1. Felix #3
My palm hovered above her ear, moving down her face and above her exposed arm.
Long, pin-straight strands of her hair were wrapped around her body like tentacles, wrapping around her while she remained in what seemed to be a deep sleep.
And as I followed those wild strands, I noticed her thigh was exposed, highlighted by the moonlight.
An intrusive thought entered my mind as my jaw tightened, before an odd protectiveness took over.
I gently tugged at the large, knit blanket and raised it over her body, covering her, and in doing so, I was hit with a scent of what could only be described as some kind of sugary marshmallow or spun sugar.
She smelled so good. I bent down, crouching next to her bed and lifted my mask just enough to take a nice, deep breath, inhaling her intoxicating smell.
Fuck me.
The sweet essence of her flooded my nostrils and made my heart nearly stop.
The way it hit my lungs was almost identical to sucking on a piece of hard candy, the effects both pleasing and exhilarating.
I leaned forward, wanting more as my hands gripped the sheets.
I struggled to compose myself, the veins in my arms and hands all bulging as the overwhelming desire to ravage this little bunny had become nearly impossible to resist. The urge was so intense it almost drove me fucking insane.
I had to quickly step away, she smelled that fucking good.
Get your shit together, Felix!
I released her bedding and raised my arm before slapping my face, trying to knock some sense back into myself. The pain across my cheek shot me back to reality and I realized it was becoming dangerous for me to stay here with her.
You’ve been here long enough.
Rising to my feet, I moved back from the side of her bed before stopping in front of the gaming monitor, remembering the camera I’d hacked previously.
I reached out and adjusted it faintly, checking the live feed on my phone to ensure the angle was just right.
Then, I took one last look at Dream before forcing myself to leave her bedroom, quietly closing the door behind me and lowering my mask.
Sleep well, cottontail.
I made my way down the dark hall and stepped back into the neon-lit living room, taking one last look around. As my eyes scanned the cluttered walls, I noticed what appeared to be a small fish tank sitting on a floating shelf in the living room.
Hmm. I don’t remember seeing that when I walked by earlier.
I inched closer, leaning down until I was eye level enough to look into the dark tank.
Oddly enough, there was no water or fish, but instead a thick layer of what looked like dirt.
There were large amounts of little plants, misted and filling the small enclosure, intertwined with what appeared to be thick webbing.
What the—
A large, vibrantly-colored magenta spider suddenly appeared from within the enclosure, peeking out from the curved cork bark. I stumbled back, staggering into the nearby coffee table, knocking the headphones from my ears as I nearly fell over in a panic.
“She won’t bite you.”
The color drained from my face as I slowly turned to see Dream, standing just a few feet away in the dark hallway.
She was wide awake with her long hair flowing down past her back, wearing a thin, pale, blush-colored cami and velvet ruffle shorts.
The thin pajama set hung just right from her curves, allowing her perky nipples to peek through while she stood there.
She was barefoot with her hands behind her back, her head tilted as her large hazel eyes locked onto me.
My cheeks burned at the sight of her and I had to swallow, salivating at the way she made me feel. But then I remembered where I was and what I had been caught doing.
Shit—
And yet, despite everything, what really took me back was when she moved one of her arms, lifting what looked like a small bedazzled handgun, and aimed it directly toward me.
Instead of grabbing my own concealed weapon, I slowly raised my arms, taking a step back. “Easy now.” I gently tried to calm her. “I can explain—”
She cocked her head and took a step toward me.
“I’m not stupid.” She inched closer. “I knew someone was watching me.” Her voice remained low like a whisper, hanging in the night air as she kept encroaching on the space between us.
“I told them I felt eyes on me…heavy, hungry eyes, looking for their fill.” Dream stopped and blinked. “Did you think I didn’t know?”
I took another step back, both turned on and worried by her boldness. “I—”
“Shhhh!” She pressed her manicured finger along her lips and smiled, baring her teeth. “They said I was crazy…but who’s crazy now?” She let out a faint, whimsical laugh as her finger hovered over the trigger, quickly pulling it with a loud expression. “POW!” Dream giggled loudly to herself.
I blinked, trying to understand what the hell just happened. And why her gun didn’t go off. “What the—”
Dream fluttered her eyelashes and tilted her head in a playful way.
“Need a light?” She waved the rhinestone-covered gun around, a single flame burning from the tip of the barrel.
“Well?” She popped the magazine open, revealing a bunch of cigarettes stored like ammo, before pulling a single one out.
I didn’t respond, trying to grasp the fact her gun was no more than a ridiculous toy-like contraption created to store and light them.
“Here.” She briskly walked toward me, offering them to me.
“From the smell of you, I take it you’re a heavy smoker. ”
I couldn’t speak and just stared at the woman, taken aback by her brazenness.
She flashed me another smile that made my knees weak, and without warning, she popped the cig between her lips and raised the toy gun, pulling the trigger and lighting the tip.
The flame flickered bright, dancing in the reflection of her hazel-colored irises.
“What’s the matter?” she asked, exhaling a cloud of smoke. “Cat got your tongue?”
I gently plucked the cigarette free from her fingers and leaned down, observing her closely.
She blew a small trail of gray smoke into my face as I squeezed her chin softly.
It was obvious she lacked any hint of fear in regards to me, which only made me more curious. “More like a rabbit,” I replied.
