Posy

There’s nothing quite like watching the man you love cradling his daughter. Rocking her like he’s got all the time in the world for her.

He glances up, his green eyes dancing. “You should be resting.”

Blowing him a kiss, I pick up Princess and cuddle her as she yowls her displeasure.

She’s been a bit of a mess since we brought the baby home last week but we only moved into our new home on the ranch a couple of months ago and she’s still getting used to it.

Cats are a lot like humans. They don’t like change.

She purrs and bumps my chin and Stone grumbles. “Save a little for me.”

Grinning, I cuddle Princess closer. “You know I’ve always got some sugar for you.”

He groans and adjusts himself. “This is gonna be a long six weeks.”

Waggling my brows, I grin. “Doesn’t mean I can’t play.”

“Don’t tease me, woman,” he growls. “I’m not fucking your fingers until I can have your damn pussy.”

Shaking my head, I laugh. “That’s your choice.”

He stalks over and kisses me, his lips clinging to mine. Moaning, I lean into him and feel that twinge of desire in my core.

Swatting him, I push him away. “Don’t tease.”

But I love it. We got married a few months ago and it’s so strange. I’ve spent my life running and now I’ve got a whole family looking out for me where I was always alone.

And Sandy is my best friend. She loves to hang out with me and Serena. Lives for that baby smell!

Dropping Princess on the couch, I sit down and Stone drops down beside me, settling Serena into his side as he pulls me close and kisses my forehead.

His green eyes are so full of love that tears fill my eyes. “Damn hormones,” I grumble, wiping them away.

He laughs and tugs me tighter into his arms. “I love your hormones.”

“You love my pussy.”

“Watch your mouth, Posy. The baby’s right here.”

“She doesn’t understand us.”

But I lean against him and sigh. My arms wrap around his slim waist and he shuffles me until I’m lying on his chest. “Go to sleep, Sugar. You’ve been working your ass off and you need your rest. I’ve got you.”

My eyes close and I sigh heavily. He does. Everything I need he takes care of. Every time I need him it’s like he always knows.

I wasn’t sure after that first mistake if we’d ever really get here. But this is just what I always pictured when I was growing up.

“I love you, Stone.”

He smiles as he kisses the top of my head. “I love you too, Sugar. Now sleep. I’ve got you.”

A smile curls my lips and I let myself go. Let myself slip into deep, dreamless sleep.

I don’t need them when I’m asleep. Because he is my dream. My husband, my lover, the father of my children.

My home.
