Chapter Twenty-Four

Grant

I couldn’t slow my omega down. As the pregnancy advanced, he bloomed. His cheeks grew rosy, his energy never failed, and he jumped my bones, as he called it now, every time we were alone in our room or anywhere else that seemed appropriate.

The resort was still in the process of changing over to its new iteration, but the club was nearly built, the rooms in the hotel redecorated, and I’d had the damned villa where my omega had been held torn down.

It was a huge waste of money, and worth every cent to have it gone and not have to get angry every time I walked past it.

Our home was going to have to wait until after everything else, but that would be all right.

The suite could accommodate us for a while, a good distance from the rest of the club, and when we did build our home, I wanted it to be everything we desired.

The property that had come with my purchase was more extensive than I’d realized, and we’d be far away from the business while still only a golf-cart ride away.

A golf cart I’d started insisting Ches used to come and go from the main building. Some walking was good for him, sure, but the blazing desert sun was starting to bother him as he grew larger.

On this particular afternoon, I walked back to the villa myself, enjoying the breeze on my face, even if it was a little hot and dry.

Working on getting the resort ready for the members of Cuffed and Crowned was taking longer than I had anticipated, and I was spending way too much time indoors, sitting at a desk, for my presence of mind.

I was looking for an excuse to get out and even off the grounds and had an idea.

Ches waited for me by the pool, and I bent to kiss him and then reached for one of his hands.

“What’s up, alpha?” He had his other hand resting on his belly. “Shall we send for dinner?”

“Unless you’d rather go to dinner. I thought this might be the perfect time to go to the nearest town and do a little baby shopping too.”

He jumped up, as well as he could, and flung himself into my arms, only to bounce back a little when his stomach met mine. “Oof!”

I steadied him. “Go get dressed, omega, and we’ll make a night of it. Want to stay over?”

“Yes!” He clapped his hands and started into the villa. “I’m so ready to have a date night.”

I supposed it was one. Romantic, even if it did involve crib shopping.

Dinner was beautiful, even if we did have to drive instead of taking a helicopter this time.

But, no matter, just driving along, the two of us alone, was really special.

And our hotel suite was spacious and had a bed that even a pregnant omega could appreciate.

Of course, we made love, because why wouldn’t we?

Long, slow, sweet caresses and kisses that showed how much we adored one another before falling asleep in the air-conditioned room.

I hadn’t realized how tired I was, but the next morning, I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder and saying, “Wake up, alpha. We need to go shopping. After breakfast.”

“Can I shower first?”

“Of course. But don’t be grumpy. The shower is big enough for six people even if three were pregnant. I’ll join you.”

Now, I was awake. Showering together was one of my favorite things, and I had gotten a peek at the stall the night before. “I’m up. Let’s get clean.”

He laughed. “I am thinking you’re planning more than a shampoo.”

Pretending to be crushed, I got out of bed and started for the bathroom.

It was very luxurious, and we spent a pleasant twenty minutes in there using all the soaps and gels and shampoos and other amenities to get squeaky clean before I eased him onto the bench that ran along one wall and got us both very dirty again.

“How do you get sexier every day, omega?” I asked him a little later when we were snuggling down for a nap before our shopping expedition.

“It’s the company I keep.” He yawned wide and rolled over to face me. “Those Cuffed omegas were right about you. You are a hot alpha.”

We slept for a few hours before checkout time and then went out to find the perfect bedroom suite for our coming babe. It felt amazing to be together as always, and we returned to the resort refreshed and ready to take on the world. Our world.

I swore I’d enjoy myself shoveling sand if he was by my side. And soon we’d be a family of three. We wouldn’t live full-time in our new home at the resort. I had my other homes, and my omega might like to live somewhere else besides even those. It wouldn’t matter as long as we were together.
