room. The way her eyes soften and cheeks flush does things to me. “Yeah, Linc. I am.”
“We all are,” Shane confirms as he sets places at the island for him and Dec.
I can’t contain my excitement, jumping to my feet and punching the air. “Fuck yeah!”
Lex giggles, shaking her head as she takes a bite of pancake. Shane doctored the short stack Dec handed her, adding bananas, strawberries, and a dollop of whipped cream.
“So, what are we, though?” I ask the question I’ve been batting around for weeks. “Are we the Wildes? The Livingstons? The Kellys? The Kelly-Livingston-Wildes? Because I gotta be honest, that last one is a bit of a mouthful.”
Shane chuckles, knocking his shoulder into mine as he sets down a bowl of fruit. “I think we can wait on that answer, Linc. One thing at a time.”
“Sure, yeah. Totally,” I agree, diving into the fruit. “Thanks, guys. This is awesome.”
Lex glances at each of us, smiling down at her breakfast before taking another bite. “It really is.”
