Chapter 21

TWENTY-ONE

Six months later

Sam blew the horn in the bumper-to-bumper traffic. The minibus filled with eager twenty-somethings.

“Have you seen a shark?” one shouted.

“I’ve seen loads,” Sam replied. “Great whites too.”

A ripple of whispers ran through the back.

“Will we get to see one?”

“Of course. What do you think we use as bait?”

He turned onto the road that would take them down to Good Hope.

“Where is everyone from?” he shouted through.

“I’m from Norway,” a handsome young man behind him said.

“Brazil.”

“Figures,” said the Norwegian. “Everyone is drop-dead gorgeous in Brazil.”

Sam watched in the mirror as the Brazilian student grinned. A red flush on his face. It felt so familiar.

It was his job to get them all settled in their bungalows. The flirtation between the two from the minibus was outrageous. Sam suspected they’d have a spare bungalow soon.

The drive had worn him out and every part of him was covered in dust. Now his charges were firmly ensconced in their digs, he had one mission on his mind.

When he got into his bungalow, Sam threw his clothes off and dove into the shower. The water instantly refreshing him as he washed the day down the plughole. He smiled when lips kissed the back of his neck.

“Are you a burglar?”

“Absolutely. I’m here to steal your heart.”

Sam shook his head. “That is way too cheesy. Even for you.”

Wolfgang spun him around and kissed him. Sam held on to him. Never tiring of those muscles that were even stronger after all the swimming they’d been doing.

“Did you pick up the newbies?” he asked, reaching for the shower gel.

“I certainly did. And two of them were flirting mercilessly. I’m going to be keeping an eye on them.”

Wolfie ran his soap-covered hands all over Sam’s body. Instantly his cock sprang to attention.

“They need to be careful,” he said. “A man can have his whole life turned upside down after a bit of mild flirtation.”

Sam pushed his hand down to his groin. “Your flirtation technique needs work. Nearly dying, having a fiancée and alienating the whole house against me. Not a usual way to woo a guy.”

He massaged Sam’s cock. “I think I’m making up for it, don’t you?”

Sam rested his arms on Wolfgang’s shoulders. “You’re getting there.”

“I love waking up with you,” he said, gazing into Sam’s eyes. “And I love falling asleep with you.”

They gazed into each other’s eyes. Every last doubt Sam’d had about Wolfgang had been swept away months ago. Even his mother had approved when she’d visited at Christmas.

“That’s good,” he said. “Because I don’t plan on doing that with anyone else.”

And he really meant it. Once Wolfgang had dropped his barriers, Sam had found the most wonderful human being.

“What are you thinking about?” Wolfgang asked.

Sam smiled. “Everything that’s ahead of us. I love you, Wolfie.”

“I love you too, Squid.”
