31. Chapter 25

Kaylynn

The cold metal sits between my lips, and I swallow trying not to gag.

Zach’s tattooed arms ripple, making the art look as if they’re coming alive off his beautiful dark tan skin.

I can feel the anger pouring out of him in waves, and I swear I almost choke on the air from the tension.

It's so tense. I try to remind myself to relax my jaw.

I take small even breaths to help me not panic.

“The audacity of my own sperm.” Zach’s father pulls me harder into his body. I try not to shake or to give anything away. I will not let this man win. Zach takes a step closer. “If you keep moving, I’m blowing her brains all over your pristine office. And we wouldn’t want that, now would we?”

I close my eyes. This is my chance. I'm not going to just stand here, with my mate’s father’s gun in my mouth all day. In one swift movement, I bend down, pulling out the knife I found and hid earlier, and hold it to his father’s neck.

“I think my girl wants you to let her go.” Zach says, with a smirk on his face.

I spin myself, and grab the gun from him, pressing it into his stomach, while sinking the blade further into his neck, making blood droplets come to the surface. He lets go of me, but I hesitate to release him.

“Why don’t you tell my Alpha what you did to me.

” I mock. I start pressing the knife in even harder, and seeing the red flow triggers me.

I can’t help but to suddenly have the urge to cut myself.

I really have a problem. It’s probably some sick, twisted fascination I have, well that, and a release, because it’s my heroin.

I feel the gulp of his neck underneath the blade.

“Oh, how the tables have turned.” I breathe into his ear.

With a swift flick of my wrist, I cut across his neck, but only enough to be a surface wound, to be more of a warning.

He doesn’t wince, nor does he make any sounds.

He’s probably not trying to show any weakness in front of his son or I.

“You may think you know me, but you're sadly mistaken. There’s more to me than what meets the eye.” I say.

With that statement, I pull the gun and blade away from the vile man in front of me, and I turn around and head over to my mates desk. Once I reach the desk, I run a finger over the hard surface.,then I take my thumb and two fingers, and I rub them together, there’s not a piece of dust in sight.
