CHAPTER 11 — WHITE TAPE #3
His honesty made me laugh—a short sound that turned into a moan when his hand found exactly where my body was begging to be touched.
He watched me as he gave me pleasure, too attentive, too beautiful in his concentration, and for an instant I felt a vulnerability so strong I almost tried to kiss him just to hide my face.
Noah noticed and wouldn’t let me. He held my chin, keeping my eyes on his, while his hand continued in a slow, deliberate rhythm.
“Look at me,” he said. “You asked. Now stay with me.”
I stayed. Not because it was easy. Because he hadn’t given me anywhere to escape without making that escape a visible choice.
The pleasure built with the cruel slowness of his hand, with his mouth returning to my neck, my jaw, my lips when I tried to speak and couldn’t.
He tortured me with care, alternating pressure, pause, and kiss, as if he knew the difference between provoking me and breaking me.
Maybe he did. Maybe he’d always known, and I was only now discovering that being seen like that wasn’t the same as losing.
When I tried to touch Noah, he let me this time.
My hand found his body—the warm skin, the tension in his abdomen, the physical proof that he was at his limit too.
His expression shifted when my fingers slipped past his waistband, and the satisfaction I felt was so intense I almost fell back into the old impulse to win.
But Noah pressed my hand against his body, breathing deep, and looked at me with a seriousness that lifted this out of any simple game.
“Don’t make this a competition,” he said.
The words hit me because I’d been about to do exactly that.
I swallowed the automatic response and pulled Noah into a slower, deeper kiss, letting the touch between us find its rhythm without competition.
The change was subtle and devastating. His body relaxed against mine—not from submission, but from partial trust—and I felt the difference like someone had released a lock inside me.
Touching him without trying to prove anything was more dangerous than dominating.
It demanded presence. It demanded recognizing that his pleasure mattered not because it confirmed my power, but because I wanted to hear him lose his words for me.
Noah moved with me, against me, hands alternating between my body and his, mouth seeking mine whenever the intensity threatened to split us into two selfish impulses.
The couch felt too small, the dark room reflected in the windows around us, the rain falling outside as if the penthouse had drifted away from the entire campus.
He said my name once, hoarse, right at the edge, and the sound tore through me with such force that his hand had to return to my chest to hold me still when I tried to pull him closer.
“Shoulder,” he warned, even with his voice wrecked.
“I know.”
“You don’t know anything.”
“Then teach me.”
The words came out unplanned. Noah stopped for half a second, his eyes locked on mine, and something in him softened in a way that almost scared me.
Then he kissed me with a different intensity—less provocation, more response.
The rhythm built again, less torturous now, more urgent, and we both edged too close at the same time to keep pretending we had any control.
I held the back of his neck with my good hand, kept my forehead pressed to his, and let the pleasure come without turning my face away.
Noah went first, his whole body contracting, his mouth open in a low sound he tried to muffle against my good shoulder.
I held him there, feeling every tremor, every broken breath, and the sight of him losing his composure with me was enough to pull me over right after.
The climax hit me hard, deeper than I’d expected, rolling through my abdomen, my chest, my throat, leaving my legs tense and my hand locked on his waist. For a few seconds, there was no last name, no past, no Julian, no lie.
Just Noah, warm against me, breathing like he’d barely survived too.
Afterward, the silence didn't come empty.
It came too full. Noah stayed close, his forehead resting against my good shoulder, while my hand moved slowly across his back.
The gesture was automatic, and when I realized it, I almost stopped.
Almost. He seemed to notice too, because his breathing changed against my skin, but he didn't pull away right away.
We stayed there long enough for the rain to fill the room again, for our bodies to come down from the high, and for the lie of “just physical” to seem even flimsier than before.
“Are you okay?” he asked, lifting his face, clearly trying to salvage some professionalism from the wreckage of the moment.
“I don't know,” I answered, because the real answer didn't fit on a pain scale of one to ten.
Noah looked at me for a few seconds, and I knew he understood more than I wanted him to.
Then he stood up, grabbed a small towel from his supplies, and started putting us back together with the same careful calm he used after sessions.
There was no crude embarrassment. There was something worse: intimacy.
The kind of intimacy that makes two people move in silence, tending to each other's bodies while pretending it doesn't reveal more than the pleasure.
When he came back to adjust the white tape that had come loose at one edge, I stayed quiet.
Noah pressed the strip against my skin, his fingers unhurried now.
The gesture was simple, technical again, but now the tape seemed to mark a surrender I hadn't authorized out loud.
He was close, disheveled, his mouth still red, his skin warm, and I couldn't call this a relapse with the same conviction.
Maybe I couldn't even call it physical without the word sounding small, cowardly, and stupid.
“You're going to tell me what you found today,” I said, but my voice came out less hard, more tired.
Noah didn't look up. “Not today.”
“That's not an answer.”
“It's the only one I have without destroying something in the process.”
Before I could push, my phone started vibrating on the table.
Mason's name appeared on the screen, which was strange in itself, because Mason preferred to walk into my house unannounced rather than call like a civilized person.
I answered with my shoulder still warm under Noah's fingers, and Mason's voice came through without his usual opening joke, which made me straighten up.
“Damon, Julian's on campus,” Mason said. “He got here twenty minutes ago, went into the admin building, and asked about you before the next game. And for God's sake, whatever you're doing, wrap it up and put on a shirt, because he doesn't look like he came to talk like a concerned brother.”
