33. Chapter 27

Tommy

I have been driving myself crazy, going over the events from last week over and over, wondering if there was something I could have done differently. Zach is holding Kay on his lap. We all know he's knotted up inside of her, but none of us make a fuss about it. We will all get our turn to knot her.

“Hi sweet girl, how are you feeling?” I ask, trying my hardest to sound like I'm in control of my feelings. The reality is, I want to tear this fucking place up. I want to go find our father, and end this once and for all. She answers me with some mumbles, but it’s nothing coherent, so I move closer to her.

I take off the blanket and kneel down, but she just starts to swat at me.

“Stop, get up.” I’m so taken aback by it, that I’m concerned about what has happened.

“What's wrong? Did my father do something to you?” She tenses up ever so slightly that you would have to have the senses of a wolf to even catch it. Lucky for me I do. Still, it makes me very curious as to what’s going on.

I start to look over every inch of her body, accounting for all the scrapes, bruises, and cuts. I just want to make sure that she’s ok.

“Did my brother bite you? Did he also choke you and use a knife on you?” My brothers’ face says it all, as he smirks from ear to ear. Of course he did .

My gaze goes down lower, taking everything in. That’s when I notice that she keeps squeezing her thighs together. “Kay, what’s wrong baby?” My Alpha is barely holding me at bay. “Open your thighs.” I bark out.

Kay looks at me in question, then does as I ordered.

I know she doesn’t understand why I’m making her do it.

“I'm sorry, baby girl, but you’re trying to hide something, and I’m trying to figure it out.

Because, mark my word, I will destroy this world to keep you safe.

” Her eyes go wide, and she just stares at me.

I tower over her, even while I am kneeled down.

I look down at her spread thighs, seeing new and old wounds.

I look up into her eyes and see the tears starting to flow.

Leaning forward, I look into her eyes before I lick her tears up.

“There is no need for you to cry. We have you.” She leans in, embracing me in a hug, and she starts to weep silently.

Zach’s knot has deflated, so I pull her into my arms. “You don’t ever have to do that to yourself ever again.

We're here now, we're your family. We will always take care of you.” I whisper gently into her ear.

She starts to sob even more, making my dark black heart honestly melt. I never thought I’d see the day where I would care for someone so much more than anyone else, even more than myself.

“You're my mate. I will do anything and everything for you. This is something that we are going to have to talk about because I’m not going to let you destroy yourself any longer.” I gently place a single kiss on her temple, pushing her hair behind her ears.

It really is the little things that count.

I really want her to know how special she is.

“Let's go get you in the shower, get you cleaned up, then we’ll figure out what we’re gonna do about the elephant in the room.

” Or should I say an old bat shit crazy shifter, who thinks he rules the world.

Maybe at one point in time, he really did rule this city, but my brothers and I have a lot that we’ve been hiding from him.

We’ve been making more friends than enemies, unlike him, and we did that for this exact reason.
